    I am 6ft9in and very happy that Honda made the seats very low to the floor in this Civic. I test drove the regular Sport Hatch without sunroof and I actually have decent room. My problem is that I need to get better at manual. I don't stall anymore but my shifts are pretty jerky. Buying mine in July and will need to practice manual on it right away

      Thank you for this insight: I'm sure this is helpful information for taller prospective buyers! You'll get manual down with practice, so don't sweat it.

    I'm getting mines this year just saving up a bit more money for a juicy down payment. Will be modifying the car to look more sporty for sure and sound way nastier. I just love the overall look and feel of the car when i test drove it myself. Its gonna be my first ever car too.

      Mr.Moa i’m not super familiar with all the extra details of my vehicle yet since I typically drive it in econ mode (boring I know lol). but i’d say all modes of the vehicle are smooth and fun. throwing it into sport is definitely a good time though

    • @cstrx11

      Mr.Moa it’s not bad. The hatch and the si both have a turbo with small turbine and it spools up really fast.

    I wish Honda went away from the CVT’s and went with more manuals on these trims I love seeing the Sport Touring in a manual. Seems like all the dealerships I’ve been to they’re CVT...

    You should never sit a red lights with the clutch pushed in the whole time. Wears outs clutches prematurely. Sit in neutral.

    • @Sedonalegendhelenfrye
      @Sedonalegendhelenfrye 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well..... we have a 2001 Honda Civic EX coupe, I always leave the clutch pressed to floor at lights, the car has 250,000 miles on it, original clutch, never been touched, shifts like new. Dealer said the clutches on these last forever. Bought car new.

    • @BW-kv9wj
      @BW-kv9wj 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Sedonalegendhelenfrye Wow. I’m surprised your clutch has lasted that long. If you sit at red lights in neutral, the clutch will never wear out. It will last indefinitely. But, 250,000 mikes with it pressed at lights says Honda’s last a very long time.

    • @BW-kv9wj
      @BW-kv9wj 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Sedonalegendhelenfrye My 92 Toyota truck has 500,000 miles. Original clutch. When you shift, don’t press the clutch all the way to the floor. Just enough to engage it and shift into gear smoothly. I learned this from a driving class in the military. So I never forgot it.

    Southpoint bro that’s not from his foot work these 10th Gen civics come off the lot with with factory programmed rev hang which deals with emissions bull crap, but if he were
    to get hondata or k tune and flash the ecu with a tune that eliminates rev hang then it wouldn’t sound like that.

    • @MilesPerHr
      @MilesPerHr  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Too bad the new SI comes with an L series non-Vtec turbo 1.5 (aka, Honda Fit engine). Kinda a slap to the face for the SI lineup.

    • @cstrx11
      @cstrx11 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      BallistaTheDeer it’s an L15B7 engine. But it has not much in common with the fit/jazz engine. The Si has has a modified L15B7 from the hatchback, but with tougher internal components, for example connecting rods.

    • @BallistaTheDeer
      @BallistaTheDeer 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cstrx11 Ah, that's a bit better. Glad to hear Honda did at least something instead of sticking a Fit/Jazz engine in an Si. But still, why no K series and/or Vtec? Doesn't feel like an Si to me, almost feels like Honda's Toyota Corolla S with a manual-only option.
