I don't blame you. Only 100 miles per plug in. That's insane. I'm glad you guys saw what I did. Plus your living in it. It's not ok to be that restricted.
"They're" working on 1000 mile batteries but for cars. The bigger aka more wind resistant, heavier and less aerodynamically designed aka tall and wide, the less mileage so far.
As time goes on maybe the performance will improve? I would try a hybrid and have both functions but definitely not all electric, it ain’t worth it.
Nothing compares to gas and it’s so much energy to make these batteries and dirty not really sustainable at all.
I love my all electric house until a power outtage😅

Indeed! It's not that the manufacturer didn't know that being able to drive ONLY 100 miles per full charge is restrictive but HIGHLY inconvenient. I would wait till the technology gets better and these charge units can go several hundred miles before recharging.

Just the thought of having constant EMF running all the time and the ringing in the ears from Electromagnetic Frequencies will give me headaches 24-7 (as it is with fluorescent lights in offices and hospitals).
I can't take stay too long under electricity 24-7.

Found y'all channel few weeks ago pretty much in middle the night. April always hard for me and my children as April is the month my 22 year old son was killed in a hit and run in 2019. It's been hard and lots sleep lost! I was so happy to run across your channel. I too full time in a RV and I have for 5 years. Since my son passed I kinda stopped going places and my 42 ft fifth wheel parked at my daughter house and I just don't go places. Seeing you guys and your travels have inspired me to get back out there! Make new memories that ik my son will be proud of me for. Love y'all's story and y'all have such beautiful marriage too. Love to see the love! Thank you for the content and motivation!

Anyone walking outside the van smelling bacon looking around wondering where the heck it's coming from. You guys have way too much fun! Enjoyed the information on this electric vehicle but the results weren't shocking.
We're truckers, and we are in Las Vegas and California several times a month, and you are not lying about that traffic!

Silver Strand! I grew up there right across the way in the Naval housing. Some of my very best memories involve that beach.

@synthcat Oh I get it. We have 400 watts of solar on the roof we also have 6 battle born batteries plus our van batteries charge while we drive. Last but not least we have sure power. ⚡️
I would think the whole car would have solar to help the overall system, eve if it was only good for 10 miles thats 10% better! It all has to start one where, I’d love the chance to get one!.

Dave, @ 20:20 I think you inadvertently handed Tanya a coffee with a piece of lint or maybe a kitty hair on the cup rim. I hope she didn't have a choking reaction. I love you two. I'm pretty sure that the reason you were hearing helicopters and military aircraft is because you were close to Camp Pendelton. When my brothers and I were kids our parents would take us camping on the beach within Camp Pendelton. I don't know about doing that now, but at that time the base allowed for civilian camping. And we always felt safe with our military men being close by.
I have to say that the sump pump sounded like a person fooling around in the shower. Hahaha! Winnebago might reconsider a different sounding pump. I can't begin to imagine the intense embarrassment a fourteen-year-old boy might feel when learning what his shower sounded like. You folks might already know about this, but I want to offer how to shower when water or hot water are in short supply. It's called a military shower. Basically, wet down, turn-off the water, soap-up head to toe, turn water on again and rinse. I sure love you two and I hope to meet you someday.
I'm glad that you reported on the EV camper van. And I valued all of what you had to say. But I can never say it enough for all the unaware people, that we are not ready for EVs at the present time. This primarily being due to the following reasons:
#1 Human rights violations of adults and children, including enslavement and severe injuries, for the mining of raw materials for EV batteries.
#2 Poisoning of tens of thousands upon tens of thousands of gallons of water, that are destroying wildlife, for the mining of EV battery raw materials.
#3 Dirty air charging every time the batteries are being recharged. This causes air pollution somewhere every time.
#4 Looking at the entire picture, EVs cause more pollution than ICE (gasoline & diesel) vehicles do.
#5 Needless manufacturing of EVs and the pollutions caused by just the manufacturing end of EVs.
#6 EVs are highly political and are only making money for the already wealthy.
I hate having to say this and rain onto peoples hopes for what could be a nice addition to our transportation needs. But the human rights violations alone bother me horribly, as that should be bothering everyone. Anyone considering an EV needs to think about who's shoulders they're standing on so that they can have an EV. As well as the fact that those shoulders are being ground into the earth.

The ocean is absolutely gorgeous. This van is a bit small for 2 people. It has advantages, like parking, but the EKKO is a lot larger and has better storage. Sorry, I need the larger RV.

