The B-wing was at the top of my wishlist! But I was 12, and there was this girl…. Finally bought one as an adult, MIB. So I can totally relate to your zeal! Congrats, bro!
Damn, that card back is amazing, Royal Guard's are one of my favorites. They just stand out and look awesome. The B Wing is beautiful also. Your enthusiasm is the main reason your videos are so great!!
ERGs are great figures! Love the look of them. And the B-Wing is huge & an absolute gem in the Kenner line. Thanks for watching, man! Kenner keeps me young 🤘🏻
Ur enthusiasm for the B-wing (maybe the top & bottom shape gave it the name) is terrific. I’d be excited for a ship in that great of a condition as well. That’s how I feel about the figures collectively. Although the 1st 12 & the last 17, are the most sought after. Maybe with age comes an even better appreciation for our original vintage.
Love the B-Wing! Such an amazing ship/toy. Truly jazzed to finally add her to my collection. I feel you on the figures. They are the true meat and potatoes of the Kenner line. Accept no substitutes.
That is beyond sweet! =D The B-wing was my "Always wanted, never had" holy grails as a kid. And even the pilot too! I always made noises as well during play times. It's just what one does. XD Think I drove my old folks nuts doing it to Star Wars, G.I. Joes and Transformers. I also fondly remember the cards from back in the day. My cousin had a lot of the Star Wars ones, and I had ESB.
Thanks bro! I actually did think of you when I was uttering those words. True story as I know that’s where your handle originates from 👍🏻🤣 Super stoked about this pickup!
Hi, from the web: During production for Return of the Jedi, two new Rebel fighters were created and simply labeled A fighter and B fighter. Visual effects artist Bill George had a lot of input on the B fighter, and it received the nickname the Bill-wing. Star Wars Legends eventually called the ship the Blade-wing for its swordlike appearance in attack mode. The Star Wars Rebels episode Wings of the Masters brought the name into canon. So we can assume the B stands for Blade.
Appreciate you relaying all this great information to me about our beloved B-Wing. Fascinating history behind every aspect of the original Star Wars trilogy. I love finding out new info about these films and the toys that Kenner gave us. Thank you.
I was just as excited like if I was the one opening the box. I’ve never owned the B Wing, but it’s still such a cool ship. I just recently found out that the B Wing shoots like the Death Star all 3 canons combine into 1 when firing!
Love this video! I had a vintage B-wing as a kid but along with the rest of my vintage vehicles I lost it years ago...I got another vintage B-wing earlier this year and to compliment this I got a vintage TIE interceptor, which I never had as a kid, yesterday!...there is no try!
No brother from another mother. I was 32 or 33 years old when i bought my Power of the Jedi B-wing on the Belgian coast city Ostend. It has no Electronic sounds but er was a Sulustian B-wing pilot in the B-wing box that a have in the basement of my house. I don,t mis the Electronic sound it still is a nice spaceship It is in display in my room. Stil look at the B-wing every day when a wake up.👍👍👍 the 3 thumps up is also for your nice B-wing.
Awesome. And love how the seller packed this amazing ship. That is how it should be. Hate when sellers throw these amazing pieces of toy history in a box and they get damaged. Again my friend thumbs up to you sir. Roy
Thanks, Roy! I wholeheartedly agree with you. These toys are old and should be handled with care. Heck, even Hasbro ships things like garbage sometimes. So it’s nice when this happens, proper packing/shipping 👍🏻
@@GQJedi It sure is and should always be like that. Let keep our 🤞🏻 for all our upcoming purchases being packed like this. I got a lot of stuff in today. I got rid of a pile of modern Star Wars stuff since I am not into that. I thought I was when I bought it but it didn't give me that nostalgia the vintage Kenner does. I traded the huge AT AT from the vintage collection with 5 modern Stormtroopers and a Darth Vader for a super nice X Wing, 3 super clean minirigs and more than 20 mint figures inclusing Barada, Han last 17 (without the block but still awesome), 3 Stormtroopers, Luke Jedi, Boba Fett and lots of other great figs. You'll see them in the upcoming collection tour. Still waiting on 3 pieces to arrive before I do the tour. Hope you like since it is not only Star Wars that I collect but hope you do. Your a great guy by the way😉🤞🏻👍🏻🤘🏻
@@SoundwaveNL1977 I feel you about the modern. Just not my thing. Sold all mine off 3 years to start collecting Kenner. Best thing I ever did! Congrats to you, man! Sounds like you did the right thing for you and your passion. Awesome! Stoked for ya! As always, thanks for chatting and sharing :))
@@GQJedi Not thanks bro and thanks lol😉. Can't wait to see your review of the Battle Wagon. You live in LA right? My sister lover there as well. Haven't spoken to her for a while but if we ever visit LA we could meet up. 👍🏻👍🏻😉

The B Wing is awesome! Would look killer with a nice display stand. I relate to you on having experiences with poorly packaged toys! The other day Rebo, snootles and the keyboard arrived. Loose 8x8 cardboard box. Figures were loose with no packing! Nothin! I was shocked. Luckily no damage.
