Probably a great camper for a rugged trip traveler or beginners maybe...but I like my comforts so Desert Snow still gets my vote. Enjoy Tahoe!
I think it’s fun for off road weekend camping, but for everyday to use and travel dealing with a pop up and not able to sit up in bed, doesn’t seem convenient for me. 🥺

You guys have tried quite a few types of rigs. Thanks for showing us there's more than one way to RV, debating it for retirement in a few years.
It has defniteou! yly given us a perspective of what else is out there. We enjoy sharing the experiences with you. Hope it helps. Happy almost retirement to
it would be interesting to know what the fuel comparisons are for the different rigs - the economy is rough on everything these days
I vote for Desert Snow. A truck camper has a lot of advantages, but I'm a Class C guy. The pop-top is an even bigger no-go.
Pop of soft side is not accepted in some bear bounty campsites such as Yellowstone. I'll stick with my Lance tt

You guy's are awesome 👌 I'm on my 4 years RV off grid tax free and 37 states so far .I camp 99% free .I have the 2020 Jayco 195 RB single axle travel trailer and it's about 3k dry weight , Well that is whats on the tag ...I pull my Jayco with my 2020 Ram 1500 4x4 with the 5.7 hemi and its a beast in power .😮

I started watching you two because of Desert Snow. Now, I would watch you guys no matter what you travel in and although the truck camper is awesome, the Ekko gets my vote for the ultimate camper to live and travel in. Love watching y'all. Wishing you the best on your future travels.

My daughter and her family live in Alaska. They use a truck camper: an Arctic Fox. They love it!

Lake Tahoe? You could get 12 feet+ deep snow, at any point in winter there. If it threatens to start, get chains on & head down to Carson City to continue. Comma Coffee is your place to be there.
I like the truck camper it looks really cool! I like the features that the truck has, but the RV Camper Desert Snow is a lot more practical and cozy! Kudos for the truck 🚛, but my vote is Desert Snow!! Dave let me tell you that you have mad swagger and look really cool driving that big rig!!!😊 Ok so I got to say that you are the BEST COUPLE EVER 💗🎉❤!!!!

50ish couple here who backpacks and kayak camps. We’re installing our FWC Project M this month. If your audience thinks that Granby is roughing it, they have no idea. It’s interesting to see responses from people who are unaware there’s vast community who enjoys overlanding. Compared to tent camping it’s gonna feel like luxury even if my “bathroom” is a well concealed bucket. 😂
I don't know what you use on your tires so you can get a better traction and grip on the snow.. but I heard of these things called I think they're called chain SOCKS . SOME GUY GOT THEM OFF OF AMAZON....

I felt cold while watching this video. Brrr! 😄 I love your adventures! Things sure have evolved through the years! I still remember an early video when you were in a Boston park (sorry, I don't remember the name of it) and Tanya was making snow angels. I think that was the video that you showed us the OG Cheers bar (from the outside)! That's about as adventurous as I want to get in the winter....in the middle of a city with warm restaurants nearby. STUMPTOWN COFFEE!!!! YUMMY, I live in Portland, OR only a couple of blocks away from a Stumptown shop, so I go there daily for my coffee, it is one of the best! The only States that have an actual stumptown shop are: Oregon, New York and LA California. So if you are in any of those states, check them out. FYI - With a soft top camper one is not safely contained in bear, wolf and mountain lion country. In fact if I remember correctly Yellowstone does not permit any soft top campers or tents for that reason. That being said it’s a nice unit overall.

I've been contemplating getting a truck with a camper over time. I don't mind the pop up if it's well insulated. My only issue is as a single female traveller, I want access to the driver seat without getting outside the vehicle in case I have to leave in a hurry.
Stumptown Coffee is well known on the west coast, especially Portland. I'm not into cold brew, though. I like my coffee sizzling hot. 🔥
My truck camper does allow access to the cab. As a single traveler the camper works well. It would be tough for two.
He's the guy that always says it's a funny statement he makes he can't believe that something is how it is and he goes and tries it out I can't remember what it is doing it but he was trying out those chain socks he says they last for a long long time not like the chains that you put on a break or THE ONES THAT HAVE THE WORD SOCK IN THEM ARE BETTER

Ok, that harvest host you were leaving in the opening was a massive orchard huh? I’m watching Tanya introduce the trip plans kind of in a parking lot and Dave is wandering around behind looking around like I don’t have any notes or script and he finally ends up standing a bit behind Tanya and I’m just giggling. Not saying anyone is the leader but Tanya is really spontaneous with silliness and Dave plays off it well but she’s the first to make up a funny dance or toss it off like, “right Dave?”