Always nice when you can try before you buy! Nice to be able to give feedback to the manufacturer. I think it's a wise move but like you said Dave you need more distance between charging!! Looks quite a bit small than yours. I wouldn't like climbing over someone in the middle of the night to use the bathroom! Well at least you gave it a shot. Thanks for taking us along...safe travels

If you find yourselves up the coast in Oregon, go to the Sea Lion Caves. The cave is humongous, the Sea Lions are noisy and IT stinks but so worth it and there's the same kind of gift shop at the exit. And one of my favorite views looking north. The brochure (or your phone) will have all the info.

I think the All-Electric RV (at this time) is great for those who are not really driving to another destination, but more stationary. The pros of the all electric RV are great, and we have to start somewhere. As for the fossil fuel, Solar panels, and Litheum (WAY not environmentally friendly, especially for those in the mines and fields) we have to work and getting all that more efficient and far more Environmentally - and human friendly too! Love your points you made though!
About all electric rv/van life i am not going to comment coz i got no experience on it.

If u wanna say battery manufacturing is less healthier than gasoline or diesel manufacturing..... Plz msg me i will definitely argue u with proper facts how u r wrong....

Air Greenland flies biofuel. If an international airline in a remote part of the world can go green. The rest of the fossil fuel using transportation should be going green too.

Hey guys, I was a real estate broker in Las Vegas for 20 years from 1990 to 2010. Unbelievable life! Worked with celebrities, world, champion, boxers incredible experience! But we used to go from Las Vegas to Carlsbad California, which you will go by to go to San Diego. Absolutely one of the coolest tourist towns you’ll ever see! On the beach with really great restaurants, coffee, shops, and ambience! We stayed in a vacation home every time we went, which was right downtown! If you ever get a chance, would highly recommend it! Great beach, surfing bodyboarding, Fishing right off the pier!
5 hr drive did it a few times when our Son was Stationed in San Diego

now that's a crazy idea. Electric powered RV (not combustion engine). Electric vehicles are for getting groceries, nearby commutes, and taking kids to their local events. Definitely not a solution for roadtrips. Just like having a junky gasoline engine car for the same thing that wouldn't dare be used for long roadtrips.

You need those 3 extra feet back. I myself love our Hyper lite R.V. as it's 27' but has a huge
bathroom in the back with a 30" x 36" shower with a skylight. The only thing I wish
I had was a slide-out for the queen bed. Then it would be my dream RV. Love you

I like the concept, but they would need to incorporate solar panels on the roof, I think that would help with the charging issue.

I really was fascinated with the cave tour u took, I went to San Diego State University & am disappointed I never checked out the cave. Not sure I can do all those stairs now 😆😅🤣😂

Had to subscribe after the pole dance lol PS where I work in N.Calif. we have a LOT of charge stations that are free.. and the parking lots are covered, with solar panels.

I wish I could afford an all electric vehicle, I think it would be better for a solo traveler like me with only one cat lol. When my kids were younger we flew to LA and drove down to San Diego because my son was crazy for pandas and the San Diego zoo has one of the only panda exhibits in the US and she had just had a baby and he was still small but old enough for his own enclosure. I’m so glad my kids and I have that memory. We wanted to do the sea lions on the way home but it didn’t fit into our itinerary so I’ll have to hit that some day when I’m on the coast. I love that they let you guys check out the electric rig…we couldn’t have gotten a review from anyone better!! Whoop. Whoop. I wonder how frustrating would it be to keep charged up? I think we’re a few years out from what would be considered convenient charging for electric vehicles lol. Thanks so much for sharing ❤️❤️❤️. Love to you both.
Glad you got the chance to try it out but, not surprised it wasn’t for you right now. The range just isn’t good enough yet. Give it a couple of years and try again. It might be better.

Hey Guys... Well im actually 1 of your new fans i actually just started watching your really neat adventures and i just adore your LiL KiKis❤... I also couldnt help noticing that You guys are in San Diego? Well im from San Diego and i really hope that you guys have a great time while your here? I wantred to suggest A taste of Italy in HillCrest🏳🌈 you can eat outside its kinda small but YUMMY Pizza with some wine its super cozy and they just have some really cool lil stores along the street especially over like where it looks like down town hillcrest away from all the bars going towards hamberger marys theres some cool thrift shops, especially buffalo exchange and theres a super cute pet store with cool stuff for the KiKis❤theres also a whole foods sometimes they show movies on the roof in hillcrest at night under the stars... Anyway Im in Golden Hills here in San Diego and i love it here its a lil windy chilly today but i hope that you had fun in La Jolla and in your new van??? Peaceful Journeys...
