The Wooks is no stranger to 1440p 165hz Dell monitors or Dell monitors in general having used almost all of their flagship gaming panels over the last year. This came in at a ridiculously good price of $400 MSRP and around R8000 locally but then it landed in the Evetech Level UP deals at R5999 which makes it quite the proposition. I just got one, LOVE it...fast, responsive, unbelievable picture...
I bought this as an "upgrade" to the 2-S2721HGF's I already have, which are great monitors themselves...
With a 1500R curve, this and the S2721HGF's are very comfortable to use and look at, not having to turn ones head to see the entire monitor is a big plus...
@27". this is about the biggest monitor I would have, I've looked at larger, but because of the larger size, I found myself having to "scan" to see the entire monitor...
While some may consider this a "budget" monitor, the only thing "budget" about it is the price, and not the quality...
Neglected to mention, the video card I'm using to drive the monitor is an MSI RTX 4070 Super Ventus 2X OC, 1440@165Hz...

We only really sell stuff for the gaming and PC market but if you want a meanie for streaming check out the Facecam from Elgato. The main mad lad Wooks has done a review on it as well xD
we game as a family and have 2 x 3222dgm and 1x 2722dgm. we are totally happy with them, and our main game is CSGO.

Did you not try extreme?(ok i see it on) and setting at 120 hz helps also .
On mine this removed virtually all smear
I am just used to 240hz IPS with true 1ms response time so these eyes see no lies! xD
I have the Ps5 which HdMi you used to connect to this monitor?
Coming from an Asus VG249 24" 1080p 144hz IPS monitor, do you think this panel could be worth it for me? I'm mainly a AAA gamer looking to upgrade to 1440p on a budget. I occasionally play competitive games such as CS2 and Apex but I will mainly be playing the latest AAA games so I am more concerned about image quality
Oh yes for sure. You definitely will notice a difference in pixel response times vs an IPS but over all these are just fantastic

Extreme will be best in most cases
What HDMI Cord you connect the Ps5 to the Dell 2722DGM . ? Since the PS5 HDMI is a 2.1 HDMI cord.

so I have one of these in my cart, the 27" 1440p. Now I'm hearing you say it doesn't preform well in tarkov? What monitor will preform good in tarkov?, that's just about the only game I play

Hello man, hope your doing well. I have Dell S2722DGM atm, do you think its worth going for Dell Alienware AW2723DF 280hz for FPS gaming when my pc specs can go way beyond that fps mark. Will i notice a big difference, thanks for your time.

Really unsure if i should go for this or another IPS seen a lot of people taking about VA having bad black smearing
They do have pretty bad smear on lower res but on 1440p it's reduced by like 80%. The IPS is always safe from that however...
So if I like to play Tarkov a lot I should maybe take a IPS Panel?
I mean, I would like to have a curved one again, and IPS is rarely curved.

You may want to look at the Dell S2721HGF, same as the S2722DGM with 2 exceptions, it's highest resolution is 1920x1080 and it'll "only" do 144Hz, great monitor, I have 2...

Yes it has a 3.5mm pass through for standard analogue audio

Are you connecting it via the DP cable or on the HDMI? HDMI max is 144 afaik

Honestly, I barely see the smear, even in this video. Older VA's were like at least a couple of times worse with black smearing, like they were actually almost more smear than image in a bad example, but I really have to look for it here.
Yeah definitely improved but these eyes are sharper than a 4 blade razer even at 34 BOET xD
I own this exact model. Been using it for 4 months and I have not noticed the smear. I do play Fortnite. However I would say my IPS display is more responsive for FPS period. But I like the VA because I play more mmorg titles and consume media than play fps. So this does so much better in that use case. Sold the IPS and kept the VA.

I've ordered one before watching this video, and on the picture I had, the bezels were really smaller. I feel once again, cheated by Dell.
the bezeles dont look big at all
