    Since Buc-ee’s is deliberately not accommodating to semi truckers, I’m not surprised they don’t allow overnight parking for RVs or cars. Better chance at a Petro, Loves or Pilot since they are geared for truckers overall.

    It's great that you guys asked the manager first before overnighting in the parking lot. My wife and I were full time RVers for over 2 1/2 years. We "always" went into Cabela's - WalMart - Cracker Barrel - etc. and asked to speak to the manager to get permission to overnight. We never just pulled into a parking lot and took it upon ourselves to overnight. You guys did it right.

      Asking the manager is pointless, question should be what is company policy for overnight parking? And what is the local ordinance for overnight parking. Manger might be friends with the tow truck company… boot on the wheel, Walmart has no overnight parking in over 40 years.

    I'm a Texan living in MN but travel often to TX for family. I love Buc-ee's! You didn't show the immaculate bathrooms! Bummer that you can't stay overnight (I have a 25' RV) but the gas is cheap, DEF at the pump, and that brisket sandwich brings me back every time! New to your channel - had to watch your trip to Buc-ee's though! Happy travels!!!

    We just had a buc-ee's built in our area S.C. the one in this video looks twice as big as ours. They told us that trucks aren't even allowed to pull up in their parking lot. If they wanted to come shop there they had to leave their truck out at the road and walk to the store. I guess I can understand this trying to keep lot lizards of the parking lot, but at the same time it seems like they are missing out on a lot of money. Now since this place is supposed to be family oriented, I don't understand why they wouldn't let RVs park for the night in a designated area. Another thing I didn't understand is with the size of those bathrooms why they couldn't put a couple of shower stalls in there. We had a problem with our hot water briefly and thought that I would be able to take my senior citizen the mother-to-be family-oriented Buc-ees and get her a shower. No I had to take her to the damn pilot and sit there with a bunch of truckers waiting for shower. I haven't been back to buc-ee's since then. I mean they have got so much unnecessary crap in there, but is missing one of the things that travelers yearn for the most... A hot shower.

    Hi. Love the video! A few weeks ago, while driving from NOLA to MN we stopped at a Buc-ees We checked to see if we could stay the night in the lot, as we have seen more than one TH-camr channel do it. We were told that there is no overnight parking, ever. Claimed that if it were allowed, their lot would be full. Others would not be able to park and shop if this occurred. I wish they told me this before I purchased the extra stuff... okay, my bad..... I ate all the extra stuff with a big smile...beef jerky and treats.... and I loved it.

    Great visit. Glad you were able to get some rest. Tanya doing that cute walk back and forth in front of all the snacks just made me laugh.
    Buc-ee's looks like so much fun and very easy to spend money. I'd go broke there.
    Doesn't surprise me that they don't allow overnight parking. They don't welcome semi-trucks on their property or allow truckers to shop in their store if they show up in a semi, even if it is just the cab portion. Makes me wonder how they get their merch.🤔
    Cracker Barrel allows overnight, just talk to the manager so they know about you. Perfect for breakfast the next morn. My fav is Grandma's Sampler Pancake Breakfast.🤤

      @jershuw ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Speaking as someone that's in Texas and lives near a Buc-ees personally I think it's kinda nice. I'm sure anyone that's gone on long road trips can attest to that emergency stop to stretch their legs late at night at a truck stop/gas station. I know there's nice ones as well but a lotta them specially in the middle of no where are shady as heck. So places like Buc'ees are nice since you know what you're getting and they are very good about their locations being super clean, something a lotta truck stops.. lack. Buc-ees is made as a tourist stop (seriously some people do trips just to go to one) they've also been more than kick ass to locals (and truckers) during hurricane relief efforts. There's also usually a Circle J or Loves often not super far from most Buc'ees so most truckers can walk over if they want at least.

