The General Liu is definetly top tier in the medic class, especially if you use the variant with the foregrip, There's practically no recoil. Imo the federov is overall fun to use, and that's about it. The best easy mode gun to use is the autoloader 8.25, blows most of the other medic guns out of the water

Trills, Chills and Kills I don’t think the Fedorov is the best. But I do see where your coming from. I just think it’s easy to use making a smooth transition for assault noobs who only use that class. It’s an smg for the medics. It’s nice that is medics have a chance against the hellreigel people
Before the TTK change the 8.35 was best 1v1 and Farquhar-Hill best overall. Not based on stats but just on what I've seen done with the weapons by great players. Tbf in BF1 there aren't really that many weapons that can't perform at something specific.
Autoloading 8 extended is, in my opinion, the best medic weapon. You can down enemies much quicker than the Federov Avtomat, and it has a more controllable recoil.
Best guns: Assault: automatico storm (tap fire=crazy range) Medic: Farquar (awesome crowd control, fast reload, great rof) Support: bar storm (small clip only drawback, shreds at any range) Scout: SMLE infantry (on console sticky AF, perfect aggressive sniper, find a head glitch and go to work, huge clip)

As someone who plays the support the most, I would say the MG14/17 because it's an absolute beast, but is a weapon that requires skill to use at medium to long range, but is one of the best weapons if you master the recoil. making it good for hardcore players.
Arthur F The MG14/17 has the fastest time-to-kill out of all the MGs. Faster then the BARs and faster then most SMGs, except for Automatico. Maybe you have the MG14/17 Parabellum confused with the other MG15 which has a slower rate of fire, but is more stable.
I had about 8 headshots with the Farquar Hill Storm before I even unlocked the gun from 1 life of picking it up off a fallen enemy! It's definitely my favorite non-fully-automatic medic class rifle. Then they would be stormtroopers. The point of a medic is to sit back and revive teammates when they fall. That's exactly what SLRs force you to do, which makes the medic effective. Compared to previous titles where they were giving the best overall weapons and that made it so that people neglected the role more because they were to distracted getting kills, or they were the first ones in and the first ones to fall. A medics job is to sit back, cover their teammates, wait till said teammate falls and then pick him up. A medic should never be the first one in and the first one to fall. A dead medic is a useless medic. From experience, the random medics on Battlefield 1 have been way more efficient then on previous titles where they were more neglectful to teammates because the influence the assault rifles had on them. Your more likely to get revived on BF1 then on previous titles and that is because they are giving weapons that force them to stay in the back of the squad/team, making it easier for them to revive when they see someone die right in front of them. Assaults are supposed to be the rushers. Medics are supposed to sit back and support their team. Supports are kind of in the middle of Assaults and Medics, where they are supposed to be a bit more in the front, but also support there team with ammo and suppression. Scouts being the least effective class for getting objectives are supposed to spot people and light them up on the map, since you no longer appear on the mini map when firing your gun, making spotting people more important. I don't hate previous Battlefields. I actually like previous Battlefields better then BF1. I'm just saying how BF1 handled the classes was right. The class feel more focused on there roles now.

I absolutely love 2nd and 1st place weapons. I love being able to be competitive with assault in close combat. Used to hate trying to remove enemy with self loading up close, just so I can revive my team. I know a fair amount if the community are not the biggest bf1 fans but I absolutely love it. I think modern fps don't even have to be great, to have a lot if fun. Just being in a battle with real people is so much fun. And bf1 is no exception. The graphics are great, lots of beautiful varied maps/weather ect. Loads of guns to play with. Loads if game modes. The gun sounds, the times you check the scoreboard and see your going 15.0 is thrilling. Or when you charge into a room and take out 4 or 5 people. Throwing dynamite out of a window and blowing up a bunch of enemy. Tearing down a building with rocket gun/limpet , tank and killing all campers inside. Getting destroyed but then managing to pull it back and win the match by as little as 1 point is such a rush. :-)
It's vital to the gameplay that medic can be up close and personal with their team mates - Fedorov is a step in the right direction to encourage more medics to do that but imho I've always relied on the Autoloading 8.25 extended. It's a wee bit weak atm since cqb is dominated by Hellreigels and Automaticos but hopefully a buff should give combat medics and the team they support a better chance

