I just pulled the trigger on the mini 3 for my 55 birthday the first serious drone ever in my life , and I'm so excited for all the experiences it will open up for a first timer and an old timer at that!! life is good finally !!
First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🎁🎉 Never a more perfect time to get into drones. They’re so much fun and the mini series drones are excellent for beginner flyers. You will want to bring it everywhere. Enjoy my friend and thanks a lot for sharing!
@@The-Drone-Guy yes it is my first drone. I own a landscaping & lawncare company so I was hoping to use it for aerial shots of work that I do and get good before and after pictures to showcase my work. I planned on using it strictly for business but I’ve been using it nonstop since I got it. Looking forward to traveling with it as well and exploring new areas.
@@bangermemez that is really awesome to hear! Some of my favorite images that have been published in magazines were some work I did for a landscape designer. Sounds like you will be adding some great photos to your business and personal life 😁🙏🏻🚁🎉
just a tip, because like you said, wind is indeed a big factor for range tests. if you want to do a range test, make sure the wind gust is low. anything below 10 mph winds is perfect. i'm saying that because in the video you can clearly see the drone has difficulty reaching max speed, which is 10 m/s for normal mode, so definately not a good idea launching from a mountain. also another IMPORTANT problem is that if you don't know what wind direction you're going, there is a chance you run into currents and the return may not always be good, had range tests where i was going with the wind direction and after i was returning, the drone couldn't go at its maximum speed, so it was risky returning back.
Totally understand this train of thought thanks so much for sharing! I was so eager to shoot this video that I’d still be waiting for a day with 10pm constant wind. And your point regarding tail wind on the return home is so important, one of the main reasons people lose there drone in my opinion. Thanks for watching and sharing your insights!
Just got a mini3 for my 52nd birthday. This is a totally new facet of a aviation, which I’ve been involved in for most of my life either as a pilot or a certified maintenance technician (A&P). It’s a bit tricky trying to figure out the legal aspects of it - I work overseas in Europe so the laws are different. Anyway, picked up the fly more package and was loving it for the first 2 weeks. Then a picture perfect day came up and I went to fire up the drone and the controller was dead. Doesn’t inspire much confidence in DJI so far but it could have been a fluke. Had to send it out for repairs which in Germany takes four weeks at least so I’m watching videos to scratch that drone itch I’ve suddenly been afflicted with. Thinking about building one from some of these FPV kits as well. Anyway, thanks for posting the range test and hoping to end up with some extra storage for those drone videos of the Black Sea in Bulgaria this summer! Keep doing what you are doing - great stuff!
Thanks for tuning in to the channel while you wait for the repairs. I have noticed the controllers with built in screen need to be recharged more frequently than the traditional ones without a screen. It’s also cool to hear your background in aviation. You’d probably really enjoy taking a Part 107 knowledge course to help you get to know the laws. With your experience in understanding weather breading, Notams, TFR, sectional maps you will eventually get really confident in the drone world I’m sure. Enjoy!
Great video. I have just purchased a Mini 3 pro and it will be delivered this evening, I am progressing from the mini 2 se and so looking forward to comparing the two. At 66 years old I never knew I could be so excited :) I just love drone flying.
Hey! Thanks so much for tuning in and sharing your experience. I’m happy to hear you enjoyed the se so much you decided to upgrade. It is a hobby that provides endless enjoyment! Keep me posted when you share your new footage 🙏🚁
have a mini 3, it's been great. crashed a couple times as a newb, but nothing major or unfixable. broken props mainly. overall a really great beginner drone, just plan on your first one being an expendable learner if that happens. watch for wind gusts coming around things you're flying close to. if the wind manages to flip it, it'll shut off and fall.
Hey! I totally agree with you it’s an amazing starter drone. Can handle a lot as you can see and also provides stunning images and video! Be careful not to crash too many times the gimbal is super delicate- happy flying!
