    Hahahha, thanks for the shout out!💜💜My curly textured hair is heavily highlighted and I am a heat tool abuser, so Olaplex has saved my hair. Prior to it being available in retail, my stylist added it to my toner, and what a difference it has made over the years. I have been thrilled with it being available in retail EXCEPT the number issue. I use #3, #6, and #7 every time I was my hair. The #0 I’m not sure how I feel about it, but maybe it’s the silly bottle, which I’m thrilled they changed! I put my product in an extra spray bottle. I also use 6 & 7 daily. I apply a dab of oil prior to flat ironing and mix them together and smooth over my hair to finish. I don’t wash my hair every day so after I work out I use 6/7 to bring it back to life. Olaplex is truly my favorite hair care line. I love #8! It is a fantastic hair mask/deep conditioner. I leave it on for like 30-60 minutes with one of those cheap plastic processing caps. My hair just loves it. Now, I have the shampoo and conditioner, which I use occasionally but I prefer their 4P, AMAZING! It is the best purple shampoo I have ever used. Like all toning shampoos, it’s a smidge drying but that disappears after applying the other 9, 6&7 or 6,7,9🤣🤦🏾‍♀️It does a great job of reducing the brassiness associated with blonde highlights over time. Anyhow, I washed my hair last night, and I didn’t try the serum because I was trying a new product, Drybar liquid glass sealant. So, I’ll add in #9 when I wash my hair next or maybe I’ll add it to my damp hair after working out along with 6 & 7. They really have put themselves in a pickle with their numbering system. Thanks for a great review AND calming my nerves🤣🤣

      Tracie!!! I feel like it’s the number eight that threw it all off! Ha ha that with numbers one and two only being available in the salon and then them trying to retroactively added a zero. What a mess. Question for you from your experience… Should I be using the purple shampoo then? I’m a brunette but I have so many highlights. But that’s what you are describing with your own hair. I’m so curious now. I thought it was just solely for blondes but I guess if we’re highlighting we’re kind of blonde too! Let me know what you think when you try the nine. I was not sold on the zero either but I am glad to see that they have changed out the bottle. And, to be honest, the three never did anything but when it’s combined with the zero, for me, it’s really a great experience. I used to the new nine a few days ago and my hair still feels just washed so I’m gonna be really curious what you think of it.

    • @traciewarren1070

      @@NotFitforPrintBeauty YES, use the purple shampoo. I thought they same thing, I’m not a natural blonde, so it does t make sense, but it does. It also helps if you have any stray pesky grays hanging around like an unwanted guest. The Olaplex version is the best I’ve used. It does contain toning properties so all of them are drying but the Olaplex isn’t nearly as bad as others. With other purple shampoos, they stain so badly you need to shampoo with regular shampoo after using the purple shampoo. You don’t need to do that with this one. Olaplex recommends using their 4 before the 4P, so you get those two shampoos. It is worth it and makes a huge difference. Like you, I’m dark haired with lots of blonde caramel highlights so this is a game changer. Only leave on for a couple minutes; otherwise, it will make your hair purple (it washes out after a couple washes). I set a timer for 2 minutes.
      I think I may keep using the 0 because otherwise I have to wet my in the utility sink, apply the 3, then do my routine. I just like spraying the 0 on my hair and letting it sit, then applying the 3. I suppose I could just use water but why not apply something good for the hair.

    • @NotFitforPrintBeauty
      @NotFitforPrintBeauty  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@traciewarren1070 yes! Exactly. The three was such a pain to use. I would have to wet my hair in the sink in the bathroom and try not to drip everywhere just to put on the three. I also tried getting in the shower wetting my hair and then getting out of the shower to put it all on and sit with it for 10 minutes. So much easier when it is wet from the zero product already! Exactly. You can tell they are a salon brand mostly so their thinking is all salon sinks and such. Yes. You’re thinking on the purple shampoo makes perfect sense. So I will get both of those products and give it a try for sure. I have a timer in my shower that I purchased when I started using all this stuff, one of those waterproof timers from Amazon, so I will make sure to set it for two minutes only. I’m excited now. Thank you so much for all of the information. I appreciate it very much.

