Cool concept idea for a video. Can you do this again but with TH-camrs that you don’t know. Or even better; have the name of the TH-camr revealed to you after you’ve already reviewed the product. This just sounds like biased reviews which aren’t useful at all because the whole point of a review is to be unbiased.

You have to pay extra for the lack of hooks which makes it completely useless in 80% of situations
And it's absolutely not something I would use for a bike. A hook doesn't fail and is far more versatile that a giant strap.
Even on the vortex handlebar straps or canyon dancers the loop to hook to literally is too small to feed that big ass strap through.

The creator of it says you don't need it, it doesn't do anything that a normal pencil doesn't. It's just a mechanical pencil that he thinks looks cool.
And looking cool is enough, truly. I've spend more on equally pointless things. I wouldn't buy it, because the pencilisn't something I'm interested in, but I don't see it as greed. Overkill and novelty, definitely.

his cited reason for having his bias was bc he knows most/all of the creators behind them personally. and if that can interfere with giving an unbiased review, i can applaud him for not attempting to give an unbiased review and not giving the impression he's trying to do so.

I have one. Its alright. I don't like that it's not a one handed opening, you can do it, but it's not easy and it's too easy to push the button and I've unlocked the blade while opening a couple times which feels not safe.
Also there isn't much grip on it,it's kinda smooth.

@Okurka. Iv never watched a Linus video that I can think of and I find it to be a fair point. It does do a lot more, the $80 pencil is just a pencil and does nothing a $3 pencil can't.
Both are way overpriced. $60 for a manual screwdriver that I can find for $15-$20 all day.

I think that whole bit was to make it clear the video is not really a normal review of products and that its purely for fun. Basically say up front this is all going to be biased and then no one can get mad and claim you are being biased when you end up actually thinking it a good product. Not that we should ever take their product testing or reviews seriously around here or let it influence our purchases lol

I also have Linus's screwdriver and I have to admit, it's really nice. They also made it where you turn the ratchet collar in the direction you want to turn the screwdriver for use. It's the opposite of how all other screwdrivers are set up and I love it.
I have the retro one. Best. Purchase. Ever. (Right next to my dyson) but it’s so handy. I love it!

Why buy the knife at the beginning of the video for $15, when you can get a 3 pack husky brand at Home Depot for $20?
Personally, I usually spend a little more so I’m not replacing them as often. But I know eventually the $15 will need replaced. I have the fastback, I’ve not heard of the one he’s showing here.

The Klein 32305HD ratcheting screwdriver is the king for trades screwdrivers. Not only does it carry more options (15 in 1) as opposed to 12, all the bits are also impact rated and capable. Best screwdriver I've ever owned.
You're just lying to your viewers now. I gave up on this video at 4:45 where you said it doesnt have as much play in the blade. Yet when you wiggled the one you were reviewing it quite clearly did have the same amount of play so you just kind of wiggled it differently and less obvious to the camera. I want one of these videos reviewing the Bourbon Blade by Bourbon Moth Woodworking, it's the only one I've seen that's actually unique and looks legitimately beefy.
The JRE knife is included in many cheap drill bit boxes and while I'm sure it's higher quality than those you don't need high quality if they're all free and last long enough.
Only the LTT screwdriver brings something to the table because the things they improved make it much better to use, rather than just beefier.
I would love to see the Bourbon Blade too. On the fence on getting one.
One of my favorite things about the LTT scewdriver is that when you turn the selector right or left, the driver spins in that direction! Its not opposite like every other driver.

When you fill a butane lighter. You are supposed to shake the fluid, fill with the lighter upside down and then stand the lighter 5 min on flat surface before use. And every other fill up. Purge the air from the lighter and set to low before refilling

I will say as a tech guy that has the LTT screwdriver I use it constantly to rack/unrack equipment in and out of data center racks. But I assume MOST people don't do that too frequently :P

FYI you should never tow anything from a ball hitch, if you are using a tow rope, please do not tow with a chain. If the ball breaks off it can cause massive damage to anyone/anything that gets hit.

