Same here. Christ Jesus saved me from a Homosexual lifestyle that I was in for well over 25 year's of my life. I was 4 months away from marrying a man who I had been in a long term relationship with.... God's love saved me and I am now studying to become a Pastor. I pray many more from the LGBT community come to know the love of our Heavenly Father.

An acquaintance of mine from college ended up dating and marrying a Muslim and her pastor told her, "you can't help who you fall in love with ". I was not in her life when she started seeing this person. I hope I would have had the courage to tell her she shouldn't date a nonbeliever because you can "help who you choose to date". I'm pretty sure she had started spending time with her husband in order to minister to him, therefore "missionary dating". They ended up having children who I believe have all become Christians, and she is now married to someone else.

I knew she was getting wrapped up with a Muslim classmate, very fond of him, and couldn't tear herself away from him. I was so disappointed because she was, right before that, very pure & really devoted to the Word. I think she eventually ended it with him but I'm sure there was MUCH heartache. ugh I have no idea where she is today!
@@ybh8ful I reconnected with this young woman once social media became a thing several years after college. She was already married by then. She was always a very emotional driven person. I have not had a conversation with her since college, just a bit of interaction over social media. I do not know where she is spiritually and would be interested to know now she would characterize her original marriage decision. Obviously God's grace has blessed her with children who I pray remain faithful to the gospel. I do not know what their relationship is with their father. I believe he may be living overseas as I know at one point the entire family had moved to the middle east.

My friend went to a progressive church for 3 years. She mentioned that they do not use the word “God” or “Jesus” because it can be offensive to some. It was shocking to hear. I have watched Colton on his bachelor journey. It is quite sad. Thank you Becket for all the scriitures. Helpful to see the difference between God’s word and this culture.
The “Progressive church” (what a misnomer) wants all the benefits that come with walking with God without any of the repentance and work Paul refers to in Philippians 2:12. This church referred to God as a “she”. They do not want to use “God” because others in the congregation may not believe in God, they believe in a spirit or being. Progressives are all about acceptance of different beliefs and theology, except the correct one. No, that is too restrictive and not allowed.
They are trying to make LGBT the dominant culture, The LGBT movement will be like a nationality, a religion and a political identity. .Pride flag will replace the US flag, people will be asked to pledge allegiance to the movement. Wow...so true. The father loved the prodigal even while he was sinning. But while he was sinning, it would be ridiculous to say they had "right relationship", nor to say that the father's love negated the wrongness of the son's behaviours.

I am so afraid for the kids of this generation. The deception and lies are so strong, it's a miracle from God that anyone finds their way out of this sin-filled world.
What happened to me when I was saved was that I didn't want to do the sins that had me trapped before I was saved. I was transformed, and really did hate the things (sins) I once loved, and loved the things (things of God) I once hated. I am not saying I became perfect by a long shot, but I really became a new, and different person. The things I struggle with now are not the overt sins I used to love. What I struggle with now are much, much more sneaky (not loving and praying for my enemies, not being truthful at times, etc.).
I think too many of us in the church don't really believe in the power of God's grace to actually transform. That's why we don't know what to do with these issues in the church and end up compromising. The sin in my life is not as visible to the outside world as some sin and it becomes too easy to live the "good Christian life" without much power. A lot of us in the church are in that space I believe. In the last year as church from home has become more prevalent such complacency has increased because no longer is iron sharpening iron.

I’m a born again Christian and I relate to you Becket Cook in a lot of ways. I love you and I love your show so much! I was raised catholic and was so terrified of the way that they taught about God , I also went to a Jesuit school and experienced a lot of abuse. I always loved God but as I grew up I sought God in all the wrong places. I bought into the new age teachings and Hollywood dreams etc (I’m a stylist) I have totally committed my life to God and Jesus Christ. I read the Bible everyday. I have completely changed my life. I have been celebate, stopped drinking, drugs etc for over a year and I don’t miss it at all. I am really struggling with quitting smoking, I started smoking after being raped and it became a security blanket for me. I desperately want and need to quit. I feel like it’s the last sin I need to conquer, will you please pray for me. It’s really bothering me and I don’t want to sin anymore. I feel like God has given me a second chance and I want to serve him properly and not sin against my body anymore. Please help me.

You can do it, just keep asking God to deliver you and don't quit believing and asking until He does, anything is possible with God Matthew 19:26. Trust God alone to do it for you. Don't try to do it yourself. Fast too, God uses fasts, they work well.

