It's probably the closest we'll get to recurring villains and the closest we'll get to a Sinister Six, particularly now that Vulture has hopped into the Venomverse...the list of candidates for a true Six with a shown past relationship with Spidey is disappointingly short (Mac Gargan as either Scorpion or Venom; Mysterio; Shocker; potentially Hydro-Man...that's it for now)

The scene where Tom hugs Tobey and Andrew wasn't scripted, he improvised it. A really nice way of not only thanking them for being in the movie, but also realizing how significant having all three on screen at the same truly was. Tom continues to show why choosing him to carry the mantle was definitely the right choice.

As to why Peter didn't bring May to the paramedics: It's generally always said to not try to move victims. Don't know what all injuries they may or may not have and moving them may just make things worse. It's always best to have paramedics come to the victim. Not saying that Peter in-film necessarily knew this, but in real life you wouldn't want to try to move someone in that condition.

ppl forget Spider-man on top of having super strength. He has speed and super healing abilities. Like a giant spider. BUT Aunt May is still mortal. She got hit at a point where she lost to much blood. Losing a large amount of blood causes shock, organs shut down, and death

The Blind Lawyer is Matt Murdock “A Really Good Lawyer” who also happens to be the vigilante known as Daredevil a Street level hero who’s active in Hell Kitchen and throughout New York City. He first appeared in Daredevil #1 April 1964 just two years after Spider-Man’s first appearance. They’ve worked together for years sharing the common goal of protecting New York from criminals with the Kingpin being a shared villain between Daredevil and Spider-Man.
I honestly don’t blame you for not knowing how massive this reveal was as this is his first appearance within an MCU film so unless you’re heavy into Marvel outside of the MCU you’ll probably have no clue who he was. Daredevil does have his own Netflix show featuring Charlie Cox who returns as Matt in this film wearing the same glasses and overall suit style. The show for years was debated if it took place within the MCU as the show never referenced anything from the movies besides some nods at The New York invasion from The Avengers never commenting on what happened but hinting at something did happen. Avengers tower was also never seen in the Manhattan Skyline the show very much isolated itself from the MCU. But now with Charlie Cox appearing as Matt in No Way Home this pretty much confirms that the Netflix shows are canon to the MCU which is great as Daredevil is such an amazing show highly recommend. I also recommend Frank Miller's Daredevil: The Man Without Fear along with Miller's other Daredevil work.
Flash's book is a Fun little nod to the DC comic Flashpoint which featured Barry Allen (Flash) traveling back in time to prevent Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash, from murdering his mother. As a result, a Butterfly Effect-esque “flashpoint” causing radical changes to the DC Universe. This in a way links to the changes our MCU Peter makes to the villains by “fixing” them he sends them back into newly created universes where they survived which will have many changes from the original universes.
So just the be clear on the villains. They went back to alternate universes, ones where they survived rather than returning to the main universes we saw in the Rami and Webb films. The actions of Peter in this film does not rewrite the Sam Rami or Marc Webb films those still play out exactly the same. Every choice, action, or decision creates a branched universe an infinite amount so like I mentioned instead of rewriting the history of the films the villains are set back into alternated universes which were created once they left/returned. Think of it as tree's with the Main MCU/Rami/Webb being the Tree and the branches being different universes based off the main MCU/Sami/Webb where events played out differently. Same thing applies to the Marvel comic's, games, movies, and shows all have their original universe (Tree) but also branched off versions where choices played out differently but the overall artistic stayed the same. This is why the MCU artistic carries over into the What If series along with the renditions of events from the MCU, character designs, and of course voice actors.
We also have Marvel's Dimensions which act as realms beyond like The Dark Dimension (Hell pretty much) but Marvel also uses the term for the many Spider universes overseen by Madam Web like the Spider-Verse which seems to act more like how DC universes operate different Earths vibrating at different frequency's instead of being liked to time. This just say that Marvel uses all theories of the many Multiverse types which all could be true when looked at from our world. DC of course have 52 Main Earth's but there's no doubt an infinite amount outside of this collection.
Spider-Man 1 to 3 of course still happened but there's now at least two different Sam Rami branch universes one where Goblin didn't die and another where Doc Ock somehow survived by finding a different way to stop his machine. Spider-Man 2 would've played out totally different if Norman was still alive who knows maybe Doc Ock's project could've worked in this universe with the help of Norman instead of Harry who really just funded the projected. Unsure about Sandman he could've just returned to the main Sam Rami universe but you know he's cured now. But if he was pulled out right when he found out Peter was Spider-Man then this would've created another universe one where maybe he no longer could've helped Venom in his fight against Spider-Man making it much easier for Peter. Harry could've also survived as well in this universe.
    Sam Rami Universe's
Main: Spider-Man 1 to Spider-Man 3 (These play out the same)
Alternate Universe 1: Spider-Man 1 (Goblin doesn't die and hopefully carries on with his company but who knows if he'll return to his testing)
Alternate Universe 2: Spider-Man 1 and Spider-Man 2 (Goblin still dies in the universe with Spider-Man 1 playing out the same but in Spider-Man 2 Doc Ock lives and most likely Carries on being good hell maybe he marries Aunt May like in the comic's. No doubt Spider-Man 3 would play out pretty different but who knows.)
    Marc Webb Universe's
Main: The Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2 (These play out the same)
Alternate 1: The Amazing Spider-Man 1 (Lizard is cured early maybe Gwen's Dad doesn't die in this universe depending on when Lizard was pulled out)
Alternate 2: The Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2 (In this universe the first move plays out the same but in the 2nd Electro pretty much survives returning with a new look which no doubt being a big surprise to Peter)
Notes on the people in the sky below
In that shot of the sky being ripped open you can kind of make out a bunch of Spider-Man villains. The one with the Spear is Kraven The Hunter, The character with the long looking stinger is Scorpion, There's a person who looks kind of like Black Cat, We also see a character with a horn who looks like the classic Rhino in that skin tight suit rather than the militant looking mech suit in Amazing Spider-Man 2, Mysterio which i kind of see could be another Mysterio from a different universe, and finally Superior Spider-Man with the tentacles on his back pretty much a story where Doc Ock took over Peter's Body and became Superior Spider-Man.
These are all still up for debate but Mysterio was actually confirmed by Marvel as one of those people in the Sky. Other people think they saw Miles as well a skinny tall humanoid shape which suits his character while other people have brought up Madame Web so there’s a lot of possible hints at future characters.
This is also why time travel works completely different in the MCU compared to other time travel mediums. If you go back in time and kill yourself you simply don’t disappear like we see in Back to the Future but instead you create an alternated universe where you die while your original universes carries on with zero changes. If the Avengers killed Thano’s as a baby this would just create a universe where Thano’s never excited but this doesn’t change anything within the mainline MCU.