    For those who are not familiar with the Fort Worth area, just drive 1/4 mile south from Bucee's onto I35W SB to Cracker Barrel. They have no problem with over nighters. It sounds like you drove twenty minutes further up north to the Denton Bucees. Wish Bucee allowed over nighters; we all spend enough money there: gas, meals, drinks, junk food and lots of souvenirs. We all love Bucee's but one thing that really bothers me, is that there are no tables or benches to sit down and eat the sandwiches and stuff you just bought. Still love 'em though and when family comes to town, that is always the first place we all head to.

      It's their policy, when you drive into any buc'ees there's signs every where no trucks/overnight. They are okay with RV's parking just not overnighting. That's part of what makes Buc'ees so attractive to people down here. Lotta truck stops middle of the night just feel creepy/dingy with some of what you see, since they dont let people stay past their shopping/using facilities it gives them the ability to keep their places pretty immaculate. Only down side of Buc'ees is most of them are so crowded with people stopping cause it's Buc'ees that if you deal with any kind of anxiety you have to keep talking yourself down from a panic attack. lol

If I'm going to spend $100+ for gas and goodies i would like to be sleep for a few hrs if necessary. We usually go to LOVES, Pilot, Cracker barrell. I have yet to see their lots overrun with RV's. So I guess a stop at Buc-ees won't be on my itinerary for the next road trip. I'll continue to support businesses that support us.
    Thanks for the fun video and the information. Hope to see you down the road!

    @ 1:40 Buc’ee’s does have those windshield bug squeegee washer things, they’re just located separately somewhere away from the gas pumps. You have to look around and find them… maybe normally located next to the carwash area… you’ll see them because there are literally thousands of them in its own windshield washing station area.
    😂🤣😂😂
    It’s pretty impressive as well because Buc’ee’s keeps those windshield washers very well maintained always with clean fresh windshield washing solution in their squeegee dunk buckets. Unlike other gas stations where their squeegee dunk buckets are usually filled with disgusting dirty stinky nasty bug guts infested water! Haha!!!

    As a trucker, I finally was able to walk across the bridge to a Buc-ee's for the first time a few days ago in Croosville, TN. It's really just a glorified truck stop that doesn't allow trucks. They have a big country store, but other than that, i didn't think it was all that special. What ticked me off, however, was the fact they didn't have ANY place to sit down and eat, not even outside!
    If I had just driven 5 hours in my car, the last thing I'd want to do is to eat and try to relax in it. They truly want you to fuel, buy snacks and other things, then LEAVE.
    But to also not allow any RVs to park there overnight is even more ridiculous. They really need to rethink their vision of what a travel center is. Their vision is completely off. I won't be back.

    • @redwolfexr
      @redwolfexr ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah, that is pretty much what they are. A huge "country store" and a big food court with no seating. You can't pay for anything until you are headed out the door - so they don't have a dining area. They also charge to refill water bottles at the soda tap too. (when I am on my motorcycle) Water and Ice refills are often more expensive than buying a cup of soda.
      Some of their food is pretty decent and portions are large. But their barbeque is pretty inconsistent. Just stick with the kiosk ordered "fresh from sysco" foods if you eat there.

    • @RedNekLvr22
      @RedNekLvr22 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@redwolfexr I don't understand the appeal. It's the opposite to what a travel center should be, IMHO.

    • @redwolfexr
      @redwolfexr ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@RedNekLvr22 large portions at a decent price, fresh bbq sandwiches and snacks and every drink you ever heard of. Plus their own line of high carb snacks.
      If you think about it you don't usually eat inside the gas station of a travel center. I still stop sometimes - but I never got on the "hype train."
      The BBQ sandwiches are fairly expensive, while the kiosk burritos and snacks are huge and reasonable.

      The appeal is a huge amount of gas pumps, NO semis, clean bathrooms and the largest selection of any kind of food item you could want for a road trip. And there is a really nice area to walk my dogs. I always stop at Buc-ees.

    At least you two have no electronic logs with hours of service. I am kind of surprised though because I thought over the road truck drivers were the only people kicked put of places because of poo bags and pee bottles on the ground. I always plan my routes on everything I do for the next day or night. I never park at any place other than a truck stop because I may get kicked out. With RVs though, I thought there were no rules.