The Fedorav isn't an assault rifle. It's using a full power cartridge (admittedly it isn't on par with rifle cartridges you'd see being used by most Western powers but it's still a full power cartridge). The Fedorav would be more accurately described as an automatic rifle like the BAR but it isn't technically an assault rifle.
Andrei, it's not a full power cartridge. The 6.5mm Arisaka round falls into the higher end of modern standards for INTERMEDIATE rounds like the 5.56x45mm NATO and the 7.62x39mm Russian. The Federov Avtomat fulfils all modern requirements for an Assault Rifle, including a detachable magazine which was a feature of the weapon but almost never used in combat due to manufacturing restrictions. I did research the round some time ago to this exact argument, and although I have not got the exact research right in front of me again, interestingly, 6.5mm Arisaka, actually falls into both weight and velocity requirements for intermediate rounds, barely, one point, I believe the powder, was within intermediate margins by a single point, but it was still within the margin. This means, in 1917, the Federov Avtomat was the world's first Assault Rifle, well before the prototypes of the STG-44, the MkB-42, were created in 1942.
A fix for the medic class- 10 points for “crippling” someone, and an extra ten if that person goes to the spawn screen, which would be officially killing them. However if revived by a medic, only the 10 points for “crippling” that person is received. A death also will not count unless the “crippled” player goes to the spawn screen. “Crippled” refers to when a player has been killed but there is still an opportunity for them to be revived, and have not yet gone to the spawn screen.
GenericSlick I prefer the Sjögren. The inconsistent shotgun damage means you frequently have to use two shots with most of the shotguns so only having two is basically living on death row.
Played with the Rigotti gun to get the Federov and as soon as I got it, I went from averaging 10-15 kills a game to getting 25-30+ a game. Best gun hands down because its like the only fully automatic rifle for the class.
Best medic rifel for PS4 by far is Mondregon Sniper with 2.5 scope. You are really competitive in all ranges. So quick and yet you have the ability to take out more than 1 person. Love it!
Alek Wester Try planting your feet still when you're shooting - walking makes it spread more than the Cei Rigotti and its ADS is good enough to not miss any shots within something like 55m if I remember the value correctly.
I love the Farquhar, but I can agree it's not really a competitive weapon. It's damage drop off at range is awful and it's iron sights along with the spread are some of the worse. Hopefully it becomes a really good gun in the TTK patch when they buff those problems. Right now, it's most effective for flanking and taking out multiple Infantry at once because of its magazine. I use it a lot and do really good with it. Usually do better then 40-10 most games with it, but it isn't that good of a gun. Again, hopefully it gets buffed because it like how it feels and looks.

It's certainly a bugged weapon -- as westie said bullet go over iron sights more than intended I believe? That's the problem. If I see an enemy in ~100m I shoot all the bullets directly at him and no damage
Don't understand why people thought that the medic rifles in BF 1 needed a buff, They are already generally overpowered compared to the other classes weapons imo.
The rifles' effective ranges don't coincide with the purpose of the class (front line reviving and healing). It's why the federov is extremely popular.