    Great review. Mine should be coming in soon. I don’t need it all the time but I like once a week. The number 8 I don’t use often at all as it’s inconvenient as you basically have to rough dry your hair then put it on for 10 min then back in the shower to rinse off. I usually cheat and know it’s not as dry as it should be before using it. I don’t have issues but always like preventative means and I do find that it does improve my hair. Love this product.

    Hi dear Rebecca, you hair looks soooo beautiful!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩Loved the video, and especially where nr. 9 is for, i don't have that yet. It's in The Netherlands, but no time to buy it yet as we always move to our little beachhouse every from half april to, approx end september/begin oktober because of my asthma. But i love this brand so much!!! We also have some products from K18 here from Kevin Murphy, love lots of the normal KM products but not K18, prefer so much Olaplex!!! I have thin hair but lots of hair and besides that i do so much to my hair (the hairdresser made balayage 2 weeks ago), my hair is wavy, sometimes only a little bit, sometimes more. But hair that is not (completely) straight needs even more care, my hairdresser always explains. I always mix and match: From Morroccanoil i love their oil, it's my nr. 1 oil, but the other products from them are not nr. 1. I'm addicted to the Olaplex nr. 8 mask, use more times a week after using nr. 4, love it!!! Further i jump Shu Uemura soft stuff in my hair, especially after the balayage. I have sensitive skin. Tried Living Proof, not good, same as Moroccanoil products with the exeption of the Moroccanoil hair oil! I love the 4 in 1 prep spray from IGK, but not the rest of their products. In the lockdown when i could not visit any hairdresser i think i tried, well not all, but so many leave in products, sprays, serums. Also love the Oribe Royal Blowout stuff. I reacted about eyeliners in another video. One day is not the other, and the purpose you have with that day. So when my hair has been done with a balayage treatment, i use more soft stuff from Shu Uemura, and some from O & M. But i love that i can handle Olaplex, it does NOT give a chemical feeling on the head, you call that scalp i believe, but, no matter how much stuff i always mix and match, i always keep using Olaplex products as well, it's so good, love the brand!!! Almost gonna sleep, late here, sorry this is a bit long. Have an amazing day!!!!😘😘😘😘

    Great video. Started using olaplex about 20 months ago. I have fine thick hair. I am now at the point that I’m having to have it colored every 4/6 wks for grey and then highlights. It was starting to get fried. Noticed an immediate difference with olaplex. Totally sold on the products. This is how I use and I’m open to suggestions. Once a week I use the exfoliating shampoo first, towel dry with a hair towel then 0,3 routine. Okaplex said it was ok to use 0 on damp hair. I exfoliate shampoo first because I use a lot of hairspray, volumizier spray and sometimes dry shampoo during week. I keep the 3 on 30 min and spray with water after 15 minutes to keep it damp. Then I shampoo #4 and followup with #8. I usually keep the 8 on 20 min. The other 2 times during week I just use 4,5. I am also putting on a treatment cap while I’m using the 0,3 combo and 8.
    Then I’m out, put hair in Aquis for 30 min to cut down on dryer time. I also have Dyson and doing this my hair is dry in about 5 min. Before I dry I mix small amounts 6,7 together and apply. I always had straight hair. As I’ve gotten older if I let it air dry I get some waves. If I’m leaving the house after this I’m good to go after I dry. The problem is coming if I do this at night to try to save time in AM. I wake up with some waves. I’ve noticed in other videos that the 9 is keeping the hair straighter in fact some people are complaining about this. I just ordered the 9 and think that’s when I’m going to use it. On those days when I wash at night and then going to sleep hoping I’ll have less waves when I wake up. I do sleep on a silk pillowcase.