The Netflix shows and Agents of Shield all initially started as confirmed canon to the MCU.
AoS diverged into its own separate canon a few years in, but I'm not sure about the Netflix shows. I think Feige eventually disavowed them, so this could be a reversal of that decision, or this particular Matt Murdock could just look exactly the same as the Netflix Universe version, since Charlie Cox met with such approval in the role.

I live in the southern US. Down here, barbecuing is specifically slow-cooking pork shoulder, ribs, etc. with very specific seasoning and/or sauce. Anything else (hot dogs, hamburgers, steak) is cooking out or grilling. The same way any soda down here that isn’t clear is called a Coke. In other states, it’s called a “pop.”

This is why I say to watch things like The amazing Spider-Man even with mixed reactions you can judge for yourself how you feel about it when you watch it, plus when something like this happens it's not a spoiler for people to say you should watch it before you watch this. Even if a movie is epically bad it still has value, the only way a movie doesn't have value is when you're left saying well what was that movie again I completely forgot.

So many people completely miss the GED Prep Manual when reacting. Everyone has forgotten Peter, no record of him exists. Everyone still knows about Spider Man, and The Avengers might remember Spider Man, but none of them will remember Peter Parker ever existed.
At least you were not like several reactors who tried to come up with "make a plan to help you remember" "what about taking pictures together" etc. Because if notes and photos connected to Peter Parker would still exist, Mysterio's recording revealing Spider Man is Peter Parker would still exist. The spell leaves no trace of what it erases.

Matt Murdock / Daredevil is one of spider-man's best buddy superheroes in the comics, as they both fight street / mafia (kingpin) level crime, though spider-man gets into bigger, Avenger level fights because of his power level is far greater. I hope they develop that relationship in the MCU.

Sandman and Electro talking about their origins. Peter, Osborne, and Doc Ock working together as scientists. Doctor Strange and Doc Ock having a small team up moment against Green Goblin. Peter 2 and Doc Ock sharing a moment together. And Peter 3 saving Michelle Jones to redeem himself. Even just the conversations between the 3 Peters.

I can confidently say that this and the Sam Raimi movies is the best Spiderman movies ever, I really like how each villain got a satisfying ending here where they do not die in their Universe so that they have a genuine second chance to make things right. This also means Harry was indirectly saved as he wouldn't have any reasons to go after Spiderman if he still has his father around. I think after this movie there's even more room for Multiverse Spiderman movies to be made.

