  • Here I help another neighbor clear some land to expand their backyard and take advantage of their land. Luckily I had both tracked machines for this job, otherwise it would not have been a fun time with all of the rain we had during it!
    Equipment Used:
    Excavator: 2021 Bobcat E26 R-Series
    Skid Steer/CTL: 2021 Bobcat T66
    Grapple: MTL XT Series Root Rock Demolition Grapple 72"

    Future investment a landclearing rake and a stumper attachment for your excavator . Awesome video !

    Incredibly good video and editing. Top notch job on land clearing. I was surprised on the power of that Bobcat E26 pushing over those trees and digging out the stumps. Thought it would be under powered for a job like that.

      Thanks! It is pretty suprising the work you can do with mini equipment. Have done many things that I expect Ill need something larger with the E26. Solid purchase!

      I would definitely like to get an E50 sized machine in the future.

    This was one of your best videos so far . The camera angles were really good and just enough time for each segment . Not to take anything away from it but I really like it at 2X playback speed. It really works with the tunes and tempo. You can even understand your narration. Thanks for sharing. Nice work as usual. The brush pile is great for the wildlife as well.

    Excellent job... Very capable machine you have , I've got kubota..The mini excavator is a surprisingly powerful for its size..

      Thanks! Yeah, it always surprises me how strong these mini's are. Way more power than they have weight, always tipping myself!

    The E26 is a pretty impressive work horse.

    Hard to go back to a tire machine after having tracks. Looks good man, the mini ex is impressive on what it can accomplish.

    Another good video. If I might ask a question, so how do you figure a price on a job like that which is going to be done in two different seasons? I would assume it's one price for the work done now and a completely separate price for the work to be done in the spring. Everything I've done so far has been one quote, with the work being done at one time on consecutive days as weather allows.

      I did two quotes for him. One for rough clearing and another for the finish work. Then I breakdown the time, equipment, materials and miscellanious requirements for both jobs to make the quotes.

    How do you guys like that t66 so far. Im tossed between the t66 or a caterpillar machine. Any thoughts.

      I haven't had the chance to demo other skid steers, but thus far I have been impressed with the T66 performance wise. I have only put ~100 hours on it thus far, so I haven't gone through a full service but it appears that everything is very protected, accessible and easy to service.

    Looking to start out with a machine, I run both at work but do mostly tree clean up. Which machine would you recommend to someone willing to do anything to make it work? I feel like I can get more attachments with the skid steer

    • @CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC
      @CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on what work you are looking to do and what is most plentiful in your area. I personally would prefer the excavator as a main/first machine as it is the most versatile for doing almost any task. I find the skid steer is really best as a complimenting machine in most jobs vs the main machine (bar doing just mowing, mulching or large area lawn installs)

      @@CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC thank you for the feed back, dealer has a t66 coming in. Depending on the price maybe I’ll get an e32 or something cheaper. Is mowing with a skid steer effective when comparing it with a tractor in your experience? I think I’d really enjoy that.

    • @CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC
      @CarlsonSonLandscapingLLC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the late reply. I don't get enough leads for mowing or mulching (I don't really advertise it) so I don't have a good comparison in terms of speed, efficiency or value.
