I think most casual people looking at motorsport don’t realise just what goes into getting that team and car to each circuit, this is a brilliant insight Dan! Thanks for the tour!
This was great. Thank you. I appreciate you bringing us into the real world of GT racing. Every sim racing enthusiast loves the reality of GT racing and nobody does quite what you do and transition us to and from sim to reality. Love how you take us through the entire spectrum from sim to real racing, and the lifestyle that gaps the two. Nobody I cheer for more than you thanks to all that you do. MORAD GO VROOM!!! :)
this is way nicer than i expected. When i go to the track i feel pretty baller in my 10x10 ezup, my foldout table and a folding chair lol. That trailer is awesome. I love sim racing and real life racing so appreciate the inside info.
Ive been building these motorsport trailers/racetrailers for almost 15yrs. Great setup and very nice to see it in action. 😊 looks very professional and clean!
Yo mate, could you pls make a video about how you got yourself into the Mercedes Factory team, and how did you approach sponsors in your junior career. Also if possible, how do contracts negotiations work for a factory driver. Much love mate
That’s a great topic. Everybody’s story is a bit different but I’d say that a great place to understand a bit of my story and path would be to search for Gary Klutt’s podcast he did with me on TH-cam or Spotify. There are two. It’s the first one that speaks about the path.
Fantastic video. U are showing things that normal people don't have access to. Love your video and crave for more. Good job, and good luck in your upcoming race.
Awesome video Daniel. As you mentioned, we don’t get to see this stuff normally. It is a cool niche you are filling for us. Cheers and good luck the remainder of the season and especially on becoming a Dad!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! The last time I was at CTMP in 2023, I was fortunate enough to be given a chance to drive your motion sim which was a blast!
Great tour!! Interesting how the trailers convert to a facility. It’s like a transformer. lol! Very cool of the different parts. I liked the tyre area and the spare parts section. It would be cool if you could put a sim rig in there! Thanks for sharing!
I always wondered how having such a high centre with the cars being up top that the trailers were still stable on the roads. Now I can see that the cars being above is a fraction of the weight that's below.
These trailer's "home base" is about 5 minutes from me. I've seen them parked at the shop many times, so getting the tour was pretty cool. I drove by there a couple weeks ago and they were gone, so I knew it must be a race week (it was VIR) 😅🏎🏁
Hey Dan, I found your channel today and subscribed! The vlog is great and thorough. I love to know about the tires and the regulations on when to use which types. Thank again , Behzad
@@danielmorad I’d be your barista in a flash mate. If you ever come to Australia let me know mate, I work for free. Would love to help out, and learn some skills
How do the two cars get to the top? Can't quite wrap my head around this double decker trailer thing. Thanks for sharing, super cool to see behind the scenes stuff.
Race cars are low so there’s just enough room to roll it under the roof of the trailer. There’s a lift on the back that can lift cars and equipment up.
So what do you live out of ? I don’t know if you’re familiar with dirt late model racing. Our trailer setup is almost identical but we use a toterhome to pull it with since all the guys usually follow the same tour. on the back door of the trailer we can actually swap engines and do pretty in depth repairs. One advantage to road racing is that it’s a lot cleaner
Hey sir! So I am actually really serious on getting into GT3-GT4 racing at a young age right now I am in high school, do you know what the best way to get into these kinds of things are? How are the costs like training and doing races with these teams and when is the earliest you can get into this?
You still didn't explain your pre-race thoughts and practices... how do you get in the zone? Do you listen to music? What's your mindset?? I meant to ask you at VIR but I forgot lol
Literally no pregame thoughts. I just put my helmet on and then I zone in. No music. Just lock in when the helmet goes on and I’m ready to go. It’s pretty simple.
Out of curiosity…what does one need to do to work as an engineer for a racing team? I’ve got my bachelors in Aerospace Engineering and have been a NASA engineer for 8 years, but I’d consider leaving if I could be an engineer for a racing team…

lol. I know what you’re trying to say, but I believe you had a little typo my friend. Also, am I really that awkward? lol. I’m exactly the same in real life. I actually thought you were cool 😂
Thanks for the tour Dan. A vlog of a race weekend would be cool with qualifying and the race with everything in-between.
That can be arranged :)

I agree. And happy to bring you along for the experience.

Great video. Thanks for showing us around! I love to see this kind of stuff.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks Daniel! So nice of you to take us behind the scenes. I love GT racing. We could have it in Canada.

That’s awesome. And thanks a lot
Really cool to see the inside world of racing. IMSA is one of my favorites to watch.
Awesome stuff Daniel. We all love the behind the scenes stuff from a race team.
Great tour! Thanks for all the little details from gt4 vs gt3 and rain tire details. Amazing how the trailers open up.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the tour Dan! Another banger video 🤘
Very cool, thanks for sharing Dan! Love the behind the scenes footage

Thanks for the tour Daniel! You're my coach, mentor, and instructor!
Nice!! Thanks!🙏
The livery I use in iRacing. Always fun watching you race IRL or on twitch.
Thanks for the tour! Always great and fascinating to see behind the scenes.

