I was at this game as an osu fan. Craziest crowd atmosphere I think I will ever experience. The fans were expecting to get their ass kicked going in (literally telling us so) and by the end you couldn’t hear yourself think. Beaver stadium is insane
A bit of extra context was that the last time PSU hosted OSU, in 2014, PSU lost in overtime after referees upheld an incomplete interception (the replay tech failed and they weren’t allowed to look at the scoreboard showing an obvious drop) and a field goal after the play clock hit 0 for multiple seconds. OSU already had a loss and would likely have not made the playoff or won a national championship without those reffing mistakes at Penn State. One of the top moments in my life was standing and cheering as the stadium shook around me. Iconic moment in college sports.
I find it kind of remarkable that I have a flashbulb memory of every OSU loss since 2014. This one was pretty rough but the 2015 loss vs MSU stung the most for me. So cold… so wet…

I was a PSU student at the time, and in the student section with my roommates and friends. It was cold and wet and miserable, if they made that field goal, the last 5 minutes would have been depressing and uncomfortable, but instead it turned into one of the best memories of my entire life. Rushing the field after something like that is an absolutely special moment.
Only correction: Paterno did report what he knew. Sandusky is a monster and Spanier and Schultz will get what they deserve, but the only reason people mention Paterno and not the others (like this video, actually) is because Paterno was the face of the program and garners attention.
He did "his minimum legal duty" at the time by reporting it to his direct superior. He failed to involve law enforcement or follow-up with his supervisor when it became clear they had not contacted law enforcement. It's a serious failure of leadership at best.
This game doesn't get much love because it doesn't deserve any. Penn State won this game and eventually the Big 10 but that wasn't enough to earn a playoff spot. The playoff committee viewed this as a quality loss for Ohio State and it earned them a playoff spot.
Franklin after this game saying "the healing can begin" is why I will never root for PSU to win anything while he is there. On, and way to completely undersell what all OSU players were getting away with for "tattoogate." Let's just completely ignore the drugs and money involved.
After Sandusky, PSU should never have been allowed to have a football program again imo, but instead, they didn't even have to finish out their ban. I always hope PSU lose every game they play. Not only did Paterno know what was going on, but he KEPT Sandusky on the staff for years, and let him set up programs for kids, and cultivate a place for his demonic activity. Despicable is the word that comes to mind, but really there are no words to describe it
Not even close to being up there with the "Kick Six". That play was a walk off TD in one of the top 2 or 3 rivalries in college football, with an SEC championship game bid on the line, and in turn a National Championship game appearance on the line. Not to mention that 'Bama was ranked No.1, and had won 2 titles in a row
I'm fine with college players earning money off of their likeness/autographs. That said, the fact that the tattoo parlor was already under investigation for drug trafficking might be a reason there used to be rules against it. Now, I'm not saying they traded merch for drugs in addition to tattoos, but those are two "services" that the tattoo parlor offered, so...
This was James Franklin's first top 5 win. He is currently 1-18 against top 5 ranked opponents.
Good ol' Frames Janklin!
So first and only

I remember being at a party when this happened and nearly breaking through the floorboards from everyone jumping and freaking out all at once.
BREAKING: Ohio lawmaker introduces bill to make all forms of media highlighting previous losses for in-state colleges a felony
Always love that referee getting to the endzone and diving in
This took place the same night AND same time the Cubs reached the World Series, ending the Billy Goat curse

I love sheer contempt for the NCAA drips from your voice
This play saved Penn State football but also broke it 😭
I was in row 5 - my ears are still ringing 8 years later
Very fine presentation ! Concise and thorough, especially dealing with subject matter still sensitive and controversial for many.
I find it kind of remarkable that I have a flashbulb memory of every OSU loss since 2014. This one was pretty rough but the 2015 loss vs MSU stung the most for me. So cold… so wet…
I get that was the defining play but I still see four minutes left in a score game cmon Secret Base don’t make us google the rest
PSU defensive stand, ends with a sack. Refs definitely missed some pass interference (and I’m saying that as a Penn State fan).
The best Penn State moment in the last 10 years and I cherish every second of it
I wasn’t a big football guy until the morning after this game. Everyone came up to me telling me congratulations and I was like huh what do you mean

Kansas vs. Memphis. 2008 National Championship. Mario's Miracle deserves a Deep Rewind.
Yes it does
Give it a few weeks, both teams will be going dancing then
Greatest moment of my Penn State student experience

Biggest Penn State win of all time 😶🌫️
PENN STATE REWINDER FINALLY
Did you say "Tyler Durden?"... we're not supposed to be talking about this!!!!! You, my friend, are breaking the first rule.
Will never say no to watching a Secret Base Video ❤❤❤
Any video that dunks on OSU earns my seal of approval. Urban Meyer is an effing traitor that I will never forgive for the rest of my life.
What did he do?
@RealMoosterchef He abandoned UF for "health reasons" only to come back to coaching 2 years later at my most despised college football team.
You act like he did it to personally attack you lol
@@deionfrancis6715 As someone that grew up a Gator fan, it felt wrong to see him go coach there.
Newsflash - you don't own the people who work for Florida. He's a grown man and can do as he pleases. Maybe you should grow up.
The “Ringo Six” needs a deep rewind (Kelee Ringo and UGA conquer Alabama [2021] and win the university’s first national title in 41 years).
Only correction: Paterno did report what he knew.

A playoff where they got their asses handed to them.
Secret Base is talking about Penn State! Yeah!
Absolutely insane game
Hey nice new TV set up! I dig it
we're bout to find out, over the next 4 years, why there needs to be rules
I'm new-ish to college football, but I'm still surprised I've never heard of that Penn State scandal.
Man Clemson 2016 championship needs a rewind
YES YES YES THANK YOU JESUS
You don't have to apologize to the buckeyes lol
Maybe one day we’ll win another big game. Maybe
You telling me on Patreon there are rewinders that haven’t been uploaded?
But what made Donovan McNabb finish his career Untitled?
This is one of the better episodes you've done in a while. You should do an episode on the 1996 Olympics, Women's Gymnastics Team Finals.
I don't have strong feelings about penn state but it is so sweet to see ohio lose
This was on my birthday and I’m and OSU fan 😭
Anyone wanting to watch more collaspe videos?
My favorite game that ive ever seen live.😊
WE WANT JON WE WANT JON WE WANT JON BOIS

Careful SB, the state of ohio might take legal action for this😊
Right up there with Auburn's "Kick Six" against Alabama. Poor Ohio State. Losing to your arch-nemesis four years in row and now this reminder.😂

Penn State should still be banned for what Paterno and company did

Eli Apple 😂🤢🤮
I had to give it a thumbs down. Decent video, but when you mention Urban Meyer, you must include that he covered up domestic violence.
Purdue upsetting Ohio State for Tyler Trent back in 2018, now that deserves a rewind.
Don't apologize to Brohio State; they deserve nothing.
Tattoogate was bad, because back then, college football was strictly for amateurs.
Tell us how you really feel about rules existing
I welcome all videos where Ohio State loses in dramatic fashion 〽️
Tragic that something good happened for their predator defender fans
Free tattoos vs the diddler & the enabler
first😝
Not first and I don’t care.
what’s to be sorry for? 8-0 since 🤿
lol
