Western Bass VI medley 2

- This medley is all Country/Western with no surf, which displeases me although I didn't think the surf tunes fit my arrangement. I also left in my squeaks and mistakes because we all make them and there's no shame in that. I will practice the next one more to of course produce as few as possible bunk notes but I also like being surprised when I listen to music.
Thank you everyone for being so supportive of the first BassVI medley video. It's my favorite instrument and I don't practice it enough.

This is great! Instant sub! I love the hybrid picking bass + melody.
@@FizzyP thank you so much!! I really like doing Bass VI videos, this is encouraging me to make more 🤘
Walk the line is so amazing. Rhythm guitar, Lead guitar and Bass all in one
Thank you, and that’s what attracts me to this style. Guitar can do it all, and certainly the Bass VI is no different!
Brilliant - love it squeaks and all!
@@VonStromberg thank you! Leave the squeaks in! Honestly, I never learn these medleys perfectly. I get them to where they work enough and then I release them to the fate of TH-cam. So glad you enjoyed it! 🤘
Love anything on a Bass VI that isn't modern metal or The Cure covers! Have mine coming in the mail this week and I'm def gonna sit down and try a few of these. Nice playing!
Thank you so much, I’m really into the instrument and it’s true that it can do so much more than what is currently trendy. I recommend trying anything too, capos really work well with these if you want to keep your open strings going!
Awesome, been thinking about picking up one of these weird little basses. Your videos have fully convinced me. Rock on my dude!! Yeeeee haw!
Bro!! Owning the bass xi content
Let's start a Spaghetti Western band, but with fuzz wah
@@abetreblebass Down. Call ourselves "Boston Molasses Disaster"

This is awesome. I am going to sit down and figure these out. Big ups for playing Buck Owens and Frankie Lane.
Right on man thank you I’m honored! If you need clarity on anything I did in there just ask and I’ll explain!
@@abetreblebass I haven’t tried picking this out yet, but how do you manage the bass line plus melody? I used to play classical guitar, but always knocking out roots and fifths with a pick seems like a different ballgame
@@richtudor8547 ok so I’ll tell ya, it’s hybrid picking mostly. I pick all the bass notes and the melodies are almost all middle or ring finger. You can strum a melody note with a chord which of course takes care of your bass note too, but sparingly. Both parts get reduced to basics, and the last thing is rhythm is most important so if I can’t make it work rhythmically in a position I’ll find the same chord somewhere else and try to work it there. Helps to practice the bass part separately in the position you’ve decided upon.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thats good
Grazie!!!
Great stuff!! Bravo!!
Thank you sir!!
Really great stuff👍👍👍
Thanks pardner!!
But that train keeps a rolling on down to San Antone
That's what tortures me!
That must be quite a small horse that you're sitting on 🐴
