There's so many bands out there that sound great but even better live and I truly believe that bandmaid sounds great on record but their live shows are an experience!

Yes, Miku sings. She was the original Lead Vocalist and could not play guitar yet. Look again. She's holding it as a prop. But she also founded the band. She worked in a Maid Cafe and won an idol contest. She soon tired of being an idol and took her idea of Hard Rocking Maids to a label. But she wanted dual vocals and her voice wasn't strong enough for the image she had in mind. She does have some songs where she sings lead, like 'Rock In Me' and 'Sayonakidori'. But had their, very first MV, not gone viral the label was going to fire the musicians and turn the singers into DANCE-MAID. Miku and Saiki cried, "We did not come to Tokyo for this!" But it got re-posted on a J-Rock Facebook page. Their own Facebook page blew up so fast they thought it had been hacked! Speaking of voices, Saiki eventually had throat surgery. After she had it done she wondered why she had waited so long. It turned out so well, Miku had it done as well.

The song that saved the band! The label was going to pull the plug if this MV didn't get some traction. Thankfully, a J-rock Facebook group posted it to their page, and it took off! Miku, the backup singer, is the founder of the group and came up with the maid concept as she used to work in a maid cafe. She originally was going to be lead but felt her voice didn't match with the heavy sound she wanted. Back then, she didn't even know how to play guitar. She's not playing at all in this MV! So since she wasn't going to be lead, she decided to be the rhythm guitarist instead! Konami taught her!

The road is long and filled with great music from these amazing ladies! Enjoy the ride! This video saved the band from being broken up by their label when it went viral. The next real milestone song is "Alone", the first song written and arranged completely by Band-Maid that was allowed onto a album. They never looked back after that!
Damn! What a scary situation that Bands go through man. "If this song sucks you're not making anymore money". Record labels are crazy however im glad that it saved them. This song is super catchy and Groovy. I definitely enjoyed this listen and I'm putting alone on the list!

Yea, back in 2017 Saiki had surgery for vocal cord polyps, her voice has matured and improved since then, she is very careful with her voice now, the band has a handful of instrumentals that they do about halfway thru a concert, and Miku has a few songs she sings to give Saiki a break
Like me, you seem to like the melodic rock and groove. Here are the other top Maid tracks from my playlist. These are ONLY the classic rock/groove/funky/melodic songs. They have harder metal, instrumentals, pop punk, cinematic rock, progressive rock, alternative rock and ballads, and acoustics. Yeah. They are no joke. “DICE” “Don’t you tell ME” “Manners” “Play” “the non-fiction days” “Bubble” “Turn Me On” “FATE” “Clang” “Choose Me” “I can’t live without you “Freezer” None of these are unfamiliar tracks or deep cuts. Every Band Maid fan could tell you exactly which albums they are from and what their favorite parts of each song are. If a live version is available, always choose that. Some are audio only, but completely reaction worthy (particularly “Freezer,” which I believe would be right up your alley) 👍🏽
