Gavin, I would like to obtain the look of the long exposure photo, but I think I need a video of the entire fireworks show. Is there a way to obtain that look in a photo from only video footage? Maybe you pull multiple stills from the video and stack them? I am not sure. Thanks.
I did some firework shots vids and pics on July 4 this year (Detroit by the river) with my Mini 2 they came out pretty good but i just did it in auto mode , next time ill use my Mini 3 and mess around in manual mode to improve it

gee, It seems so simple now that you've told me...I would have been clicking the photo button hopelessly late and wondering why I wasn't getting anything!
I used your settings for photos with one exception I went with 1.6” shutter… Even at 1.6” the finale was too bright and I wasn’t able to capture nothing more than blown out bright light…. It should be able to yes :)
1600-3200 ISO will work. Shoot in RAW and denoise in Lightroom. Since 2s is maximum exposure time, you have to increase your ISO
Were you worried about keeping the white balance on auto at all? With that constantly changing did you notice any detrimental effects?

Night mode is a weird one in the mini 4 pro - I’ll need to test more but for the life of me I can’t tell a difference 😂
so no mention of white balance or low light setting

I have a Mavic 3 Classic, Do you recommend video in auto focus or manual focus?
I would stick with auto , by the time you have manually focussed it the firework will be gone
You can set to Infinity focus. The distance that you are away will be perfect for infinity
I was really looking forward to doing my 1st ever video of a firework display where i live, then the weather changed and grounded me 😢😢
