I found your channel, bought a new machine and have been following you ever since. I absolutely love all your videos and finally took the plunge to make a quilt and chose this one using Tilda fabrics with a white blender and adding in a couple of borders (your video on borders, quilting and binding I've watched many times!). Your videos are so easy to follow and I love all the hints and tips. Thank you for inspiring me these past few years.

I love how bright this is :) Our daughter is on holiday and skyped us from the US today to show us her boyfriend proposed to her during the fireworks show at their visit to Disney today (Saturday in Australia, Friday evening there) So my mind is now going gaga with ideas of colours to make a memory quilt for their cinema room when they get back from their holiday. You're really an excellent teacher Donna. I'm Egyptian and quilting is not common in Egypt. I fell in love with this hobby and your videos are my favorites especially that you teach us how to do it using simple techniques and with basic tools. Giving the fact that we don't have quilting shops here, I have no access to all those different tools. I had to ask a friend to bring me what I needed to start with . Ordering online is a bit out of budget due to taxes and shipping. Thank you so much for making this doable for me. 🌷

This is such a pretty quilt. I love the monochromatic palette of the oranges and yellows. I've watched this video more than once, and ended up craving orange juice each time.
I love it! And the colors. I love yellow and you did this bright yellow a bonus with the other colors. I should just tell you what I want to make and have you color pick my fabric for me!

9:3110:50 I have watched this video probably 20 times, I am going to time stamp this to be able to get to where I need to be in the video. I am putting butterflies in the middle of the “diamond” and a Dresden or maybe windmill in the middle that’s strips as it will only be four blocks for the whole baby quilt. This is my new granddaughter’s first quilt, I think it will be awesome! I have frequent migraines so my sewing time is precious because it’s so limited. Thank you so very much for your videos. I really think they are what has kept me going on this. Instead of the frustration of having to sew things wrong after a long time without sewing this is an instant way to refresh what you are doing, and you can do it without a seam ripper. And for me who is adding to or altering the pattern, well having your visuals and tips along with the actual pattern are super! Patterns are a must, and for me with long sewing droughts the video is too. That’s what creates UFO’s, frustration!
LOL! I actually squealed when I saw this pattern. Beautiful, happy, and looks like a truly fun project. Now to decide on which fat quarter bundle to use... More fun!

I do have one request though. I would very much love for you to do a tutorial on adding borders and how you go about it. I have been quilting for a little over a year and they are my biggest problem. Never mind about the borders tutorial, I found one you had already done for the Irish Rebel quilt.. I do have a question though. Did you sew first border down then across then up and across again? In other words was it continuous around, not two sides then two tops? Thanks ❤️
@@brendamerrill1518 You sew first the top border, then the bottom border. Then you sew the left one and lastly the right one. Maybe not exactly in that order, but sew one, then the opposite side, etc. Hope that makes sense. Good luck and happy quilting.
