Even tough it spoil some mechanics that are fun to discover by you self, I think these series will help people to play, as perisno is a rough world for starters.
Perisno is finally WSE2 compatible with the latest 1.4.x version on their Discord and it’s amazing. Couldn’t go an hour without a crash previously, had battle size around 180. Now Perisno+WSE2 never crashes and I can play up to 500 battle size, though it gets a little choppy over 400.
I always play as a giant. You may be slow as a snail at the start but you sure pack a wallop. Give hamlets hammer to Thrak and he becomes an unstoppable wrecking ball.
I'm doing a giant playthrough, and boy is it rough. Not only are you an arrow magnet, but when I try to aim a bow, thrown weapon, or crossbow I can't actually see what I'm aiming at because my armor gets in the way. At some angles, switching to first person mode helps, but more often than not I'm just guessing.
I'm currently doing a male giant playthrough, and it is rough. You basically cant see anything you aim at, so my typical tactic of circle and shoot is out... no soloing armies with a giant. On the other hand, it has made me focus on being a better commander. Sometimes I'm successful...sometimes not.
Anyone still playing in 2023? Hit the like! If you are; this video is still accurate up to the latest update. But Falcons have become a bit more powerful. Prepare accordingly, wiped out my squad of elite max level troops (2,000+), utterly steam rolled me. Had some troops backed up just in case, eventually took it over by shear numbers. And you can get the newest version of the mod (1.5, beta) from the developer's Trello.
I really really just wish they would add the bodysliding feature to any of these fantasy mods (where if you die you play as one of your soldiers) Like seriously you have battles of upwards of 1000 troops, unless you set the battle size to 50 or something like that, you're most likely gonna die within the first few waves ESPECIALLY in sieges, having that feature means you can keep participating in the battle until you win or lose instead of having to wait until the giant +1000 soldier battle ends
I agree. Though you can always be the commander in the back, leading your forces from the rear. As for sieges, i crave the brytenwalda siege mod. Especially when guarrisons are huge. Just makes assaults painfully long.
@@TerryDuke Agreed on the sieges As for the first part, yeah I've seen people say that's how they play giant battles...except that I feel like at that point we're just playing a rather crappy version of Total War, where tactics don't matter that much (no matter how much the mods improve on them) and troops ultimately just bash into each other randomly And while these soldier on soldier fights may be fun to spectate, if you're not dead then you can't even properly watch them Trust me I adore the smaller battles and small details in these mods, which is why I keep playing them until the point where all battles become "Total War battles but worse to watch"...that' where I usually stop playing which is unfortunate
@@TerryDuke I was super happy with how Bannerlord allowed mixing mods, meaning I can easily add the bodysliding mini mod to any major conversion mod but the sad thing about Bannerlord....is that it doesn't have any major conversion mods yet due to the game constantly updating which breaks the old versions of their mods...so many decided to wait until the game is fully updated That's where Warband still holds the upper hand
@@سردةمعضحكة yeah i relate. But also, i just cheat my way back to full health. The chaotic mess of op troops and endless waves would give my perisno game the "battle of the bastards" vibe that i'm not about to die 5 seconds into 😂
@@سردةمعضحكة been saying the same thing on my previous mod videos. Bannerlord not being finished is frustrating. That said i intend to explore more for future content, maybe we'll discover some gems 😉
Just started playing Perisno a few weeks ago.. do I think it's good?.. Well, I haven't stopped playing it yet, so I would have to say that's a definite 'yes'. Great mod! Great job :-)
Hey, Terry.. or anyone who may know the answer to this question: I've searched but could not find the answer to this. I am playing a female character, currently a lord under Reich Des Drachen.. we are at war with Drahara.. I just conquered a castle and Kaiser Otto awarded it to me. Okay, now here is the question: When I go to the castle I have all sorts of options, and one of them is to manage my kingdom. I can hire a spymaster, Marshall, and all that stuff.. everyone refers to me as 'Queen'.. why do I have the kingdom management options when I don't even have my own kingdom yet? I have not started my own faction, I'm still working for Reich, so I don't understand this. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks :-)
Hi, Not sure why, did you check in the factions section if you appear as one? Otherwise, it's probably a bug. I did go through the kingdom management options in my part 3 video, if you need help with that.
@@TerryDuke okay, thank you :-) that's what I thought, that it may be a bug. yeah, I checked under factions; I'm still a lord under Otto.. Time to reload an earlier save, and just go ahead and start my own faction anyway :-) I'm about at that point in my game 👍 Thanks again, Terry. Keep up the great work:-)
If i had a nicle for every mod for mount and blade warband that is a low fantasy setting, haves overpowered enemies, is considered very hard and starts with a P, i would have two nicles Which isnt a lot, but is weird that it happened twice Also its nice to see im not the only one who cheats in this type of mods Like, how im gonna enjoy the game if a god damn random end game enemy spawns and kills my entire villager army? The first time is cool, but the 24th time (yes i counted) isnt
Hol up...did you intentionally leave out the Mongol-like faction so it remains a secret or did you simply forget about it? cause it's kind of a big part of the mod and it affects the state of the map heavily when it arrives on the map...I should know since I always choose to be part of Tolrania
@@TerryDuke Ah ok sorry didn't know that...judged by the title and thought this was it (you said at the outro you'll be doing somewhat of a let's play so I thought this was all the summarization you'll do)
@@سردةمعضحكة No worries, I probably did not express it properly. This was initially going to be just one video, but it was really long. I prefer several shorter videos than a big one. Helps me compartmentalize better.
still think perisno needs more polishing and balancing. pendor is incredible at that. but hey pendor is at 3.9.5 compared to like 1.4.5 i think. So perisno is still at it
Come on man, why use the cheats It kills the satisfaction when you finally get money for the armor or weapon It gives sense of accomplishment I definitely recommend people playing without cheats
Did you just pull an EA with the sense of pride and accomplishment? 😂 Listen man, I played plenty without cheats. Mostly I use them to skip the grind of leveling up and let's be honest; losing your entire warband after recruiting and training for hours if not days is heart wrenching. I don't blame people for cheating, let's just have fun!
@@TerryDuke I dont know what EA said I just don't think people should be encouraged to cheat Even developers turn off achievements if someone uses cheats I dont know, personally, i like to play slow and not engage in battles i know i cant win
@@1389-z2b I mean it's single player right? It's not like your cheating affects the gaming of other people. And to me it's like choosing a difficulty in a game. If you want a challenge, you pick a higher difficulty. But if you're just trying to enjoy the game without struggling, what's wrong with picking easy? Or cheating? I agree if you cheat to beat a game you should not get achievements, but if that's a trade people are willing to make, what's wrong with it? The cheats in warband were put there by the devs, by the way. All games have built-in cheats for people to mess around with. Live and let live, basically.
Of course. Games should be fun, and hard games just aren’t for everybody. If lowering the difficulty or cheating makes the game more enjoyable, it’s all that matters.
I always thought this mod is easy. All I did for my first playthrough was: -start as merchant ( it comes with a merchant outfit that gives +1 to trading and inventory management -Start moving caravans (high path finding helps a lot since caravans are slow without upgrades) -Earn tons of money and start hiring Sut and Bakhal giant mercenaries from their tavern. I literally became unstoppable with these giants that I took out the Zann and the Elves factions with a bajillion giants and some custom mercenary horse archers. Might not work in hardcore mode though