@@Invisibleman1776 that’s awesome! You will feel the mini 3 was a good choice. It has so much to offer and in my opinion is the best starter drone. You’ll want to take it everywhere 🤩
I'm guessing in order to reach maximum range you need no obstructions. I've been flying my mini 3 around the neighborhood and i usually start losing signal at around 2000 feet which is around 600 meters
Yes this is very much the difference maker - I planned this location for the test spot as I thought it would allow for max distance. City areas and neighborhoods have much more interference like power lines and buildings. Hope this helps!
I’m sure you know this/have been told, but when filming for TH-cam you should try to film in landscape (phone parallel with horizon) whenever possible. It just makes everything cleaner and it’s less hassle for viewers that watch TH-cam in fullscreen (landscape), which is almost everyone! However, sick video! Thank you for sharing this with us.
I need to rewind and watch again because I didn't see how you got the weather data? I just got it two days ago. This is a very great video by the way! Thank you so much answered a lot of questions
I always look at reviews with differences between models and was going for dji mini s se but heard about gimble problems, looked at mini 3 and mini 3 pro and decided on mini 3, then was the choice of rc or rc n1 I went for rc so I didn't have to mess around using my phone especially as it's the z flip 5, got a spare battery and case and uv camera lens, I love that drone it's amazing, can't wait to take it out once weather gets better here in UK
Hey 👋 So glad you did your research and are already getting the drone itch! We too here in coastal New England have had crappy weather. Hopefully over the coming weeks we can all get out there more 🙏🏻🙏🏻
No worries mate, I don’t think I clarified in the video. It is the standard battery issued with the drone. Only used it about 4-5 times prior to this flight. Hope this helps! Thanks for tuning in
Nice video, do the drones in the USA/Canada have longer range than the ones in EU? When i tried my DJI Mini 3 Pro here in Sweden i got to about 3200 M, and did you use 2,4 Ghz, 5,8 Ghz, or dual transmission?
I do think the type of infrastructure does change the range. Between interference as well as satellite access. I’m not 100 percent of the frequency but I’m pretty sure most rc in US run 2.4ghz Some WiFi use 5.8 to avoid interference with cellular and rc signals. Hope this helps!
Hi there! I looked into this more and it looks like in your transmission section of the DJI fly app you can choose between 2.4 , 5.8 or dual band Hope this helps!
To be clear the DJI drones sold in the EU are the same hardware but are sold in CE mode because in Europe you're legally limited to a lower output power. 2.4 vs 5.8 has more to do with flying in areas with high interference and is usually best left on dual transmission. It is possible to unlock the FCC (North American) mode on DJI drones sold in the EU without much difficulty.
Hey Drew, good talking to you offline about mapping. If I won the giveaway I’d use it with the Mini 2 SE I just picked up - I haven’t flown it yet because of rain. Thanks!
Could do with a sandisk memory card for my drone and always handy to have a spare. I find Airdata uav is now better than uav forecast as it has so much good information on your drone life and flight health information
I just bought this one and I absolutely love it. I've never had it more than maybe 500 m. If I set my maximum altitude, will it adjust with terrain or will that just be my altitude from my launching spot? I want to keep it as low as possible while making sure I miss trees from what I've seen around me 20 or 30 m seems sufficient but I might put it at 50. I just don't want to use unnecessary battery power.
I have the Original DJI mini and I have reached 4040m on a good clear day, I may have reached 4600m but I can't find the video so that may just be poor memory on my behalf
I crashed my Mini 2Se against a Lightpole, so i bought a Mini 3 instead and it flies pretty good tho..... Is that SD card still avaliable? I really like to win that card, greetings from the Netherlands.
Oh cool to hear someone from the Netherlands is tuning in! Mini 3 is an awesome replacement and upgrade to the mini 2 Se. Unfortunately the giveaway is over but I will be doing another soon!
Just bought a Mini 3, no drone experience, and am very hesitant of it. Thanks for the Video.. how do you think trees or buildings affect the range? I'm in Florida, so having a wide open area is almost impossible.
