The correct way to clean it is that you put a little bit of water in the container a little dab of dish soap you turn it on just like you’re blending something you start at zero and he move all the way up with a lid on of course and it cleans itself! Then you rinse it out and let it sit upside down on the drying rack to dry. That’s how you properly clean a vitamix
LITERALLY NOTHING ABOUT BLADE AND BEARING REPAIR!!!!
You could have easily fixed your old mix container. Remove the bearings and buy two skateboard bearing from a local shop. It takes about 10 minutes to disassemble the old blade unit and replace the 2 bearings. Thers are several vids on doing this. Just rebuilt mine and works likd new and a hell of a lof cheaper than a new container.

Actually, the new Vitamix Pitcher you've ordered, looks like my parent's Vitamix 5000 one, it has a plastic handle and it looks just like that. You just probably ordered an older model, but should still work fine.
*Never dishwasher; do not wash, not even water!
Bare bearings are carbon steel, and they will rust immediately.

I don't know why it says not to remove the blade Assy. You can replace the Assy. only with your old jar. I would not put the jar with the blade Assy. in the dishwasher. Where did you get the new one from? Are you sure that new one you got is not a knock off? The jar with the blade is almost $200.00 from Vitamix. I have the model 5000 using the original jar and recently had to replace the blade Assy. due to the bearings starting to fail. The most common reason the bearings fail is when the seals fail and allow liquid past and wash out the grease. I try not to leave any liquids in my jar for for very long. I use it, dump it, clean it and put it upside down to dry.

The one without the rubber is identical to my 5000.
NO DISHWASHER. Don’t put REPAIR in the title of a video that is just you showing how you improperly maintained and ruined your container. Lame stuff and spreading bad info.

I bought the same new product, not good.
Why change the entire container, it was only necessary to replace the semmering and 2 bearings😂😂😂

Do not put it in the dishwasher.
I've been putting mine in the dishwasher for many many years and it's not problem at all. Do yourself a favour and just throw it in there. Even if you need to buy a new pitcher every three years, imagine the time you'd save! Just do it!
The new one looks cheap..
