Curborough Figure 8 Sprint October 2023 dry then wet. Triumph TR3a 1959

This was a crucial event for me and the ‪@theunknownworrier‬ in his racing triumph Dolomite Sprint as it could decide the final top 3 of the championship (the champion having already been decided). With me currently in 4th overall and ‪@theunknownworrier‬ 2nd going into this round, he is a great driver and a good mate, it will be a real challenge for us both.
The day started slow with it taking ages to wait in the car for your run but at least dry. 2nd practice was looking promising as I got within 0.68sec of my PB.
Then the heavens opened in biblical style turning what should have been a great racing day into a war of attrition and grip. Watch the water on the bonnet end up in my lap as i accelerate at the start- quite off putting - that my excuse anyway !!
