My scariest encounter was at a state park, I was cooking dinner and I had cops literally bust my door open and enter. I was all a mistake, but imo a scary one.
Don't say "We're cooking dinner" .... that's like saying "come rob us, we are sheep" ..... When they ask, "What are you doing??" .... Answer: "I'm Cleaning ONE of my Guns!"
Always trust your instincts. What an uncomfortable situation, I’m glad y’all moved. Just one question, do you have your bikes padlocked to your rig? If not, might wanna consider it. There are some strange, mentally ill people out and about.
You should by a fire arm, take a course, I live in north west las vegas, and carry a concealed weapon, got my ccw permit.. It's not like years ago, to many people messed up on drugs, or they are mentally unsound. Rather have one and not need it, then needed it and not have it.
Totally agree, my husband is on a motorcycle journey up to New Brunswick Canada to his parents house and vlogging for his TH-cam channel along the way as he disburse camps and sees this country of ours but I made him buy a gun for not only wildlife like bears but in case he came across people looking to do some bad. So sad that anyone even has to resort to such measures but this is the way of life lately so much bad in the world.
My wife and I have a 44ft Class A and have traveled all over the country. We try to stay at campgrounds, but have stayed at some truck stops and a few parking lots. We've had 2 instances where thugs decided to mess with us. We have 4 cameras around the rv and solar motion lights that will shine 50 feet out. You can't come close to us without being lit up. One night a couple of idiots thought they might try to break in our door. We have the usual rv lock, two deadbolts, and a bar inside that prevents the door from opening. So they were trying to pull on the handle and I pointed my shotgun at them through the window in the upper part of the door. I then asked who wanted to go to hell first? They ran to their car and took off. We then moved to another place for the night in case they came back. We are both trained in firearms and have 3 handguns with us as well as our shotgun. When we are on the road driving, all of the guns are locked up in a safe in our master bedroom closer. Even the shotgun. I then have our Byrna non-lethal gun in the console next to me. The second incident happened when we were in Colorado and stopped at a rest stop and some drugged out freak came up to us and demanded that we give him our money. I pulled the Byrna from my holster and asked him to lay down. He complied. My wife called 911 and a Deputy arrived in 10 minutes. If he had started to get up, I would have shot him with the teargas projectiles I had loaded. He would then have complied. The Deputy had run into this guy before and hauled him off to jail. He asked if we were okay and I assured him we were just fine. My travel security plan is simple. Stay at populated locations, keep our heads on a swivel, assume many people are assholes, always carry and always trust our training.
Im wondering about traveling with guns. How do you deal with traveling through states that have really tough restrictions? We have conceal carry in Wisconsin, but right next door in Illinois we cant carry our guns at all.
Hope I never have to use it, but I love that line... "Who wants to go to he'll first?" 🤣🤣🤣 I'm going to Google Byrma... not familiar with that. I do have a Glock I plan to carry, trained, but rusty, so I may go back for practice and get my CCW.
Absolutely! We definitely trusted our instincts. It was such a weird sequence of events that happened over several hours. The security guard was helpful for sure. Thumbs up for him and the team. We still felt like the best move for us was to MOVE ON!
They definitely wanted your bikes. They probably would of broken in too. If you guys havent yet, get security camera for front, back, and side of your van. Keep yourself protected at ALL times. People are very brazen today. Prayers for safety always!
Thanks so much for sharing. That is scary to think about. We assumed they were thinking of throwing our bikes in their van, but we didn’t consider them trapping us in between their two vehicles. We got very nervous when the SUV came back with the white van because we thought the security guard had just gone on break as well.
Either that or have an enclosed vehicle for stealing smaller items and the truck for the bikes. They probably expected them to go inside and gamble. Our son's car has been broken into at casino parking lots.
That is the exact reason I will not have a travel trailer. I will have a van or an RV where I have easy access to the driver seat. When my husband and I camped, we had to move one time and all he had to do was move up to the front seat and driveway.
@@kathleenbueter1272when I was sleeping in my car I ALWAYS slept in the front seat that way if anything went down I could just take off ! ALWAYS backed into parking spaces too ! They probably just wanted to break in or take my car smh NOT TADAAYYYY
A friend of mine had the same creepy experiences so he put a spotlight on the roof which beams a 50’ laser and would light up the the whole area when strangers came by. It works very well and instantly alerts people to your area so that the strangers are seen by all. Cheers
As a retired emergency planner, always listen to your gut. You were not overreacting and did what any intelligent persons would do. Its called survival and even watching what you both went through breaks my heart and I was so worried, I became nauseous. I’m glad you both left as it could have been much worse to stay
this is exactly why as an American, you need to carry when you're on the road. you may never think you need it and then boom, you're faced with a possibly a life or death situation and the only equalizer is by carrying....stay safe.