    • @NotFitforPrintBeauty

      I love this comment and I’m so interested in the nine keeping the hair straighter. This video is an older one of mine and, at this point, I’ve started to embrace the waviness present in my hair, more and more each year. When I force it stick straight now, it tends to look a little bit like a box on my head. I’m wondering if the nine would help keep it straighter. My hair is wavy underneath and straight on top and whichever side I choose the other side, kind of fights, back, if that makes sense. When I go wavy, it kind of wants to be straight that day, and when I go straight it kind of fights me and looks horrible so your comment was really thought provoking for me.

    I’ve just started to purchase a couple of their products. However I also just saw an article about a class action suit against the brand for an ingredient in number 3. Now I’m concerned about trusting this brand…. They said they have reformulated but I have an uneasy feeling every time I look at the bottle. Is there any way to verify that their ingredients are safe? I was putting trust in the clean at Sephora label but now I’m not sure…

    • @NotFitforPrintBeauty
      @NotFitforPrintBeauty  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I heard about this too. The brand was on Instagram speaking to the issue as well. Apparently, from what I have heard, the ingredient in number three would have to be so much more concentrated to ever be a threat. Like insanely more concentrated. I believe it was kind of a crazed reaction that was unfounded. However. However. However. I am not a chemist or a doctor so I can not state this with authority. I do know that the clean at Sephora mark, as a total side note, isn’t meaningful. Try this article. Really explains it well. fashionista.com/2022/03/olaplex-infertility-controversy-ingredient-reformulation

      It’s funny. As I was going through the litany, I realized how miserable it all sounds. So there I was, trying to line it all up and explain all the products, as you saw, and inside my head I’m thinking that people are going to hate how many steps this is. And I sat there and I thought how do I make it easier but I really didn’t know how to and then I realized it’s more for people who already know the system because it’s just sound so convoluted and I really kind of struggled with that fact. So yes, I hear you. As it was filming it I heard myself thinking it even! Ha ha I think what happens is really, if you get straw like hair you start with the shampoo and conditioner pretty much out of desperation and then because it works so well you go, “oh there’s other products in the line?” And that’s where the obsession begins.

    Ooooohhhhh, I have wanted to try this brand for the last 4,000 years, but I am scared. Why so fearful?? This is kind of dumb, but there were a few reviews (very few) saying the products made the person’s hair super dry and I already have straw on my head. Thin straw. 😂😂 So I ran with those reviews, thereby ignoring the vast majority that swears by these products. Yep, it’s dumb. You know how sometimes we get 100 compliments and only one criticism-then we dwell on the one negative statement and completely disregard all the positive ones. I told you I was going to try a sample, but I never saw one that I could get. Maybe I missed it. Hmmmmm. What if it DOES make a difference in my straw?????? 👒Hmmmmmmm. 💖

    • @NotFitforPrintBeauty
      @NotFitforPrintBeauty  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It’s very interesting. I have met a few people who have thinner hair or a lot of hair but thin hair structure, if that makes sense, and they have said that this weighs down their hair too much. For me, it was the only thing that brought some life back to my hair which was honestly feeling literally like straw. Now I can switch up and use other shampoos because the OlaPlex has really helped the bond of the hair. They sell very small sizes and are sold at Ulta so might be worth trying the shampoo and conditioner and seeing what you think if you get the smaller sizes.

    • @MissBeeeBeee
      @MissBeeeBeee 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@NotFitforPrintBeauty I probably wouldn’t have the weigh-down-too-much problem. This is just my assumption based on the fact that I use extremely heavy/thick hair masks and those don’t weigh down my straw-like so-called hair (still trying to figure out if I have hair or straw 😂😂). This is an excellent idea!! Instead of waiting for a sample that never comes (or I miss), I can buy the smallest size possible. In all honesty, it can’t make my hair any drier!!!! I am maxed out on the dry/straw realm and I don’t even color my hair!!!! What up!!!! I have no highlights and no nothing. Just blessed with straw. I am going to look at Ulta right meow!!!! 😻😻💖
