This and the last video have given me inspiration to do an umbrella stand/coat rack. But I want it to have LED glowing features. I do have some rainbow discs from IKEA that need to be utilized. 🤔
Awesome build, John! Great job on doing things on the fly. This is the first of the "cave" styled builds I've seen. My first time seeing acrylic incorporated like that in furniture design and I think it's freaking awesome. Would love to do a build like this one day and I hope that "cave" furniture will start trending more! That thing needs a freaking batman emblem on it!
That was amazing. The black color does lose a bit of the details in your carving though. I'd like to see another one that has a burnt look to it to match it. Awesome work. Inspirational.

As cool as it looks it's going to self destruct with seasonal movement. You have long end grain and edge grain panels glued together with no room for expansion.
Why did he cut the boards into tiny boards and then glue them back together the grain should have been strong enough either way? And also props to this guy for this insane good carving
For the arm and back joints could you have used some dowels made of the same wood to make the joints stronger? I think you said you were using screws, but wouldn’t dowels be better so you could carve them with the shape of the chair?

Hey john im working on my first resin project and I made the mistake of not getting enough epoxy and I already poured. Would I be able to pour the final layer over the existing layer after it cures?
Probably one of the coolest projects you've done the only thing I think I would have changed his I'm guessing you're going for charcoal look I would have put hint of red in it and maybe had red Leds in the base so that it lit up with a soft glow or are you going for the charko maybe a hint of white on the tips to show they were more ashy