Hey there! Thanks a lot for the question. But first off you will love this as a starter drone. Flys stable and has a long battery life. Trees and buildings will certainly interfere with the signal especially at increasing range. One way to mitigate this is to fly at higher altitude maintaining a line of sight to the drone. Other into fly from a high take off point. I’m guessing in your area the topography is flat however some options may be still available. Some parking garage have open top floors that usually are empty of cars and can be a good launch point. However be mindful they may have “no photos” posted. Even sitting on roof your truck or vehicle may provide a slightly better signal. May have to mess with it but all in all the range of these drones has improved dramatically. Some good locations for your first flight are old ball fields, farms or parks that don’t fall under state or national oversight. As those usually don’t allow drones. Hope this helps!
Good video i am soon going to buy a mini 3 with the combo set and remote with screen in :) i have a phantom 3 advanced who still fly as a dream and then i have a mini se altso whitch i use the litchi app on both to fly and i live in Denmark :)
Hey there thanks so much for tuning into the channel and for sharing your experience. Once I get time I plan to dive into the litchi app, you prefer this over the DJI fly app? Just curious more than anything. Also I am so jealous you get to still fly your phantom. My phantom 4 has been hung up for years now 😢
@@The-Drone-Guy well i have my phantom 3 advanced in 6 years now newer has a crash yet and it flyes as it was new and i always have it out about 2 km every time i fly and yes it can go farther away and i use litchi to it too as litchi has so mutch to offer over the dji go app :) but litchi is not compatible with the mini 3 :) its only compatible with the mini se and mini 2 :) but not the mini 2 se :( and i hope one day to get one of your give away lol :)
@@rrjensen100 that’s not surprising that your phantom still runs smooth. Mine still flies amazingly however the image sensor started to fail and leave small pixels of white and red everywhere. Other than that it was the best drone for 7 solid years. Hoping to test the litchi app with my mavic 3 soon. Stay tuned for another giveaway!
@@rrjensen100 No I know I was hoping the Mavic 3 did since it one of the more advanced DJI drones? I happen to have a mini 2 se, mini 3, mavic 3 and phantom 4
And can i screen record? I have a memory card in the drone and the controller. But I only have an iPhone so I don't know how to get them from there to my iPhone.
Hi there! If you have only turned the drone on indoors that could very well be why. It usually takes a minute or so even outdoors for the gps to engage. Have fun!
@@The-Drone-Guy bought new. Have not flown it yet since the app does not work. Downloaded and reinstalled and rebooted multiple times. even contacted support and they could not help me either.
Oh wow I have never heard of this issue. I will look into it and try to see if I can help. When in doubt you can try to reset everything to the factory settings
I enjoy your videos especially the light house video. I got my mini 2 SE for Christmas and would use the SD Card or case for it. Keep the videos coming they are very inspirational!
Love to hear this! Wish I could get a big meet up with all my subscribers at the lighthouse for a drone day. Thanks for watching and looking forward to making more videos
That is a great question - one which I may have to test. My guess is that the speed will be offset by the battery consumption - you may be able to get further more quickly but with the increase in speed the battery life diminishes faster so will need to return home sooner. I’ll have to look into this!!
Hey! Thanks for commenting and entering the giveaway- I would not suggest flying any drone in the rain. However stay tuned because I am about to share a video of what it’s like flying in some snow. Thanks for tuning in!
@@andytran7937 I would definitely check out my other videos. I’d say check out the videos on quick shots and the two narrated flights I did with mini 2 se. They have some great beginner knowledge
Hmm I’m assuming I was referencing the return home altitude. Being sure it is set to a height that isn’t too high or too low. If that doesn’t answer your question can you reference when in the video I said this?
