    why is nobody talking about the coding blocks differences between the 2? we use the "degrees" and both wheels speed differentials block in the extra movement blocks for a while now. Suddenly there isn't this block anymore and it's so frustrating.

      I agree. It seems some blocks have disappeared forever. Perhaps they will reappear in new updates.

      Good to know! I was wondering how long it would take until my video was out of date!

    Hi! Thank you for this video. Why do you think Lego took out Python on Spike 3? Does Spike 3 running on block code run faster than Spike 2 running on Python?

      I think they will end up adding Python to Spike 3 eventually, but there must be a few hurdles to jump. I am not sure about your second question, but the block code on Spike 3 is very, very fast to download and run. I don't use python because I spend most of my time running 90-minute workshops in schools, and Python is a bit tricky for kids to get their head around in 90 minutes!

    Biggest catch for me is, that in Spike 3 I can't access the programs which are stored in the hub.

    • @robot_man
      @robot_man  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep it removes all the previous programs you have created. If you still have the old app sitting on your desktop you can still open it and see any old programs you have made, but you cannot run them on the newly updated hub.

    Unfortunately I updated my hub, and now I can't get it back to normal, the update is very bad, do you have any tips for me to get it back to normal? I have a Championship and unfortunately it is in this condition

      There is a way to reverse the procedure.
      You need to connect your hub to a computer with the USB cable and use CHROME as your browser.
      I made a video to show you how to downgrade back to Legacy: th-cam.com/video/PG-IaID-xiU/w-d-xo.html

    with the legacy version, I used to connect my hub to the lego mindstorms 51515 app and was able to use a controller. With the updated version, I cant connect the hub to the mindstorms app and therfore cannot control with a remote control. do you have any idea\solution how to get around this issue?

    • @robot_man
      @robot_man  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Nope. I believe the Mind Storms Inventor is being phased out and possibly no longer supported. As a temporary fix, you could downgrade your hub back to Legacy. Not sure how long you will be able to do this for, though, but it might be worth a shot if you are desperate. th-cam.com/video/PG-IaID-xiU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=P8YGpU1QbdX5RtTW

      thanks for the advice! I downgraded and now it works. its really a shame they are phasing it out tho, as a teacher using a controller creates engaging and fun activities for the students. Really hope they bring it back somehow@@robot_man

    What is the best?

      I installed Spike 3 on all my 10 hubs. I like it because it connects super fast and loads quickly. Some of my devices freeze and play up if the play button is tapped multiple times, quickly. I am glad I changed to Spike 3 but there are definitely still bugs..