@@jeffolson9547 Towing a trailer versus using a rope is 2 different things. I should have clarified that when making my initial comment. Tow ropes you should use D-rings or tow hooks but not a ball.
I don't see anyone ever beating Pica without going much cheaper. Sure they're not the best pencils out there, but they're affordable, refillable, include a sharpener, they're strong enough to withstand a couple years of daily use, they've built a brand specifically for dry markers for all materials and sizes/usecases.. You have to add a LOT of value at the same price point to beat that.
If you don’t need blade storage on your knife, you’re not using it for work lol.
Also. How are you not going to test the screwdriver bits? They could be made out of junk and break off in a drywall screw lol

I have a lot of these tools. There's three LTT screwdrivers in my toolbox for work as an HVAC contractor. The neon yellow version was a limited run but you will not lose it.
And that mini-saber is the most fun lighter of all time.
Why are so many people whining in the comments. John was clear he just wanted to do a video of some TH-camr tools. He didn't tell you to buy them, maybe John thought people were smart enough to make their own choices. I learned about a few things that i want aware of here. Y'all need to calm down.
I have the full black LTT screwdriver and I love it for basic applications like working on electronics or other light work.
You can get a high quality tool from a big name with same functions and features for 1/3 of that price..Why?
What I actually like about this channel is the editors. They never fail to add in a meme at the perfect time lightly roasting John for the dumb things he says from time to time! Obviously John allows them to stay in the videos so at least we know he can take a good ribbing.
Love my LTT screwdriver. Only thing is that dropping it when closed can still break off the bit holder clips. Known issue.

The fact that the husky and the Jerry knife were the same and over time would have the exact same issues but Jerry’s knife gets the win is crazy. Personally the fast back is the best just for ease of use.

My only problem with the LTT screwdrivers is that the grip is extremely slippery and it tends to fall out of my hands a lot. I addec some grip tape to my handle to prevent this. so 4 out of 5 for me.

I use my LTT screwdriver daily for about a year working in aerospace machining. Couldn’t be happier with it
the big problem for most of these products is how much more they are than other competing products doing the same job. The marking knife at $99.99 is outrageous, i mean its clearly high quialty but does it do more than a regular $10 marking knife from teh hardware store? nope, it does the same thing. Same with the LTT screwdriver which looks pretty awesome in its functionality and storage but i have a $20 named brand one that does the same thing, not quite as nice ratchet but for $50 less plus postage I'm not that bothrered. JRE knife looks great but does the sefl same thing as the cheaper ones at $5 or less. This one is the easiest to pick up though as its only a few bucks more and will probably last well. The light sabre is just a big jet lighter which costs less than $20 on amazon. The ratchet strap is fine as a strap, nothing specail there, the tow rope looks beafy but $260 is a lot if you arent using it for a living. So they are all fine and look like high quality but all quite expensive for what they are
Ya that kinda happens when you are manufacturing significantly less than business with the sole purpose of making tools. It's more about supporting the creator than about getting a good deal.

You definitely buy these products to support them and have some merch, the downside of the LTT screwdriver really is the shipping price, the actual price of the product isn't too bad given the quality. (and sure you can buy cheaper ones that does the end goal the same, but the way to said goal is better, it's like saying cars are bad because I can just go cycle everywhere, sure I'll get there at some point but it'll be slower, takes energy, and weather will have a big impact)
Then there's the whole big manufacturing / China mass produced quality., warranty etc that sometimes can be an issue with the really cheap stuff.
That said: I prefer it when they're products they actually had a say in (like the LTT screwdriver), rather than rebranding an already existing thing and jacking up the price...
The saber definitely seems like a big gimmick, something you show your friends once and then rarely (if ever) use as an actual lighter.
But man this video is one big shill video, nothing much of a review, but giving stars for the most basic things...
This is a well put together comment... I see exactly what you're saying. I'm a mechanic and I swear by snap-on. But I buy a Snap-On because they offer a credit plan and lifetime warranties. At the end of the day they all do the same thing... We all have our own reasons and opinions that fits our individual self best.

As a folding utility knife connoisseur (working in a warehouse for 4 years and being a buyer for supplies in three warehouses and having input from all warehouse locations), the Stanley folding knife is the best all arounder. It's also fairly cheap (used to be way cheaper). But it's one handed operation, thin, and secure enough. Ive also dropped plenty of them from heights of over 20ft and they worked fine afterwards. I've also abused them plenty other ways too. The one complaint I've gotten is a fear of the blade coming out when being used but personally, I've had push button blade change knives come out on me a few times and only once had I had a stanley slide lock blade come out on me and I've used these knives vastly more than anything else.
