Not much have done it for 15 years @ 25hr. 6 hr to 12 hr days, and then winter hits and you might work two days a week. Only way you make money is working on weekends to try and save money for winter. Not worth it unless you own the business. O and people don’t care what you do nowadays how hard you work

Get yourself some rubber boots and a come along instead of a normal rake.
I pour a lot of mud n I was thinking the same thing, the leather boots just don't cut it and you move a lot more mud with a concrete rake.
Maybe one of these days I'll come across a concrete video that shows how to pull the wire up.

I never minded doing hard labor in hot/duty conditions here in Az. but concrete guy are jut plain nuts. That is hard work on another level.
I can't go over how good of shape your dad is in at his age! I can only dream of those days in my past and I'm only 62.....

I just retired from concrete work after 40 + years. I was making an average of $500 a day
Not bad for a guy who was lucky to graduate high school