I’d say in this particular scenario in the video I would have been able to hover for about 10 min with enough 🔋 to return home - however the flight results will vary depending on many factors
Hi I know that this is 6 months ago, but did you see FERHAANMANAN FROM PAKISTAN FLY his drone 12000 METRES, THE SAME ONE YOU ARE USING DJI MINI PRO. 3 , worth a look what are drone they made, thanks for your work love it and hope to see more. Alan from ENGLAND 🇺🇲🇬🇧💯👍
Dude. I just bought DJ 3 mini and i did some test flights and i try the distance settings on unlimited but less than 2 miles my drone get a lost signal and started to RTH
It will vary depending on the area you’re flying. More obstructions like buildings mountains and trees will limit the range. Also power lines and other forms of interference play a role. I’d say for the most part 1-2 miles is the max range but in this case I planned the perfect location to maximize distance. Hope this helps!
Hi. I have a very terrible mistake. I just came back from lake tahoe and unfortunately my DJI 3 mini crashed. The GPS give me direction to locate my drone and my the drone is hanging on the pine trees close to the lake. The ppl I talk to wants to charge me $500 because not sure which trees the drone is hanging on. Its already 6pm and its getting dark. They said we're going to get by tomorrow morning. But ,that night it was so windy and I'm not sure if my drone still there? I was so.worried the drone might have fallen to the lake? No matter, they retrieve my drone or what , I still need to pay 500 bucks. So I decide to let go the, and for me it doesn't makes sense. its so sad because just bought the drone 2 weeks ago. My question is. I still have the RC Controller with built in scree. If I going to buy a DJI 2 SE? Is it compatible to 3 mini RC N1 controler? Thank you
@@gmctano1570 first off- so sorry about your ordeal! Which people are helping you get the drone $500 seems expensive considering there’s about how much it would be to replace the drone. The controller with screen built in does not work with the mini 2 se so be mindful of which drone you choose as a replacement. I have had amazing luck with the refurbished drones at a discount if that helps at all as well. Good luck!!
Hey! Thankfully where I live here in the Northeast I have had minimal to no issues with birds. Most of them are afraid of the sound of the drone and fly off. I will say that going abroad is a different story. When I was in Italy for example I had a very tough time with birds in certain areas. These are birds such as gulls and swallows that I don't usually have issue with here in the States. Hope this helps!
@@Dteedigital absolutely! I occasionally use my Mini 3 for real estate when using my mavic 4 doesn’t seem necessary. I just posted another video showing just this 👍
It’s typically based on your level at launch. If you launch from bottom of hill and fly up your altitude will read +300 feet etc. but if you launch from top of mountain and fly down it will begin reading - feet. So even if you launch from a picnic table there maybe a slight difference. Hope this helps!
I launch from flat ground my yard, fly it across my yard all level ground. I'm 6ft tall I raise my drone even with and controller would read 9ft.I can launch and fly about 100ft straight up over landing pad, bring it back down to 3ft , but controller reading 8ft
I have the Mini 3 and did a range test with none to little wind over the ocean. I went 4.9 miles before I freaked out and returned. th-cam.com/video/1IWABos4GQA/w-d-xo.html
I did think this same thing too about the mini drone series when I saw so many people (still do) breaking arms. However I think the more I handle these drones it’s more a subject of the powerful motor coming to a complete stop or being impeded by a branch. That force is not something that plastic is designed for. Fly safe my friend!
Great video, already been a subscriber, the memory card will work perfectly for my Mini 2, or the Samsung Tablet I use for flight!! Never been further North than NYC, beautiful country up there!
Hey, as someone who has owned a mini 3 for a while and also done a range test with it i just wanted to give some tips and point out some mistakes you made that might have cost you a few km, it actually says on the dji website what the best flying speeds are for the mini depending on what you want to achieve, the best speed for flight time is 21.6km/h, and the best speed for distance (which is what we need here) is 43.2km/h which means you need to go into sport mode and control the stick so that it stays at around 43 km/h so you get the best distance, thats what i did and i got to 8.4km and returned just fine which is weird because im in europe with the CE thing which says it can only go to 6km but for some reason mine went further (i had 2/5 bars on the top right thingy) anyways, maybe you could redo the range test and see how far it can make it without the CE limitations and with the proper speed and see if u can go further than my 8.4km, would love to see how that goes!
