'Caramello' is my favourite lipstick shade of all time! and the formula is amazing.. glad you mentioned it! it's so underrated while everybody else is obsessed with 'Patina'
first off, love the pale skin series! i have found it immensely helpful in my pursuit of flattering makeup. second, i would recommend mac cyber. as a deep purple it really makes my pale skin and blue eyes pop, and it makes my teeth look whiter!

I myself have very pale skin and prefer shades in plum and deeper nude as well. The lipsticks I would suggest would be Victoria's Secret Velvet Matte: Cream Lip Stain in the color Drama which is one of those darker plums and Marc Jacobs' lip creme lipstick in Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.

I can actually pull off black lipstick, but I also have black hair - I think it's probably harder for blondes to make it work, but a color that is near black like UD Blackmail can give the same effect without being quite so jarring - I also will really only wear black when out clubbing, definitely a night time look for me.

Yes girl! MAC's Blankety is everything a nude should be, definitely one my top favorite nudes. I just recently purchased one of the Make up For ever Artist Rouge lipsticks in C104 Praline Beige and it's gorgeous on my pale skin, a peachy nude with an ultra pigmented formula similar to the NARS Audacious lipsticks. I've been wearing it constantly since I purchased it. Also I have heard that C105 Grege Beige is very similar to Blankety so it's on my list to get next. YSL Rouge Pur Couture 10 Beige Tribute, MAC Modesty, MAC Faux, and NARS Audacious in Anita are some other favorites that imo would look beautiful on you. I really dislike the mac retro matte formula. I have ruby woo and it's fine once it's on, but actually applying it is such a nightmare. It tugs at my lips and i don't really know how people apply it. I usually end up applying it over lip balm but then there isn't as much colour payoff haha

A great list for me to investigate! With red lips, I love mac Chili and Dubonnet. One of the only berry colours that flatters me is Rimmel 30 in the Kate Moss long lasting range. I struggle sooo much with reds and berries! mac Modesty is also a nice neutral mauvey creamsheen

You missed one of the best nudes ever for pale skin Bow and Arrow from Kat Van D is the perfect shade for pretty much anyone. A really good dark nude is Brooklyn Thorn from NYX Liquid Suede it's like the perfect dark grayish nude. And of course Pure Hollywood but ABH is one of the most versatile lip colours out there, on me it's a cool toned mauvey nude but on my middle eastern friend it's a warm terracotta like nude on her. My two favorite glosses for pale skin is ABH lip gloss in Metallic Rose and the essence lip gloss in Frosted Pink. As for coloured shades that's a preference thing myself I like Kat Von D in Witches or ABH in Potion but black and almost blacks are too harsh for for most people but I love it. Oh and the Kat Von D one is pronounced Bah-House it's one of my favorite bands.

Any specific nude Mac lipsticks suggestions anyone? I love the shade blankety mentioned but I find too pinky or peach shade not fluttering on myself. Although I wish I could were those shades. Katherine I cannot recommend Brave by MAC enough!! It's my all time favourite lipstick!! Or if you like more warmer shades try Velvet Teddy (nude warm brown on me but can lean pink) or Mehr for a little bit of a darker nude :)
MAC's Modesty and Faux are both beautiful choices along with the two previously mentioned Brave and Syrup. I've purchased all my MAC online as well because of the same reason you mentioned. I have found that the online pics don't do any of the shades justice. I have all four in my collection and all are among my favorites from MAC. I mainly purchase from Nordstrom because it's always free shipping, samples, and easy/free to return or exchange by mail if you don't like it. Good luck in your search :)