A lot of the medic rifles are really ineffective to an extent at range and have really bad damage drop offs. The Farquhar Hill for example can take up to 4-5 shots at longer ranges to kill someone and it has terrible accuracy, mostly do to its sights.
Have you tried firing the Selbslader 1916 marksman at long range pre-patch? The bullets don't even fly straight on the first shot, notice-able when firing beyond 120 or so meters and actually becomes a serious issue at about 200m when you literally cannot seem to hit anyone with a direct aimed shot. They are getting an accuracy buff mostly.
When I first got the fedorav optical(which was the other day so I’m still trying find the best way to play) I play it more as a burst fire so I don’t have a shit done of recoil
We already know which shotgun is going to win, the Model 10 A, and I'm not surprised at all, the slug variant is so good IMO, gives you that bit of range as an assault player.
Great Video. I love these best weapon lists. I was surprised to see the Mondragon beating the Stebstalater *the one with 26 rounds. The Marksman variant is my personal best with almost 2,500 kills with it. If you can get the rhythm down and be accurate, it dominates the medium-long range engagements.
Medic class is already good enough, some people may find it polarizing but I think it is the most versatile class. You can play solo or play with a squad with one of the most important jobs. The guns are very nice, no restrictions to range as long as the shots are on target.
I was hoping to see why you or the community think that the Farquhar-Hill is such a good weapon. I played it quite a few times but I don't really get along with it. What am I missing, why is it so special?
Well I think the best medic weapon besides the Avtomat is the Selbstlader M1916, it got 26 rounds and 3BTK, so no need for the Farquhar-Hill in my opinion...
I love the look of it and that's why it's my favorite so far. It's pretty under balanced at the moment though with the TTK at range and accuracy of it do to its sights, so I am hoping it gets more love in the TTK buff.
I relied on the autoloading extended for most of the game to get me in the thick of it with my team. The best thing about this series s it goes past mere usage stats to take into account unquantifiable characters. How fun is it, etc. thanks,
The medic class makes perfect sense to me and is way more balanced not having the best overall class of weapon in the game. SLRs fit the medic class really well in my opinion, because what are medics supposed to do? Sit back and revive anyone that falls in front of them. Making SLRs perfect for that play style. As a medic, you are supposed to let the assaults and supports go first, while you sit back and cover them from behind. If they fall, then you'll be able to easily pick them up. It forces you more to play your role then it did on BF3 and BF4 from my experience. BF3 and BF4 with medics having the best overall weapon, assault rifles, medics were running into the battle first and were either to distracted from playing there class because they were getting kills, or were the first ones to die because they were usually the first ones to rush in, which defeats the point of being a medic. As a medic, if you are the first one in and one of the first to die in a scenario, then you are utterly useless. A dead medic is no good medic. On BF1, medics need to sit in the back and play more cautiously with their currently class weapons, SLRs, kind of forcing more people to take advantage of reviving allies, because they are usually behind the guys going in first. A medic in general should not be the first one in. Why? As I already explained, then they are the first ones to die. Giving them a weapon that forces them to sit back makes it so that people will genuinely play more of a support role, which is what the medic is for. Supporting your teammates by giving them health and picking them back up. Me, I really enjoy the medic class on BF1. I'm not hating on BF3 and BF4 because I liked them better then BF1, but I think BF1 got there medic right. From experience, I've seen blueberries revive more on BF1 then they had on previous Battlefields.
3:15 How do you think that the medic weapons will get better at close range? The damage gets increased at mid to long range and spread doesnt really matter at close range. They will in fact get weaker cause the other weapons get even stronger at close range.
i think the new medic rifle in the next DLC is really good, Might have too much recoil and the sights are sort of weird, but it definitely suites my play stile(i use the CTE)
When you run out of weapon catagories, maybe do best maps in the game. I would be really interested in seeing what the community thinks are the best maps
I personally like the ranged combat style the medic. It feels more immersive also both it and the assault class are the classes I'm best at/ have the most fun playing.
You can succeed with any rifle. Small mag/slow reload? Time your reloads. Low range? Pick your firefights wisely. Slow rate of fire? Work on Accuracy. IMO/facts
I think the RSC is going to be one of the more favorite rifles once the new patch comes out. I love it already and after the Patch it's going to be a two-hit kill out to 70 M and its ROF is being increased.
I love the medic class but the most frustrating thing for me is how inconsistent some of the guns are I tend to use the cei rigotti a lot because of the dual modes and the range it offers but the clip size is absolutely pathetic if you miss a couple shots or come across 2-3 people you’re gone. I’ve come to hate the 1907 sweeper I hate it has pathetic range but hood damage dual modes and a decent clip of the cei had that clip I’d be happy
Honestly I figured the Farquar-Hill wouldnt have made #2, it IS a good gun and I do like it. But I still like the 1907 SLR a lot better. I dont really like the Sweeper model, but shot for shot, the Farquar-Hill is better for long range but at medium to close range, the 1907 can fire FASTER and ultimately win more gun fights that way. The Mondragon is also a really good rifle, it's great for mid-long range but it's not hard to get in close in BF1 and it starts to lack there. The Selbstaladder M1916 easily beats for the most part all around, especially the Factory model. More ammo, very accurate, etc. But the Cei-Rigotti can easily whoop both because the ability to go full auto and still be insanely accurate. I use the Cei-Rigotti Factory but the Optical and even the Trench variant are still quite formidable. I get it, these lists are based on votes but I dont think people consider all the factors when they vote it seems. The Fedorov makes sense to be the #1 gun because it tends to dominate most Medic guns at close range and sometimes at mid range. While it has the highest ROF of any Medic gun atm, the 1907 SLR Sweeper can easily match the Fedorov if not on ROF but for damage output. Rarely does the Fedorov beat me at the mid range fight if I have the 1907, at close range it can go either way but again it often loses.
Best for me is the Selbstlater 1916 Marksman, killing targets at 3 shots at all distances. 25 round magazine. Good accuracy, slow rate of fire. True DMR. Federov is best CQB by far.
Would be nice if every poor medic, like me, could use the Fedorov Avtomat. I remember once picking it up from a teammate on Monte Grappa, it was amazing. I believe I went on a 10 player killstreak which was quite impressive for a weapon I had never used before. I wish Dice decides to make some DLC weapons avaiable to all players when the game has aged a bit more.