Im new to drones but love my Mini 3. Just learning its limits and must say its fun. Im 65 and learning new stuff. Grandkids love to watch the videos. Keep up the good work!
Wow thanks so much for sharing, I’d love to try out an Avata. Hopefully soon! FPV is definitely something you’ll want the extra storage for. Good luck and thanks again for tuning in!
Hey! Thanks so much for tuning in. I can totally relate to baseline wind always being a factor. These drones have come along way with their ability to handle wind. Hopefully you get some good days of flying 🙏🚁
I'd love to use it on my new DJI mini 2 se drone, the footage from it has not dissapointed. I've also got a CPL, ND8 and 16 filter because of the high sunlight contrast over here. Your videos have helped quite a lot, thank you!
Not at all! I usually get much longer, windy days cut down the battery a bit. And pushing the drone at full speed the whole time is not usual. And you can change the settings so it won’t bother you to return home until less battery.
As always, thanks Drew. The 3 is quite an improvement on the 2SE in many ways. Another excellent video free of fan-boy clap trap and full of simple real life experience. I’m guessing you have totally forgotten you once replied to a comment that you would consider the Potensic Atom as your first non-DJI flyer 😉😂

@@Invisibleman1776 absolutely, anything that gets between the drone and remote will interfere. It can be a physical building, mt or trees etc or something we can’t see like radio waves. The drone does run on dual band transmission so that does help
I'm buying a DJI Mini 3 soon and I don't have too much money, while trying to save for college, so if I had a memory card instead of having to purchase one it would definitely lighten the load! 5km and back and video and quickshot!!!! I don't think that my mini 2 se can handle that, because the battery drains just like running water!!! And I only have one battery 🤣Anyway, if I win, the card will go to the mini!
Isn’t it just crazy! I’m eager to get an intelligent flight battery and see if there is an even greater distance that could be achieved. My next giveaway may end up being a battery for mini 2 se so stay tuned! 🚁🙏 thanks again for watching always appreciated
Dope video! I own this drone as well and was wondering about it's distance max and so forth, so thanks for putting on a show with it! Not sure if the give-away is over or not, but I followed anyhow for some new content. Keep up the good work!
Good vid dude, just a little tip as an "almost pilot" lol. Flight radar doesn't show all air traffic, it depends on what type of equipment the plane has on board and you'll often find small planes without the transponder type that allow it to be seen, or no transponder at all.
I totally appreciate this comment because it is validating for me as the “almost pilot” I aspire to be 😅🙏🏻 I always pull up my app when I see a plane just as I’m curious and you’re right in saying that not all air traffic is being displayed. And it’s often times a fairly low flying plane or helicopter 🙏🏻🚁

WOW great video, Have you done any mods to your mini 3 pro? I can barely get 1.5 KMS from my drone (Mini 3 pro) I have done all the updates and a little disappointed in the range I am getting from my drone. Thank you
Hey there! Curious if you’re flying in the states or abroad? I haven’t done any mods to my drone. However I will say this location was well planned and I chose it for the best range ability. When I fly in more city areas I get hit with more interference and limited range. All depends on your environment as well.
So happy I pulled the trigger on the RC remote. So nice not having to worry about the phone and set up takes 60 seconds and you’re flying. Thanks for sharing!
Hey! Fair point however I did apply for a waiver initially for this video as I’m a part 107 pilot. I’m allowed to work with the rules a little. However after more research and reaching out to a friend in air traffic control It wasn’t necessary. Although the drone was too small to see, it technically was within my line of site. When I trained for my part 107 they claimed a human eye can see up to 3 miles away (I find to be a stretch) so although I don’t suggest anyone flying their drone 3 miles away there really isn’t anything dangerous about this flight. It was well planned around manned aircraft, people and other things I’ve learned flying drones commercially for almost 10 years. Hope this helps clear the air a little and answer any questions.

