While I knew a lot about Edgar Allan Poe's short stories such as "The Tell-Tale Heart" going into this video (which was actually one of the stories that got me into short story writing) I did not know too much about his poetry or his life story.
Unlike a lot of the alcoholic authors in this series, Edgar Allan Poe's death is a dark mystery much like his writing. While it's truly tragic, the death of Edgar Allan Poe is also poetic in a sense.