I think you just press the button you use to inject dead teammates or maybe you need to hold that button for a bit. Having the same issue myself

You missed the biggest draw of the Mondragon! 3 shot kill at any range, if not a 2 shot. 10 bullets is plenty for that. So reliable at range

It's vital to the gameplay that medic can be up close and personal with their team mates - Fedorov is a step in the right direction to encourage more medics to do that but imho I've always relied on the Autoloading 8.25 extended. It's a wee bit weak atm since cqb is dominated by Hellreigels and Automaticos but hopefully a buff should give combat medics and the team they support a better chance

The Fedorav isn't an assault rifle. It's using a full power cartridge (admittedly it isn't on par with rifle cartridges you'd see being used by most Western powers but it's still a full power cartridge). The Fedorav would be more accurately described as an automatic rifle like the BAR but it isn't technically an assault rifle.

Andrei, it's not a full power cartridge. The 6.5mm Arisaka round falls into the higher end of modern standards for INTERMEDIATE rounds like the 5.56x45mm NATO and the 7.62x39mm Russian. The Federov Avtomat fulfils all modern requirements for an Assault Rifle, including a detachable magazine which was a feature of the weapon but almost never used in combat due to manufacturing restrictions.
I did research the round some time ago to this exact argument, and although I have not got the exact research right in front of me again, interestingly, 6.5mm Arisaka, actually falls into both weight and velocity requirements for intermediate rounds, barely, one point, I believe the powder, was within intermediate margins by a single point, but it was still within the margin.
This means, in 1917, the Federov Avtomat was the world's first Assault Rifle, well before the prototypes of the STG-44, the MkB-42, were created in 1942.
A fix for the medic class- 10 points for “crippling” someone, and an extra ten if that person goes to the spawn screen, which would be officially killing them. However if revived by a medic, only the 10 points for “crippling” that person is received. A death also will not count unless the “crippled” player goes to the spawn screen. “Crippled” refers to when a player has been killed but there is still an opportunity for them to be revived, and have not yet gone to the spawn screen.

GenericSlick I prefer the Sjögren. The inconsistent shotgun damage means you frequently have to use two shots with most of the shotguns so only having two is basically living on death row.

Played with the Rigotti gun to get the Federov and as soon as I got it, I went from averaging 10-15 kills a game to getting 25-30+ a game. Best gun hands down because its like the only fully automatic rifle for the class.