Hey! Totally know what you mean, I guess I’m still getting used to this haha- thanks so much for watching 😁👍
That’s a great review on the range test man! Keep it up
More to come! Thanks for tuning in :)
Hey 👋
So glad you did your research and are already getting the drone itch! We too here in coastal New England have had crappy weather. Hopefully over the coming weeks we can all get out there more 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Your gimbal problem is the incorrect spelling. 😉
Is this with the standard battery or the extended smart battery sorry if i missed it during the video. Thanks 👍
No worries mate, I don’t think I clarified in the video. It is the standard battery issued with the drone. Only used it about 4-5 times prior to this flight. Hope this helps! Thanks for tuning in

Great video , i was just looking at purchasing a mini 3 and this video popped up.
That’s great to hear you were able to find my channel. I have really enjoyed the mini 3! Thanks for tuning in and entering the giveaway as well 🙏😁🚁
Nice flight! I just got the mini 2 and love it so far.
Oh fun! I’m so glad to hear that - where are you flying from? 😁🚁
I’m not 100 percent of the frequency but I’m pretty sure most rc in US run 2.4ghz
Some WiFi use 5.8 to avoid interference with cellular and rc signals. Hope this helps!
Hi there! I looked into this more and it looks like in your transmission section of the DJI fly app you can choose between 2.4 , 5.8 or dual band
Hope this helps!
Thanks!
Hey! So glad you were able to get one while they are on sale. Looking forward to connecting further over the photo mapping 😁🚁🙏
Could do with a sandisk memory card for my drone and always handy to have a spare.
I find Airdata uav is now better than uav forecast as it has so much good information on your drone life and flight health information
Hey! Thanks so much for entering the giveaway and also sharing this awesome information. I’m definitely checking that app out.
My gf got me one for my birthday, im excited to fly with it
Wow that’s such a thoughtful gift!! You’re going to truly enjoy it. Let me know if you have any beginner Q’s
5k is about what I get too. However, I can get 5-6 miles (9km) straight shot (tracking from car) with 20% remaining.
Wow that’s pretty amazing! This drone definitely had some of the best battery life of any drone I’ve flown
Nice video i just got my mini3 two months ago and i been flying when i get chance
Thanks so much for watching! The mini drone’s definitely make flying fun and convenient. Enjoy 👍🚁
Hi I bought dji mini 3 3-4 days ago I tried to go as far as u but its losing control when it goes 400 meters it says “no signal” idk why
Great video and hope to use the memory card for a 2 SE
Thanks so much for sharing! Best of luck 🙏😁
I have the Original DJI mini and I have reached 4040m on a good clear day, I may have reached 4600m but I can't find the video so that may just be poor memory on my behalf
Wow that’s actually even more impressive given the tech! So cool thanks for sharing
The mini 3 is not supported by litchi until dji release the software update so it support litchi

I just got my mini 3 today with fly more combo, but there is no gps signal error, i hope it will be fixed when i fly in open space😊
Hi there! If you have only turned the drone on indoors that could very well be why. It usually takes a minute or so even outdoors for the gps to engage. Have fun!
I wish i have that drone soon
I hope for you my friend!
I have a mini 3 but the dji fly app will not work on pixel 8 pro
Really!! That’s odd. If try deleting and downloading it again / did you buy brand new or used?
@@The-Drone-Guy bought new. Have not flown it yet since the app does not work. Downloaded and reinstalled and rebooted multiple times. even contacted support and they could not help me either.
does it use a plus battery?
No this was a standard battery
It was CE or FCC?
FCC
Please help me on how to turn off the video looping on mini3. My video footage loop every 5 minutes. Which setting i need to change
Oh wow I have never heard of this issue. I will look into it and try to see if I can help. When in doubt you can try to reset everything to the factory settings
I would love this!
Best of luck winning some memory 😁✌️
Why not a more realistic range test with interferences like buildings or other radio transmitters?
That’s a very interesting idea and will look into doing this!
Hi... This is ce or fcc?
