No. They need to make them with swappable heads. With helmet and without. Removable helmets are way too big and get deformed. Also, they have to sculpt the hair in weird ways to be able to fit the heads into the helmets. I think swappable heads is a better option.

I wouldnt be offended if they just didnt glue the helmets on and left the unpainted head in there. Adds a little fun customizability to each clone

Good job Steve. I never noticed the issue with the stripes on the legs. I'm going to have to go in and fix mine now.
I know this was your first human face and you did quite well for the first go. Heres a bit if advice for painting faces: Give them a base coat of Citadel- Bugmans Glow (or a similar "brick" color...Bugmans is best though). Then apply a series of washes- first a dark flesh tone, and then a light. Repeat wash process until you get the perfect tone you want.
This technique works SO much better then applying a coat of "flesh" color to any given head/face.
Give it a go and let me know what you think in group.

I bought this figure and heard about an actual ''head'' underneath, But no one really knew if it was a blank face or a sculpted face ? I assumed they wouldn't bother with doing a full sculpted face, But you took a chance and found the truth !!! I am both surprised and impressed that they did that And even more so impressed with what you did with your paintwork !!! Excellent video as most of yours are !!!

Heres another trick for the visor on these new clone sculpts. This works on the Kamino, 332nd, and the Phase 1....
If you notice the black paint in the T-visor just seems to be a little "off", and just a small bit of Nuln Oil to the visor and move the head side to side just a bit until it dries. Be careful. You dont want the Nuln Oil to hit the white of the helmet. It will stain it QUICKLY!!!
And BANG!!! Instant Fix!!!!

Looks awesome. Thanks for the shoutout! Tried to remove a helmet for one I’ve got recently and it just won’t come off! The face looks great, if you use a small amount of dark wash it’ll really bring out the details in the mould of the face. Awesome job though mate!

The brow missing on this clone is just odd. Everything else in the black series is fully realistic...
Then this figure came along with its wierd frankenstein of the clone wars and movies.
Movie look but clone wars proportions. And then they left the brow unpainted...
And god does that helmet look soooo much better with the brow.

Looks great! Did you have any concerns with the helmet staying on the head after you cut it out? does it fit snug or is it a little off? Lastly, would you say apple barrel acrylic paint is suitable for the paint or would you advise against it? Great vid!

I was concerned with the helmet but once its off its fine, it is snug and will rub off the paint on the face if it hasn't got a vanish. But no its fine fits back how it's meant to be. Apple Barrel I've heard of, I'm in the UK but I think its target or Walmart paint? Used to watch a customizer who used to use it, that has now deleted his account and he always said they where fine. But can't comment myself

Hey Centurion's Corner.
Have you tried using some wash paints to add shade and depth?
Citadel's and Vallejo's are pretty good. They do flesh coloured washes and plenty other colours.
I've used them on various figures, mostly Marvel Legends when they only have a flat colour.

Yeah, so boil it and it becomes really soft so does the head just keep putting it in, trying it go again last part I left it for about a 40secs and I managed to turn the helmet inside out and the head just popped, some say use pliers but I'd be worried if it cut it.
