Man that thing pulls up short! Awesome brakes on the beast to go with a fantastic sound! The runs always get my heart beating fast as I try to anticipate the braking, gear changes and turn-in. That OD not being limited to just 3rd and 4th certainly helps a lot just to stretch her legs a touch when needed. Going to have to look up how to take that limitation off when I get the 2500S back on the road! ...and don't worry mate - you already had the class record and STILL put in a 66 after the fluff with the brakes on that corner, so I'd still be happy with the overall result. And the Ferrari? Huh! He'll be more worried about making a mistake and scratching the paintwork! I remember one of the previous outings at that track where it was rather damp and at least one expensive vehicle went off....but the TR3A still did some great times.

The record came with the smooth driving, but shows how easy it is to loose fractions when trying to push limits.

Ah the sweetest man made sound hits my screen again. Loton fairly local to me so will have to get over hopefully see the TR3 (and yourself of course ) in person. Ferrari owners may have been there ( think I saw a 348 a 308 and 355? Amongst the modern ones) but that singing 4 pot Infront of you takes some beating 👍..

Trying out the different gears made a big difference to your last timed run. Very smooth driving, throttle and gear changing. Nice one

Mate! Your confidence level between this run and the ones of last year even (let alone two years ago) has come on in spades! Great to see your progress (and not meaning to sound condescending in the slightest there - I'm absolutely rapt for ya!) Me? I reckon I'd have abandoned the run when she was really wet and just had some fun drifting and hanging it out through corners while waiting for the rain to clear....although if the time for the win was an aggregate, then I can see why you didn't....and I would have been the same. The little car sounds epic as usual. although that miss was a bit frustrating I bet. Love the sound of that wee engine! I brought my Stag down on a hundred mile trip to see my mother for her birthday and had an absolute ball on the winding hills that make up half the journey, but my pace was nothing like yours and I got a kick out of seeing the TR hurtling around similarly flat or negatively cambered corners much quicker than I could get the Stag to do. Looking forward to the next one! All the best.

Nice use of that 6sp transmission 😉🙂 Allways love the variety of machinery at hill climbs and the regs that allow just the right amount of modifications for true classic cars without them becoming 100k+ thinly disguised racers. For that we have mod sport or even sports libra for the truly mad or Nick Mann😂😂😂 Legend

That transporter at the end. At 40mph of course it's safe. You wouldn't in those days get vosa visiting a paddock area to check the weight capacity of a tail lift. Simpler better days.

Most of the competitors were youngsters back then, but then the cars were the equivalent of eighties and nineties cars today. Loved it, thankyou.

Hi Hamish just bought a TR3A Rally Car,it has been used extensively in Targa Tasmania. I am going to hillclimb it may I ask what diff ratio you use. Cheers Peter Molesworth

Wonderful! The Esses were always a scary for me in my Imp..Never was there a time when it was dry there either..Hence some 45 secs run in the 1070 cc Imp in road going modified.

This is a wonderful roadster-ride through the English countryside. I have my TR3 in pieces restoring it, have not been on a Blue-ridge Parkway drive in many years, this virtual ride along reminds me of those past drives. Now looking forward to completing the restoration to enjoy a drive like this again. Loved it! Thanks!