They wouldn't think anything at all about carjacking you, also makes you wonder about the security guards doesn't it? Good thing you stayed aware and got out of there because we're not bulletproof.
I was the accounting manager over all of Primm Valley, Whiskey Pete’s, the gas station, lotto store and 2 golf courses from 95-2005. You just gave me a walk into my past. Love your content but this is the boom in kaboom for me. Thank you.
When strapping 1 or more bikes to the back of your van, what ‘‘tis the most secure” method that also makes sure thieves cannot remove your tires\ wheels or other parts off your bikes? IS THERE ANY WAY YOU CAN PUT YOUR BIKES IN THE “garage” of your van, so the bikes won’t be visible and vulnerable to thieves?
Be observant and mindful that America has gone nuts. You take us out of that reality twice a week. I am looking forward to your "double b-day" show, cards, and gifts reveal. I tracked the presents I sent to you and my box was delivered😊 STAY SAFE❤❤❤❤❤❤
Overreacting? Absolutely not. Right after that first encounter, I would've been gone! Y'all did the right thing. I always thought that area would be a great spot for the night... too bad.
We felt that way as well. It was such a weird sequence of things that happened to us while we were there. We're NOT easily spooked but something REALLY didn't feel right and after that encounter with that man...our instincts kicked in and we trusted our gut and got the HECK out of there. RV Overnighters are a big thing with many RVers out there. We hope this helps remind them to always pay attention to your surrounding and trust your gut. Than you for watching. We appreciate you! 🙏
They were totally scoping out your rig. Seeing if maybe you left it and went inside. They most assuredly would have grabbed your bikes and probably made entry as well. Your intuition was spot on!
Its not Safe anymore to live in a rv or Camper! The Country has changed and none of us are as safe as we were! Its Smart that you are Vigilant! Stay safe and God Bless!❤
So glad you both are safe! On a funny note, I was traveling to AZ and on the way stop at a gas station at night to sleep! Well one of my cats started ducking and peering out the window at a grassy field! That was enough for me to leave and find a travel truck stop to sleep at ! 🤣🤣
You definitely did the right thing. We are in the era of "smash n grabs" and laundry detergent being locked up at the store. Be safe! Perhaps cover your bikes and consider security cameras. We have ones that send an alert to our phones if someone gets within a certain distance to our home.
This was the first I saw your chanel & I enjoyed it. I don't know if I could sleep a wink in my vehicle these days. When my daughter was 3,(1977)she & I packed up to move from Mich to Calif. Sleeping in our station wagon, stopping at rest stops & cooking on a 2 burner propane stove we felt safe & had no problems but this world isn't that safe now
Whew! That was very unnerving. PLEASE always trust your gut and go IMMEDIATELY when it begins to alert you. Forget about cooking dinner or second guessing what may or may not be happening. You didn't overreact; in my estimation you delayed your departure--even allowing the one casing vehicle to return with another, circle, and park beside you . . . more than once! Better to err on the side of caution and immediately follow your instincts to leave a location that doesn't feel right then to err in the other direction. Love you two! Stay safe! ♥
You went with your gut feeling which is always a good thing to do. I watched a video where a solo woman in parking lot was woken up by noises under her van, and it was literally 2 people puncturing her gas tank and stealing her gas. Who knows what they were scouting you for whether your bikes or god only knows, but we have a 6th sense for a reason. Our perceptions pick things up that might not be conscious to us, but will give you that gut feeling something isn’t right. Glad you’re both ok. I love your echo!
You did the right thing to leave. You were not overreacting. They may have spotted you earlier when walking around. A bit too deserted. Always have to be on high alert. I always recommend parking near cameras (many are monitored 24/7). I think they were after the bikes, but you never know. Hopefully you have something to defend yourself. Doesn't have to be lethal. I just like being around more people. I love that you are cook and it looks tasty.. Looks yummy.
