ehh I was expecting somthing bigger. beautiful tank lovley drift wood and the plant work is amazing I am stunned this has to be the best aquarium ive seen on the internet and I spend my whole day staring at fish whats in that tank?
Mostly huge tank hot a drain pipe and water pipe installed, just turn on the drain pipe and wait, then turn on the water (new water) pipe . The only problem in to wipe the inner wall of the tank.
@bobami36 i dont think so. this guy isnt some lfs guy who will do anything to sell you anything. he's takashi amano, the one who pioneered the aqua garden hobby. he makes a shitload of money selling his books and probably tickets to his aquagarden museum. unless you're some kind of MULTImillionaire. your best bet is to go to your lfs and pay thousands of dollars for a decent size tank. try adana-usa dot company. good luck!
amazing work guys, real beauty. A little over crwoded with plants to my taste but I guess he likes it that way. Why isn't there at least a stills photo of the tank active? with fish? some technical info would also be aprisiated. And also - you dont need to appologize for your english it is OK, my spelling on the other hand - thats bad english
Overcrowded with plants? In what world? His tanks are basically perfect replicas of bodies of water out in nature,which ARE chock-full of plants. If you don't like greenery/nature, Amano tanks aren't for you, but I love them and think they're gorgeous.
not always the case, most freshwater fish wont grow bigger then 3 to 4 ft except for a few exceptions. and most fish will do good in a 500gallon tank witch isnt anywhere near the size you suggested

I love Japanese culture. Total dedication and mastery of their crafts. The best thing about it is that the rest of the country/community respects the work. Over here, if you have a hobby like this you get weird looks and people think you are a loser.
This was actually the living room in Takashi Amano's home in Japan. His home was not far from the Fukushima nuclear reactor accident. Takashi passed away on August 4Th 2015 from cancer. I wonder if he contracted cancer as the result of the Fukushima nuclear fall out? He was an extremely talented man whose gifts to the aquarium hobby are unparalleled. May he rest in peace..
man you're a genius, this project was great. my dream to have an aquarium in my room that does not even have television. sensational.
I have a 22 gallon ADA and love it, have some more work to do, but this is amazing.
that is the most bad ass aquarium i have ever seen, ever.....i love it.

@TheSickdrift they got the area and design of the wild, yet they dont got the wild predators and they have free food so it might just be heaven.

I like how parts of that drift wood were sticking out of the top, that would make a great place for surface dwelling water plants.

if you will put bigger fish your aquarium may seen small. for bigger fish you need a huge ponds

The tank is probably no bigger than 120 litres, it's just that the japanese are so damn small.

Considering how extremely low level the radiation was it's very unlikely his cancer had anything to do with Fukushima.
