- Here I return to my parents to improve the beach access from their patio. The access was already steep prior to the renovations, but the extension of the patio made it worse, so we devised a basic design for a retaining wall with inset granite steps to make the access easier and safer. Techo bloc semma gray was used for the walls and techo bloc blu 60 for the walkway and patio.
Equipment Used:
Excavator: 2022 Bobcat E50 R2-Series
Skidsteer/CTL: 2021 Bobcat T66
Mini Excavator: 2021 Bobcat E26 R-Series
Tractor: 2019 Kubota BX23s
Excavator Tilt: Bobcat Power Tilt
Dump Trailer: 2020 BigTex 14LP
Camera: GoPro Hero 7
Great job, I am impressed! Looks really nice. 👍 Good father-son team, you should be proud.
Thanks!
Fantastic job guys. Great seeing you out getting it done.
Gosh that man looks as though he could be your older brother instead of dad. But anyway. The quality of work, even though it is your parents house, never wavers. You give the same care with customers. There's no distinction. If anything, you are even better with your customers. Wonderful job 👏🏼.
Haha thanks! I'll be sure to let my dad know he is lookin young!
@@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC He does. I'm not just saying that. And I really like the music that you use on your videos.
Retaking wall and steps look great.
You put on a show of mastery performance with that articulating bucket on that machine. You sure know how to make it dance.
Thanks!
great foundation
Your getting a lot better!! I have dementia and I watch you all the time. Thanks 23:14
Thanks!
Very nice, looked like a ton of work even with the equipment 😅
It definitely was!
Good job, mate! Greetings from Czech Republic!
Thanks!
As an old lady, I can see how that would make me safer to get to the water. And it looks great?
Yep! That grass gets really slippery and everyone that has been to my parents, no matter the age, has slipped on it at least once.
Beautiful on the Pond
Looks great
do you have a video or could you make a video explaining your maths on finding proper excavation depth for building these steps built into walls? hope that made sense what im trying to ask
Yeah, I have considered making a video on that. I will try and do that in the future!
I can see how this is a lot like running lab in PoE :D
Please elaborate :)
Very nice. You left off your block clamp/grab from your equipment list. Pave Tool 980? I want one but for a couple of pieces of steel tubing the price is outrageous for my occasional use haha.
I used the pavetool 450 for the wall blocks and 980 for slabs/steps
I may have missed it in the commentary but is that like 56 stone for the base and some kind of 3/8 mix under the pavers?
Yeah, its a 3/4" clean crushed stone for the base and 3/8" clean crushed stone for the screeded bed
what is the name of that electronic grading system your dad is using?
Does that geotextile allow for water to infiltrate?
Yeah, it allows for water to pass through it
I was wondering the same thing. It looks like woven in some parts which doesn’t flow water nearly as well as non woven.
un compacted stone ?? yikes
