Have you tried Pattern before? What are your favorites?

    • @debmurray2734

Yes! I bought the clarifying shampoo, light conditioner and the leave in conditioner. I have been happy with the results + my typical styling products (Curlsmith Protein Cream and In Shower Fixer). ... For reference I have fine, 2c-3a, low porosity course dry color treated hair.

Yes! Pattern products are great even for thin hair. The strong hold get and the leave-in are my favorite all year round. The leave in is a one and done. Now I want the custard. 😊

You are the 1st person I've heard say the invisibobble gets all stuck in their hair; I hate those things! They hurt & that rubbery silicone material really grabs at my strands. But I hear everyone raving about them, & how great they are for curls. I thought I was just weird. And yes, I used the name brand ones, too.
I use similar satin scrunchies to the ones you bought. I might have even gotten mine from Amazon too. I've been thinking about trying the olaplex serum... I don't like their oil, but that's probably cuz of the liquid parrifin - my hair doesn't do well with the big time occlusives like that, or mineral oil, or waxes... Great video, thanks!

    • @GenaMarie

  • @krenger2

Pattern actually has two gels, curl gel and strong hold gel. The curl gel is kind of like a cream gel, and it reminds me of AG Recoil a lot. The strong hold gel is really thick and can be a little sticky to work with. I prefer the curl gel, I use that first and then use the Camille Rose curl maker, and it works great on my fine wavy hair. They have a hair mist that’s great for refreshing, and I like that too.

Absolutely. I just posted about them before i saw this.
They are tiny, but great and don't crunk your curls.
I use them for low pigtails to put 'up' my hair at night. 90% of time I don't need to refresh day 2.
If i really want to make sure i have next day hair, i lean to the side and spray my hair with Aussie Instant Freeze (yeah alcohol)... But it forms a 'net' and the pigtails keep things together. If i had long hair & would maybe use two on each tail

I'm just starting on my curls journey. Because everything is very confusing at first, I took the Curlsmith quiz, and that seemed to give me somewhere to start that made sense-- along with the Infinity Pro diffuser. Gina, my hair is like yours in many ways except 2b and thicker. I have wet frizz and have already realized I also have to style my hair damp and not wet. There is definitely a lot to learn. Your videos will help me, I'm sure. Thank you!

olaplex 9 is an absolutely incredible product. creamy products turn my type 4 hair into a ball of frizz, so when I don't have time to do olaplex 3, this is a great step for me during regular detangling. The frizz disappears and my curls are smoothed instantly. Plays well with my styling products as well, and can be used in the place of any other detangling products. I apply a hydrating serum, then this and detangle. then style with a mousse.

I tried the Pattern beauty line. There are two products that I loved and they are the treatment mask and the leave-in conditioner. The conditioner has a great slip and the mask helped with definition and elongation of my coily curls. There is also a transition mask for individuals transitioning to natural hair that I have not used. The styling cream and gel was okay. It was not as moisturizing on my 4a coily low-porosity hair . Thank for the Amazon reviews. I will definitely look at the Amazon workout clothes.

Hi there! We had to squeeze in & offer some curl tips for your pattern. Being that our Styling Cream is thick & your curls are low porosity, you're hair will need to be wet/semi drenched before applying product. Use warm water on a section of your hair & apply the product, then brush through with our Shower Brush or any curl brush & watch your pattern take flight! If you need any hair tips or assistance with our products, see our Curl Guide for more: patternbeauty.com/pages/curl-guide

They make mini/child size invisibobble (idk brand) that are the size of a nickel. You don't have to twist them. They hold my hair in a pony (or two low pigtails for night).
I don't have to wrap them and they don't dent your hair

I've been curious about Pattern as well. I have Type 2-3a fine to medium hair that is mostly dry because of my coarse grays. Nothing seems to work to keep them moisturized. I wouldn't care so much except the worst of them are right in front of my ears (sideburns?), so they frame my face and the frizz is awful. I mostly use Curlsmith products (thank you 🙂), and tried their souffle and it was horrible, my grays shriveled up and broke. Weird. I'd love to find hold in a cream and not have to use gel. Thanks, Gena for your reviews, I enjoy your channel. ~🌻

Hi Gina loved the video as always. Wanted to mention about the sunscreen, a “viral dupe” (hate that phrase) for the Ulta MD is the “Drmtology universal tinted moisturizer spf 45”. I can’t speak to the Ulta MD but I do use the Drmtology one & I love it it’s very light weight and the tint is nice & minimal works well under makeup. It’s $20 less than Ulta MD.