I’ve been slaying snipers at 200-300 yards no problem with the trench fedorov, and up close 90% of the time you are victorious.
Best medic rifel for PS4 by far is Mondregon Sniper with 2.5 scope. You are really competitive in all ranges. So quick and yet you have the ability to take out more than 1 person. Love it!
Farquhar is second? HOW?? It's such garbage atm. Bullets just go into the abyss after 20m
Alek Wester Try planting your feet still when you're shooting - walking makes it spread more than the Cei Rigotti and its ADS is good enough to not miss any shots within something like 55m if I remember the value correctly.
I love the Farquhar, but I can agree it's not really a competitive weapon. It's damage drop off at range is awful and it's iron sights along with the spread are some of the worse. Hopefully it becomes a really good gun in the TTK patch when they buff those problems. Right now, it's most effective for flanking and taking out multiple Infantry at once because of its magazine. I use it a lot and do really good with it. Usually do better then 40-10 most games with it, but it isn't that good of a gun. Again, hopefully it gets buffed because it like how it feels and looks.

tbh I'm completely OK with its damage. What I absolutely hate is how inaccurate it is at range. It's certainly a bugged weapon -- as westie said bullet go over iron sights more than intended I believe? That's the problem. If I see an enemy in ~100m I shoot all the bullets directly at him and no damage
You are just not great at using it... every gun has people who go ham with it.
Don't understand why people thought that the medic rifles in BF 1 needed a buff, They are already generally overpowered compared to the other classes weapons imo.
The rifles' effective ranges don't coincide with the purpose of the class (front line reviving and healing).
It's why the federov is extremely popular.

A lot of the medic rifles are really ineffective to an extent at range and have really bad damage drop offs. The Farquhar Hill for example can take up to 4-5 shots at longer ranges to kill someone and it has terrible accuracy, mostly do to its sights.
Have you tried firing the Selbslader 1916 marksman at long range pre-patch? The bullets don't even fly straight on the first shot, notice-able when firing beyond 120 or so meters and actually becomes a serious issue at about 200m when you literally cannot seem to hit anyone with a direct aimed shot.
They are getting an accuracy buff mostly.

I'm loving the Mondragon Sniper right now, and Sebslader OPtical is awesome. They both outdo the basic Scout loadout due to being semi-auto.

When I first got the fedorav optical(which was the other day so I’m still trying find the best way to play) I play it more as a burst fire so I don’t have a shit done of recoil

We already know which shotgun is going to win, the Model 10 A, and I'm not surprised at all, the slug variant is so good IMO, gives you that bit of range as an assault player.
Model 1900 slug is awesome. You need to be accurate but its fast fire rate and damage make OT a force to be reckoned with.
Great Video. I love these best weapon lists. I was surprised to see the Mondragon beating the Stebstalater *the one with 26 rounds. The Marksman variant is my personal best with almost 2,500 kills with it. If you can get the rhythm down and be accurate, it dominates the medium-long range engagements.
Medic class is already good enough, some people may find it polarizing but I think it is the most versatile class. You can play solo or play with a squad with one of the most important jobs. The guns are very nice, no restrictions to range as long as the shots are on target.
I was hoping to see why you or the community think that the Farquhar-Hill is such a good weapon. I played it quite a few times but I don't really get along with it. What am I missing, why is it so special?

Well I think the best medic weapon besides the Avtomat is the Selbstlader M1916, it got 26 rounds and 3BTK, so no need for the Farquhar-Hill in my opinion...
If you now how to use it you can snipe from 200m to 0m.
For Long range I go selbslader 1916 optical or the 1906 and for CQC I go Fedorov (of course) or the autoloading extended. Medic is my fav class
model 1900 slug is so owerpowered, the range on that thing is astounding

I love the look of it and that's why it's my favorite so far. It's pretty under balanced at the moment though with the TTK at range and accuracy of it do to its sights, so I am hoping it gets more love in the TTK buff.
I honestly enjoy during the Liu Rifle immensely. Always had a nice feel and easy to get those 2/3 shot kills.