Wow! I'm so happy that you two were not so into your video shooting or dinner that you weren't paying attention to your surroundings. Good looking out guys for not letting your guards down, you absolutely did not over react. Y'all are pros! I was so relieved to see you two waking up in a safe location with coffee and kitties .What I was going to say before we were so scarily interrupted was that you are rocking those different camera angles, like a pro. I'm a Midwestern girl so I enjoy all the scenery out west. Stay safe guys and have fun. PS, I had to laugh at the huge smile on Dave's face when you mentioned that brown suga.😂
My husband and I used to stop at Whiskey Pete's all the time in his diesel, and that area can get pretty sketchy. I don't think they were after your bikes. Im glad you are safe 😊
You two be very careful out there because there are some crazy people out there in our world no you were not overacting it’s a dangerous place out there enjoyed watching your videos may the lord continue to bless and protect you.❤😊
Thank you for your blessings. It's a beautiful place that unfortunately has some bad apples. We always pay attention to our surrounding. That was a pretty scary encounter and with the weird sequence of events that happened there over a few hours we just knew something didn't feel right. We hope this video helps anyone out there traveling, staying at Overnight spots or off-grid and serves as a reminder to always pay attention to your surroundings. Trust your instincts, and if you feel uncomfortable in a situation like this, MOVE ON!!! God bless you! 🙏
It feels like the twilight zone on so many levels. 1st I thought you guys were from Vegas but hearing you describe prim like you were in unknown abandoned location was totally bizarre. I still can't wrap my head around you not being familiar with the entrance into las Vegas coming from CA state line..?..2nd I lived in LV only moved a year ago and could have swore buffalo bills and that whole area was bustling busy and up and running when I checked on my storage six months ago...3rd I have been on those rides with my nephew,, as a family we were back and forth from riverside to Vegas quite a bit and just realized my nephew was around 6 and he is now 29 lol I'm officially old because I remembered it like it was yesterda😅 any way im so glad you guys have your wits about you I that parking lot situation. Awareness is key. He was casing you.
Sorry you had to experience this, some people are just so miserable with their lives they want to add misery to someone elses. Glad you trusted your instincts. Always wishing you two and all van lifers safety.
You all made the safest choice in times like this. It's good too have protection. There's always trouble lurking. Stay safe out there & always good to follow you instincts.
Wow. Glad you guys moved on. We once had a weird encounter at a gas station, people asking for a ride to get their car just up the on ramp. The hair on the back of my neck stood right up. My husband agreed, I told him there was NO way I would agree. Super sketchy. Always trust your guy.
The Great I Am's intervention halted the plans of those lawless, pathetic individuals who were surveilling your RV. HE ensured that you both could leave those premises unscathed, untouched, and unbothered, and HE further ensured that those two vehicles could not follow you to your next destination. You both are protected by HIM more that you'll ever know. Keep the faith. GOD bless!
They really need to refurbish and set it up for RV'ERS, we all know how adventurous they are and families would love it! Great video! Love and Light everyone. ❤😊
Thank you very much for sharing the scary parking lot idiots. It keeps it real and doesn't sugar-coat that life happens even when on the road. Glad that nothing really bad happened.
I am glad you are aware of your surroundings and noticing vehicles from the day that are showing up at night too. It sucks that you have to change where you are sleeping but you are better to be safe than sorry.
This was a very intense video. You can never be too careful. There’s a lot of maniacs out there so like you said, trust your gut if you don’t feel particularly comfortable in a place move on this was awesome and very informative. I’m glad you guys are safe. Why wouldn’t you be? You’re very smart. I love seeing the kitties Brady and Bailey peace and blessings.🙏🏽🙏🏽🩷💜
We had to share this. It could happen to ANYONE one. We sure this helps our fellow RVers out there who do overnighters or off-grid camping to ALWAYS pay attention to your surrounding, trust your gut, and if you feel uncomfortable in any situation, move on and find another spot.
Oh, God! I remember we went to Disneyland when I was a child and I was too short to drive the little cars. Now at 76, I've lost an inch and 3/4 and am 4'11" so probably STILL wouldn't be tall enough. LOL!
Grew up going to Vegas to visit my grandpa every spring and we always made the trip out to Buffalo Bills casino. My best friend and I loved going there and that rollercoaster was soooooo scary! Didn’t realize it’s all shut down. Gunna share this video with my mom, it will bring back memories for her too. Have a great time and always love watching ur videos!
You did the right thing by moving. Something similar happened to me deep in the forest where a guy pulled up and was trying to shine his flashlight in my car. I’m a woman that was traveling alone. He was on a motorcycle in the pouring rain. I have window covers so he couldn’t see in. Or see how many people were in the car. I think he saw my dash cam that wasn’t on and left right away. I sat there quietly debating on sounding the car alarm or not. I felt like him not knowing I knew he was there gave me the upper hand. It was scary. Stay safe out there.
Definitely don’t think y’all overreacted!!!!! Wise to move especially when they came back with a van!!! Glad you’re safe! Love your videos!♥️🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻♥️🙏🏻
Why do I feel like I’m going to see more and more videos of “these types” of situation. I feel like it’s turning into the wild wild West. Stay safe! Luv you guys!
I took a PCH Roadtrip last year and I stopped at Terrible’s. So cool to see you stopped there as well. Sorry for the scary moments you encountered on your overnight park, but I’m glad you’re both safe.