@@CH-do7sw FCC
Are you in fcc mode?
Yep 👍
My dji mini 3 can’t even go 2500m away without losing signal how was trying to get near the mountains but I keep losing signal plus I fly it in oahu
My suggestion is to try to gain altitude, aka hike up to a point, then launch the drone. You should have better connection 👍🚁
Would you go farther in sport mode?
That is a great question - one which I may have to test. My guess is that the speed will be offset by the battery consumption - you may be able to get further more quickly but with the increase in speed the battery life diminishes faster so will need to return home sooner. I’ll have to look into this!!
was that with the 51 min battery ? or 38min battery?
This was with the standard battery it came with, great question! 💪🔋
Hi I have a question what happens if you fly in heavy rain with a DJI mini three
Hey! Thanks for commenting and entering the giveaway- I would not suggest flying any drone in the rain. However stay tuned because I am about to share a video of what it’s like flying in some snow. Thanks for tuning in!

What do you mean, to high to low return ?
Hmm I’m assuming I was referencing the return home altitude. Being sure it is set to a height that isn’t too high or too low. If that doesn’t answer your question can you reference when in the video I said this?
Hey bud u did not say stunning scenery lol, l just got mine Saturday ñot flown it fully yet
Haha that’s true!! I appreciate the comment enjoy
Suppose that I want to fly for 5 km with a mini 3, and want to be able to return home (5 km). How much time can I spend hovering?
I’d say in this particular scenario in the video I would have been able to hover for about 10 min with enough 🔋 to return home - however the flight results will vary depending on many factors
@@The-Drone-Guy thank you for the reply. In this video, were you using the standard battery?
@@User-jr7vf yes I was and in fact this was a refurbished drone
Hi I know that this is 6 months ago, but did you see FERHAANMANAN FROM PAKISTAN FLY his drone 12000 METRES, THE SAME ONE YOU ARE USING DJI MINI PRO. 3 , worth a look what are drone they made, thanks for your work love it and hope to see more. Alan from ENGLAND 🇺🇲🇬🇧💯👍
Hey there from across the pond! I’ll be sure to check out those videos thanks so much for sharing
@@The-Drone-Guy Thank you!
Good luck!!
@gmctano1570 so sorry to hear that. That is such a sad story.
Was it a standard battery or extended?
Great question! Standard battery only on its 4th cycle
Thank you sir!
You are welcome!
Have you had problems with any birds?
Awesome video!
Thanks so much!
@@The-Drone-Guy so I have a mini 3 and you think it's capable of doing real estate shots and footage for roofing companies?
@@Dteedigital absolutely! I occasionally use my Mini 3 for real estate when using my mavic 4 doesn’t seem necessary. I just posted another video showing just this 👍
Nice drone mini 3 more batery life😊
It actually has one of the best battery lives of any drone
5 km is good range.
I can’t see why I’d need to fly anywhere further haha
Do the dji mini drone height read accurately, my dji mini 3 can be 3 ft off the ground but my control will say 8ft
I went up to 6000 m 😁💪💪💪
FCC MODE?
Yes
So these aren't just toys???😅

Very very poor plastic.... one branch and the front arm broke... repairs... about 200 dollars
I did think this same thing too about the mini drone series when I saw so many people (still do) breaking arms. However I think the more I handle these drones it’s more a subject of the powerful motor coming to a complete stop or being impeded by a branch. That force is not something that plastic is designed for. Fly safe my friend!
I agree.... very capable besides the plastic, and easy to handle (if you watch the environment😂) I sure should have...

Very informative video! I'm a new owner of a mini 3 with flight anxiety, and this is great research/review material.

so let me get this straight flight time is max 15min , since you have to return home.
Not at all! I usually get much longer, windy days cut down the battery a bit. And pushing the drone at full speed the whole time is not usual. And you can change the settings so it won’t bother you to return home until less battery.

Waste of money for explores cuz of battery
Huh? This battery is the best so far I’ve seen in any drone