Great presentation and an amazing spokesman for Winward and Mercedes Racing.
Awww yeah! I always look forward to your videos! Also, Moradness Coffee line when?
Love getting insight on how thing are from a team/driver perspective. Good stuff!
It’s really cool to see behind-the-scenes. Not many people show this stuff.
That's very impressive all that stuff just fit in 2 hauler!.Racecar,spare parts,hospitality stuff,foods . . .

Thanks for showing us behind the scenes. Really fascinating insight. Thank you so much for sharing this. Would love to see more like this.

Always very interesting. Thank you!
That debrief room is really cozy

That’s cool! How’d you like that rig?
This is awesome. Thanks so much for the tour! Seeing the engineering room was pretty cool :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for the tour! Fascinating to see what it takes to run a team. Oh, I'll have a Short Macchiato thanks.
Coming right up!!! 😂
Awesome video. I wish Winward sold that shirt you're wearing in this video
Maybe we can make it happen.
yes!
This was great. Thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Excellent insight into everything that makes up a race day. 🎉
Thanks a lot
Excellent walk though of the setup! Been dying to go to an IMSA race just to see all of the fancy setups (oh and watch some racing too)
You need to make it out to one. It’s amazing
Thanks Daniel! Looking forward to seeing you at Indy next month.
Unfortunately won’t be there. I’ll be in Monza but maybe Indy 8h… let’s see
Awesome as always!
Thank you so much
The coffee machine is the best ❤
Best coffee haha

I always wondered how having such a high centre with the cars being up top that the trailers were still stable on the roads.

Absolutely. There’s so much weight in there. The cars are a fraction of the total weight.
8:13, thats where fights happen...
Just wow, thanks for the tour
Glad you enjoyed it. My pleasure.
Just an awsome set up. Thanks for letting us get a real look into it. I am determined to hit 24hours of Daytona next year. 😊
You need to. It’s a great event.
Very interesting episode, thanks👍🏻
Glad you enjoyed it
Much appreciated Daniel

That’s epic. Yeah they’re always out. We’re currently at Indianapolis doing some testing haha.
Great stuff!👏👏👏
Thanks!
Having tasted your espresso, the skills are there! Daniel Morad barista extraordinaire! Looking to sample some more @ Road Atlanta.
It’ll be ready for Atlanta
Thanks for sharing this man. Really cool to see more details behind the scenes

Great video, thx
Glad you liked it!

Thanks a lot. Welcome to the channel. I can definitely build a video in the future. That explains a lot of the different rules in the series I run in.
This is awesome, thanks for the tour!
No problem at all
Love it thanks for the tour
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for giving us these cool insights! 👌
Glad you like them!
I'm not sure why, but the interior of the secondary trailer looked so cool. Slowly working myself up so I can be in one of those one day
It’s bare bones but super important to bring all the big equipment around.
Thanks for sharing. Very cool!
Thanks for watching!
Very cool❤
Thank you!
Amazing stuff!!!
Thanks!
Thank you for the tour!
Any time!
I’ve been waiting for this video

Best part would definitely be the coffee machine mate. I’d be there making shots of espressos all day.

My house haha. But we also have hotels for the team. And for 24h races, drivers get a motor home
Favorite part was the snacks you guys got to get seltzer and coke in the fridge
Topo Chico is the best!
Thanks
My pleasure
Pretty crazy to see what everything fits in two trailers 😮😅😮😅
It’s all packed to perfection as well
5 million dollars is probably a rough estimate
Thank you for sharing. Us plebs would never have access to this. Next we need to see some barista skills 😂
Challenge accepted
Dan do you think when I come to Petit Le Mans, could I get a in person tour if you are there?
Hello Daniel. What do you think about VR, and triples?
yo i found your channel on my own but my friends brother is tony ditto and i just wanted to say hi cuz he sometimes talks about how good you are lol
That’s amazing! Is it Billy? Say hello

Holy shit! No wonder it’s a sport for rich people god damn everything looks so expensive
Hey Daniel! Will you be at Barber Motorsports Park this year?
Unfortunately not
Winward race kit when? Aka the shirt you were wearing 👍
I will speak with the team and see what we can do. It would actually be very cool to launch some Winward merch.
On this car and tire combo what's a normal operating tire temp window?
Normal is around 60-80 but sometimes it gets hot!! Like over 100
Your awnings are a lot bigger than NHRA awnings.

How different does the team and set up feel compared to over in Europe? I assume the European side still feels more like HTP Motorsports.
Very different. Completely different feeling and also, the layout of everything is substantially different.

my favorite part of the video was when it ended
Glad to know that you made it to the end. Jokes on you sucker haha
Flashers never work on track 😂
Haha they don’t. You’re right
One day.
i know it's weird but..... which watch is that? 😀
Haha not weird at all. It’s a Rolex Submariner with an aftermarket rubber band.
@@danielmorad looks soooo good 🙂
Well, I know what I'm spending my lottery winnings on.