My husband & I are thinking about traveling like this. Situations like this makes me think twice about doing this. Stay safe. That was scary so glad you are both ok.
As a Nevada native let me advise you about Casinos. Nevada is a 24/7 State and because of this, Casinos attract all kinds of crazy people up to no good. The crime rate in Nevada is pretty high due to this, so please be careful and while in Nevada, look for nice RV parks , as these are your safest options. Glad your ok and always follow your instincts

I am a true believer of getting the F out of dodge. You do what makes you safe, My life over your life. Love you guys!! ❤
I was so relieved to see you two waking up in a safe location with coffee and kitties
.What I was going to say before we were so scarily interrupted was that you are rocking those different camera angles, like a pro.
Thank God you're safe, listen to that feeling when it comes.
Thanks Reesie, we are glad we listened to our fears and left as well.
I'm glad y'all left always follow your gut. Happy you and the fur babies are safe. ❤
You absolutely did the right thing.
I worked at Primm Properties for 10 years. A couple of bad/sad things happened out there during that time. Stay safe!
Really enjoy these vlogs😊
Sorry you had to experience this, some people are just so miserable with their lives they want to add misery to someone elses. Glad you trusted your instincts. Always wishing you two and all van lifers safety.
Thanks so much, we really appreciate all your support!
ALWAYS trust your guts! Better safe than sorry. Y’all have enough road experience to have refined your inner “knowers”.
GOD bless!
You guys did the right thing. So glad that you are safe! ❤
They really need to refurbish and set it up for RV'ERS, we all know how adventurous they are and families would love it! Great video! Love and Light everyone. ❤😊
I do NOT think that you were over reacting. I was concerned for your physical safety. Smart move 👍👌
I love you all content. You all take my places I most likely I will never see but through you guys I get to see it all. Thank you.🥰💕
Security guard was probably in on it. They were setting it up. So glad you were astute. People are ruthless so be careful. You were right to leave.
You both did the right thing to leave that area and situation. I think your a wonderful and fun couple! Love your videos!!
We are one! So it's the same! 😉
Very Happy That You Moved To Another Truck Stop.
That was scary. Glad you guys left that place. God bless you and protect you.
Oh, God! I remember we went to Disneyland when I was a child and I was too short to drive the little cars. Now at 76, I've lost an inch and 3/4 and am 4'11" so probably STILL wouldn't be tall enough. LOL!
You made the right call, those people were acting very suspicious.
Glad you all are safe..
Thank you for sharing your video. Glad everything is OK.
You two are such a good team as a couple 💯
Grew up going to Vegas to visit my grandpa every spring and we always made the trip out to Buffalo Bills casino. My best friend and I loved going there and that rollercoaster was soooooo scary! Didn’t realize it’s all shut down. Gunna share this video with my mom, it will bring back memories for her too.
Have a great time and always love watching ur videos!
SOOOOO HAPPY you left the area and you’re safe!!! 😊
I'm so glad you all got out of there. That was creepy. Stay safe.
I'm so glad you're both safe and doing well.
Why do I feel like I’m going to see more and more videos of “these types” of situation. I feel like it’s turning into the wild wild West. Stay safe! Luv you guys!
Thank you. Be safe out there and be blessed ❤️🙏🏼
I took a PCH Roadtrip last year and I stopped at Terrible’s.
So cool to see you stopped there as well.
Sorry for the scary moments you encountered on your overnight park, but I’m glad you’re both safe.
Scary situation.. I'm glad y'all left and be safe out there
It was. Thank you! We appreciate it. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts.
Hi guys! Happy to see you again. Hate that finding accommodations is so difficult. Don’t they know it’s you? Have fun guys!
That was good you guys are aware of your surroundings. Better safe than sorry
Yes, we are thankful that we noticed what was going on. Once the man came up to me and asked if we were veterans, our alarm bells starting going off.
So glad you moved, definitely the best idea...Safe travels!❤❤❤
We definitely trusted our instincts. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We appreciate you! 🙏
My husband & I are thinking about traveling like this. Situations like this makes me think twice about doing this. Stay safe. That was scary so glad you are both ok.
Definitely wise for you to move. Glad you were safe and ok.
🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Oh my goodness! Glad you left.
BETTER Safe Than Sorry,So Glad you both and the Kitties decided to leave, That was scary. MUCH LOVE TO YOU BOTH JOY ❤
Better safe than sorry! Always trust your gut. Glad you're safe.
Not overreacting and so glad y’all are safe!!
Thanks so much, we really appreciate it.
You did the right thing and followed your gut, safety is and should be a primary factor anywhere you go.
