I just found your video and it is the best teaching video I have seen. I just got my cricut, and am having a hard time because all the other turorials go too fast,,,, so thank you so much!!!!
Omg I am so glad I subscribed to your TH-cam channel. You are the best to explain I just need to buy a cricut. I have 7 children and getting a cricut will save me so much money.
Thank you vert much for this video. It is the best one I've seen because it's SO easy to understand every step of the way. I've saved it to my bookmarks because I don't want to lose it. I will definitely be following it from now on!
Great video! I'm just getting started with my Cricut and it was very helpful to have such an instructive and concise video to help me along. Thank you!
There is a tack cloth you can purchase in any paint dept that will remove all sanding dust. It is good for more than one use as long as you reseal it after each use, so it doesn't get dirty or dry out. A 'must have' item for woodworkers or refinishers
Hi Chris! I love your color and design on this one! You mentioned at the end of this video that you had a video on how to add a wood frame to your piece. I wasn’t able to find that video on your channel, can you tell me which one it is? Thank you, Connie
can you show a video just like this but with vinyl letters not stencil? i am just learning and can't find that anywhere. on the 2 i tried the letters were way to thin and peeled off. ty
Yes, you want to make sure your fonts are for commercial use, as well as images. That's one of the reasons I love font bundles / design bundles. You don't have to search to find out what's what. They're all commercial use and their terms are clearly explained. If purchasing off of Etsy or other sites, make sure it's not for personal use only. Hope that helps!
Hi! Thank you for the great video. I’m struggling to figure out what size vinyl I need to make for a door hanger size that is 17.5x17.5? Would I still be using the square shape to create the vinyl? I’ve tried to also set vinyl my vinyl to be the size of 9.870 W x 14.17 L and when I go to make it’s telling me it’s to big for my explore. Any ideas ?
So, do I have to have that specific kind of transfer sheet? I tried it with regular vinyl transfer tape and it was a mess.. :’) they wouldn’t come apart!
Yes you could use removable vinyl. Permanent vinyl is a bit too sticky and will peel your base coat of paint or stain up. However I've seen some awesome mistakes with permanent vinyl, the peeled up paint can give it the perfect rustic look
I'm new to this and I've really tried following all the steps to stencil a wood sign, but I'm having one big problem: after I've applied paint over the stencil and I go to pull off the vinyl, my letters that I just painted are getting pulled off too. It's really frustrating and ruins my project. I used a very thin layer of mod podge as suggested to seal the edges of the stencil. Can this happen if I'm using too much paint? Or maybe I should have let it dry longer? I'm at a loss. If anyone has some ideas or advice I'd love to hear it. Thanks!
Ok... I am a tech-not. I need instruction that starts from the very beginning. You lost me in the first 30 seconds. How do I go to design space? Do I need to down load an app? I don't have a computer. Just my samsung android phone. And you say "just go to..." I need to see HOW to go to ____.
the fold the edge and stick technique is the best

As a woodworker, I find that using denatured alcohol and a lint free cloth, like a T-shirt, works best in removing dust and oils.
Thank you for this. I appreciate all you do!
Your videos are so addicting to watch!! Thank you 🙂
Saw you on pinterest. Your stencil video is fabulous. Just subscribed. Thanks for the great tutorial

Such great tips, it turned out perfectly. Thank you for sharing.
I would love to know how to do this on a 24 inch mat

QUESTION: what about copyright on images and fonts if you are making items for resale

I’ve really wanted to learn how to make wooden signs with stencils
It sounds like your transfer tape was too sticky. I usually use clear contact paper or Oracal Transfer tape.
This is maybe a dumb question... but what’s the difference between the stencil vinyl and regular? Could you use regular vinyl to make a stencil?
Yes you could use removable vinyl. Permanent vinyl is a bit too sticky and will peel your base coat of paint or stain up. However I've seen some awesome mistakes with permanent vinyl, the peeled up paint can give it the perfect rustic look

I tried to get your svg it won’t work it won’t go to my e mail
my peel and stick will not come off easy.. it sticks really bad to the contact paper
Awesome job.
So you don't have to slice when making a stencil? Ok
Ok... I am a tech-not. I need instruction that starts from the very beginning. You lost me in the first 30 seconds. How do I go to design space?
Do I need to down load an app? I don't have a computer. Just my samsung android phone.
And you say "just go to..."
I need to see HOW to go to ____.
Yes you would go to the App Store for Android and download The Cricut Design Space App
What if your paper is longer than your mat... In other words your stencil needs to be very long.
Here is a tutorial on how to do that th-cam.com/video/hirD7TzxlxE/w-d-xo.html