The 2nd one suffered from extremely bad writing except the ending. Garfield got a raw deal so its nice to see him get another crack at Spidey. And yes Tom's SpiderMan will be in another Spidey trilogy but he's taking a break to focus on his personal life with Zendaya.

The reaction to Andrew Garfield and Tobey McGuire showing up was just like it was at Endgame when the heroes returned. What I liked was that it wasn't just a cameo appearance, and they had both had important roles.
I liked that AG's Spiderman got to save MJ. They way he pulled it off perfectly this time, (being a veteran myself) I can imagine he had the kind of PTS regrets where you find yourself thinking over and over and over again what you could have done differently, wishing you had that chance. And so, in this movie, him finally having a chance at self-redemption, he was able to pull it off exactly.
Speaking of PTS, when Osborne/Green Green shows up at the Statue of Liberty, you see Tobey's eyes go wide when he hears Goblin's voice, as he likely was haunted by it over the 20 years since. When working on the cure in the lab, Tobey's Peter says he 'had been thinking a lot about it' over the last two decades. I liked the mentor role he played, and the way he stopped Tom Holland's Peter from killing Osborne. The way he jumped in with a firm gaze not saying anything or pleading, it was almost as if Holland had became a rageful villain in that moment, and the rage coupled with the physical strength making him dangerous, thus Tobey needed a no-nonsense way of stopping the former before calming him down.
This movie is one of those I enjoy rewatching reactions for, and yours are among the more authentic ones. I'm glad it wasn't spoiled for you, and there were a few in a theatre that hadn't seen AG's movies. Once people finished cheering, my sister was like "Who is this guy..." lol.

Drive-ins have largely died off because the big multiplex theaters sell way more tickets. As with so many things, it comes down to making as big of a profit as possible. However, drive-ins did make a brief comeback during the pandemic, as it was safer to watch a movie within your car than sitting directly next to a bunch of potentially infected strangers with no barriers between you and them. So companies set up temporary drive-ins in parking lots outside movie theaters and malls.

Honestly, my favorite Spider-Man is Andrew Garfield and I think I love The Amazing Spider-Man even slightly more than Spider-Man 2. Amazing Spider-Man 2 is also very underrated, I think, and despite its flaws and conflicting tones, I still love it. I love how all the previous more traditional comic-book Spider-Man movies (Tobey McGuire & Andrew Garfield Spider-Man versions) helped pave the way for a Tom Holland Spider-Man origin story that fans would not have even been ready to sit through years ago. I think the previous movies help make Tom Holland's MCU Spider-Man arc that much more satisfying and effective. I did wonder why Peter would still choose to go back to his school after everyone knows who he is. I would have just stayed home. I find it funny that while Dr. Strange is casting the initial spell that even when things are starting to go haywire and Peter is literally floating off the ground, he is still making exceptions of changes to make to Dr. Strange's spell. A small part of me still honestly wonders if something was a bit odd about Dr. Strange being so quick to agree to cast that initial forgetting spell for Peter. M.J. was right that all this was really Dr. Strange's fault. At the very least, they should have discussed and agreed on everything before the spell even started. It is very fun and telling to see who reacted a lot to seeing Daredevil and who did not react at all, LOL! Now that they are on Disney+, I would highly recommend you watch what used to be called the Marvel Netflix shows, like Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, & Iron Fist, but Daredevil & Jessica Jones first. To me, the 1st act of this movie felt more like a traditional MCU movie & everything after all the villains join Peter at Happy's apartment felt more like a Sony Spider-Man movie. Zack Snyder's Justice League is my #1 movie from 2021 & No Way Home comes a very close #2 with Free Guy being #3. I'm thinking Flash Thompson's book, Flashpoint, had to be either a dig or good-natured reference to DC?? I am excited to see what the MCU Venom will be like. I also wonder if Venom 3 will show Venom searching for Spider-Man, after he returned to his universe. I can understand Aunt May's reasoning for helping save the villains. But, In a way, I also do think Dr. Strange was right that those villains had to die back in their own universe. Their fights with their own respective universe's Spider-Man helps define who that Spider-Man becomes. Every hero needs a villain to fight to help them become the hero they are. The wins and losses all matter to shape the heroes journey.

It appears the. series is 39 episodes and that would constitute about 10 weeks of filming for me to get through the entire series if I only watched that show. But I have to watch at least two movies a month, so it would probably take me 3 or 4 months to get through just the Daredevil Series. I am going to do it though. There seems to be a real passion for that show. Thank you for your terrific post. I'm also planning to watch FREE GUY very soon!

And BTW, Zack Snyder's Justice League was my favorite film of 2021 as well. That, along with Watchmen, are my favorite Superhero movies of all time ❤