The medic class makes perfect sense to me and is way more balanced not having the best overall class of weapon in the game. SLRs fit the medic class really well in my opinion, because what are medics supposed to do? Sit back and revive anyone that falls in front of them. Making SLRs perfect for that play style. As a medic, you are supposed to let the assaults and supports go first, while you sit back and cover them from behind. If they fall, then you'll be able to easily pick them up. It forces you more to play your role then it did on BF3 and BF4 from my experience. BF3 and BF4 with medics having the best overall weapon, assault rifles, medics were running into the battle first and were either to distracted from playing there class because they were getting kills, or were the first ones to die because they were usually the first ones to rush in, which defeats the point of being a medic. As a medic, if you are the first one in and one of the first to die in a scenario, then you are utterly useless. A dead medic is no good medic. On BF1, medics need to sit in the back and play more cautiously with their currently class weapons, SLRs, kind of forcing more people to take advantage of reviving allies, because they are usually behind the guys going in first. A medic in general should not be the first one in. Why? As I already explained, then they are the first ones to die. Giving them a weapon that forces them to sit back makes it so that people will genuinely play more of a support role, which is what the medic is for. Supporting your teammates by giving them health and picking them back up. Me, I really enjoy the medic class on BF1. I'm not hating on BF3 and BF4 because I liked them better then BF1, but I think BF1 got there medic right. From experience, I've seen blueberries revive more on BF1 then they had on previous Battlefields.
3:15 How do you think that the medic weapons will get better at close range? The damage gets increased at mid to long range and spread doesnt really matter at close range. They will in fact get weaker cause the other weapons get even stronger at close range.

i think the new medic rifle in the next DLC is really good, Might have too much recoil and the sights are sort of weird, but it definitely suites my play stile(i use the CTE)

I personally like the ranged combat style the medic. It feels more immersive also both it and the assault class are the classes I'm best at/ have the most fun playing.
You can succeed with any rifle. Small mag/slow reload? Time your reloads. Low range? Pick your firefights wisely. Slow rate of fire? Work on Accuracy. IMO/facts
I think the RSC is going to be one of the more favorite rifles once the new patch comes out. I love it already and after the Patch it's going to be a two-hit kill out to 70 M and its ROF is being increased.
I love the medic class but the most frustrating thing for me is how inconsistent some of the guns are I tend to use the cei rigotti a lot because of the dual modes and the range it offers but the clip size is absolutely pathetic if you miss a couple shots or come across 2-3 people you’re gone. I’ve come to hate the 1907 sweeper I hate it has pathetic range but hood damage dual modes and a decent clip of the cei had that clip I’d be happy
Honestly I figured the Farquar-Hill wouldnt have made #2, it IS a good gun and I do like it. But I still like the 1907 SLR a lot better. I dont really like the Sweeper model, but shot for shot, the Farquar-Hill is better for long range but at medium to close range, the 1907 can fire FASTER and ultimately win more gun fights that way.
The Mondragon is also a really good rifle, it's great for mid-long range but it's not hard to get in close in BF1 and it starts to lack there. The Selbstaladder M1916 easily beats for the most part all around, especially the Factory model. More ammo, very accurate, etc. But the Cei-Rigotti can easily whoop both because the ability to go full auto and still be insanely accurate. I use the Cei-Rigotti Factory but the Optical and even the Trench variant are still quite formidable.
I get it, these lists are based on votes but I dont think people consider all the factors when they vote it seems. The Fedorov makes sense to be the #1 gun because it tends to dominate most Medic guns at close range and sometimes at mid range. While it has the highest ROF of any Medic gun atm, the 1907 SLR Sweeper can easily match the Fedorov if not on ROF but for damage output. Rarely does the Fedorov beat me at the mid range fight if I have the 1907, at close range it can go either way but again it often loses.

Best for me is the Selbstlater 1916 Marksman, killing targets at 3 shots at all distances. 25 round magazine. Good accuracy, slow rate of fire. True DMR. Federov is best CQB by far.

Would be nice if every poor medic, like me, could use the Fedorov Avtomat. I remember once picking it up from a teammate on Monte Grappa, it was amazing. I believe I went on a 10 player killstreak which was quite impressive for a weapon I had never used before. I wish Dice decides to make some DLC weapons avaiable to all players when the game has aged a bit more.