It had seemed as though Colton was madly in love with the blonde girl on the show. I personally believe he loved that girl and only came out as gay because he was rejected and humiliated by her. So much fruit comes through this show. I can hear throughout Colton’s story an utter lack of relationship with God grounded in Christ. He speaks of his evangelical church as something he cares about, but not a relationship with God himself. That seems to be what’s missing. So he naturally seeks answers from people and not God.

No one is born gay, the choice is the person not God. Homosexuality is an abomination in God’s eyes. God helps to cleanse us from our sins. God loves the sinner and hates the sin and will help us not to sin, man can be very weak in the flesh so God’s help and asking for his forgiveness is daily. If someone says they never struggle with sin they are lying and are not of God.
Loving and praying for the lost is a given. But don't allow those who continue to justify themselves, to pull down the weak. I've seen it happen over and over. Especially in youth groups, and college age groups.
This is a tough topic for me personally. I'm friendly with a youtuber who's gay and I don't want them to go to hell but I feel I'll wound them alot if I tell them the truth. I feel stuck! And I really don't enjoy correcting people. It's a tough gig being a Christian!

It is your job to tell people the good news. "Good" news! You don't have to do the work of Jesus -- He is the Truth. Let Him tell them the truth. It is the Holy Spirit's job to correct people (and that includes you also) not your job. So let Him do His work. Let the life of Christ bubble up from inside you -- that wonderful River of Life. Not a river of judgement and condemnation. Let Jesus and the Holy Spirit do Their work of drawing your friend to the Father and the Lord will provide opportunities for you to share what He means to you and what He has done in your life. I am not saying I became perfect by a long shot, but I really became a new, and different person. The things I struggle with now are not the overt sins I used to love. What I struggle with now are much, much more sneaky (not loving and praying for my enemies, not being truthful at times, etc.).

I think too many of us in the church don't really believe in the power of God's grace to actually transform. That's why we don't know what to do with these issues in the church and end up compromising. The sin in my life is not as visible to the outside world as some sin and it becomes too easy to live the "good Christian life" without much power. A lot of us in the church are in that space I believe. In the last year as church from home has become more prevalent such complacency has increased because no longer is iron sharpening iron.

I’m a born again Christian and I relate to you Becket Cook in a lot of ways. I love you and I love your show so much! I was raised catholic and was so terrified of the way that they taught about God , I also went to a Jesuit school and experienced a lot of abuse. I always loved God but as I grew up I sought God in all the wrong places. I bought into the new age teachings and Hollywood dreams etc (I’m a stylist) I have totally committed my life to God and Jesus Christ. I read the Bible everyday. I have completely changed my life. I have been celebate, stopped drinking, drugs etc for over a year and I don’t miss it at all. I am really struggling with quitting smoking, I started smoking after being raped and it became a security blanket for me. I desperately want and need to quit. I feel like it’s the last sin I need to conquer, will you please pray for me. It’s really bothering me and I don’t want to sin anymore. I feel like God has given me a second chance and I want to serve him properly and not sin against my body anymore. Please help me.

You can do it, just keep asking God to deliver you and don't quit believing and asking until He does, anything is possible with God Matthew 19:26. Trust God alone to do it for you. Don't try to do it yourself. Fast too, God uses fasts, they work well.

It had seemed as though Colton was madly in love with the blonde girl on the show. I personally believe he loved that girl and only came out as gay because he was rejected and humiliated by her. So much fruit comes through this show. I can hear throughout Colton’s story an utter lack of relationship with God grounded in Christ. He speaks of his evangelical church as something he cares about, but not a relationship with God himself. That seems to be what’s missing. So he naturally seeks answers from people and not God.

The whole world is under this deception, even many Christians who aren't practicing homosexuality. Loving and praying for the lost is a given. But don't allow those who continue to justify themselves, to pull down the weak. I've seen it happen over and over. Especially in youth groups, and college age groups.
This is a tough topic for me personally. I'm friendly with a youtuber who's gay and I don't want them to go to hell but I feel I'll wound them alot if I tell them the truth. I feel stuck! And I really don't enjoy correcting people. It's a tough gig being a Christian!
Penny.....maybe it's a good thing you feel stuck! It's not up to you to tell people they're going to hell if they don't repent. It's not your job to go around correcting people! It is your job to tell people the good news. "Good" news! You don't have to do the work of Jesus -- He is the Truth. Let Him tell them the truth. It is the Holy Spirit's job to correct people (and that includes you also) not your job. So let Him do His work. Let the life of Christ bubble up from inside you -- that wonderful River of Life. Not a river of judgement and condemnation. Let Jesus and the Holy Spirit do Their work of drawing your friend to the Father and the Lord will provide opportunities for you to share what He means to you and what He has done in your life. May the Lord really bless you and your new friend in Christ.