She’s a beautiful ship. Another solid addition from Kenner. Glad you’re stuff arrived safe and sound. Sellers should always ship Star Wars toys with care. No question.
Awesome! Love the way the cockpit rotates with gravity..if you know what I mean. I know the feeling of getting a ship, I got a Snowspeeder with its pink box. Very exciting.
The B-wing is one more favorite rebel star fighters. And I have my reasons. I was lucky enough to purchase mine in a box when visiting FAO Schwarz in NY. It was there in the wooden cabinets in the antique section. I got it for a steal as it was packed without any cannons and had a split in the canopy. I managed to get $50 knocked off the asking price. They were selling it as a MIB item which was a bit of a porky. It felt great coming back to the UK slipping that box in the overhead luggage compartment on the plane. I got some looks I could tell you. So glad you have it in your collection too. And having that B wing pilot is also ace! I understand it is named simply because The A wing fighter is abbreviated A Star fighter (AS/F) and the B wing follows on (BS/F) the B Star Fighter. Boring explanation I know. Look forward to seeing it in a full review soon. I guess in side profile It kind of looks like a letter B??🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Great story! The B-Wing is an amazing ship. Stands for “Blade” wing. Makes sense. Just found out. Stay tuned for that review in the future, my friend. Enjoy your day!
Hey, I never had a B-Wing, but I have a couple pilots here that want one (or two). Your story reminds me of my A-wing acquisition. I found the A-wing pilot in a flea market some years back, but the vendor would not sell it to me unless I bought the A-Wing fighter as well. At the time I was only looking to complete my set of figures, not the vehicles and playsets. She would only sell them as a set. I went home and thought about it for a week after consulting a few price guides and doing some research. Then I went back and made a deal with her. I was a little unsure at the time, but now very happy I made the deal. A-wing pilot with bonus ship. just like you got a B-wing with bonus pilot! Why does it look like a B? My guess is that it looks like a lower case b when you fold it up and look at it from the side. Either that, or you have to imagine the curved part of a B being invisible when it's open, and igore the wing on the opposite side. Then you have to ask yourself "does the alphabet even apply in this galaxy?" We've seen some of their writing and I don't recall seeing any "B's" Anyway, that ship was super cool. I did play with one at least once as a kid and it drove my imagination up the wall. The self leveling cockpit had me rethink how a spaceship works in 0 G and I wondered why all the ships didn't do that! Fun stuff!
Wow, that ship was massive! And speaking of different packing metodes, once I received an action figur just wrapped in some boubble wrapping and brown packing tape 😁 Another time, the seller had just jamed down a He Man figure in a regular envelope. Now, back to the video; What a nice little extra piece whit that Royal guard card back. But why was the two figures on the checklist blacked out? -Where they "secret" figures yet to come, and Kenners way to keep you interested and to hype things up?
Ship is massive. And folks should take care when shipping Kenner. Yes - Blacked out Ewoks, Kenner keeping a secret for George Lucas before ‘Return of the Jedi’ came out!

Thats a great looking ship, and its giant. I never had one as a kid but do have one in my collection now. The only drawback is it can be one of the tougher ones to display. I highly recommend getting a stand for this ship, theres some really good ones out there for vertical or horizontal display.
