Wiring the light bar on a 2007 Chevy Impala (2 of 2)

I wire the light bar I installed in the last episode. In the end I decided to create an adapter that interrupts the fog lights and sends that signal to the light bar relay. (Fog lights still get power)

Did the same thing to my 08 last month. Best light mod yet. After this and a full led headlight conversion I quite literally blind myself on some road signs.

Couldnt I just splice it onto the high beams and call it a day? Why do you need a relay?

How much does this help with nighttime driving? Is it worth doing?

Alex Hulinsky It was an absolute night and day difference, literally. The main thing it helped with was everything not directly in front. All the trees and branches off the road became actually visible. Only issue is other drivers because it is so non-directional. Actually made my dirt road night driving much more safe.
