I believe that palpatiene would have to deal with way less rebellions in the aftermath of the wars (vong ans Clone wars ) as he would not be seen as an evil ruler but more a compitent one who did everything he could to save the galaxy (that resoulted in the death of the jedi ). also wouldnt the ARC 130 dominate the skies since it was probably better than the x-wings in a multirole Space fighter that could carry diferent bombs and probably Buzz droids
Grevious would totally be a match for vong warriors too. He can track them and their weapons, eliminating any speed advantage, and wouldn't be overwhelmed by their attacks since he can fend them off with one limb and attack with the others. Block the spit, biting whip, etc. While still being able to attack.
What I really want to see is Generals Grievous and Kenobi leading a joint force of clones and droids into battle against the Vong. I would probably cry tears of joy.
"Hello there" "General Kenobi, you jedi scum." They bro hug, do their new secret handshake. "Army or not, you're always welcome fighting alongside me."
Oh, Palpatine would have had a field day with the Vong. An outside, existential threat to the galaxy is even better than what he manufactured himself. Let the Vong run roughshod on the outer rim for a while, the jedi to get ground up in attrition, and let the people get scared enough that they'd give him all the power he ever wanted. Dooku gets to be the hero that successfully brokers an alliance between Republic and CIS, Palpatine lets loose all the crazy super weapons and endless war machine production he had to hold back before, and as soon as the beaten Jedi start to suggest that maybe genocide of the Vong is going too far, they get wiped out for being "sympathetic to the evil invaders". Boom, Galactic Empire time. Also, Borsk Fey'lya did everything wrong.
I have 0 fucking clue about this universe or it's goverments even after all his videos covering them. But wouldn't the genocide of the jedi simply for saying "hey uh maybe we could like you know not kill off an entire species?." Go from a 0 to a imperium of man genocide cause it's just one of those Monday's be to rash and have almost no support. From anyone that didn't look like a old man that was thrown in the washer for 800+ years?. And question if you don't mind since I'm still ignorant on a lot of things related to this universe wouldn't the Jedi be able to uh shit what's it called again..... um like use that force magic stuff to sense his evil intentions?. Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't Yoda or Obi wan or um shit I'm sorry but I forgot his name the one with the purple light saber that was thrown from the window if I remember correctly?. To know that he was one of those sith? Syth? I am so sorry I don't know how it's spelled please forgive my ignorance I'm just curious.
Cause I thought they noticed at some point but it was to late but wouldn't this be different a sooner rather than latter scenario if you will in comparison?.
@@dankesteevee1937 Uhhh idk if this was sarcastic(somebody on this channel not knowing Mace Windu) But if you are serious I think the Jedi was distracted by the Clone Wars to sense the dark side.I mean they didn't sense his evil till the end of war.I'm pretty sure the Yuuzhan invasion would've made it even harder.
Hey now, to be fair to Fey'lya, in his final days he started to realize how much he screwed up and started to make the right choices. And you have to admit his final sacrifice, blowing up the Imperial Palace and taking like 50,000 enemy soldiers with him was pretty awesome. Doesn't remotely cancel out like 3 decades of his bull shit. But at least at the end he made some good choices.
Palpatine can mask his presence. 2 the jedi built their temple on ancient sith ruins to erase their legacy with the side effect with messing with their perception. 3 he did it once he can do it again. EXCECUTE ORDER 66.

@@EchthelionII Yes, Jedi who could use Electric Judgment during the New Republic era utilized it to great effect on Vong warriors. Also, keep in mind, there are varying types of Force Lightning: it ranges from pain to paralysis to straight-up electrocution, death, even disintegration if powerful enough. Vong could be immobilized or straight up killed by Electric Judgment, and were put through excruciating pain that they couldn't train for or develop a tolerance against, killed, or flat out obliterated by Sith Lightning.

Would be an extremly crucial weapon for the CIS to be able to win against the vong. taking down most enemy forces without hurting your main army? Hell yeah!
@@Guardias Right? In fact, knowing that Sidious knew about the Vong, and knowing he cancelled most super weapons the seps made, I wonder if he greenlit this specifically to fight them and not the Republic. Hey, Eck, what do you think about that idea? #AskEck
The CIS would go crazy using defoliators, we see in clone wars that they had already sort of become a standard compliment to landing craft since there’s one readily available when Grievous exterminates the night sisters.
COMPLETELY Off Topic, but seeing the scene with Obi Wan riding that creature on Utapau made me kinda sad, poor big lizard boi must be walkin on battledroids like Legos and that must hurt ):
Also completely off topic but.... Hello everyone. I have written several popular Star Wars Fan Fiction series. I now have decided to chase my dreams and start my own Science Fiction book series. The first book in my franchise is only $5. Please support me anyway you can. My franchise is called the Infinite Domain Universe. Keep in mind that I use a pen name, that is why the name of the author will appear to be different. www.barnesandnoble.com/w/infinite-domain-blair-elmore/1137247314?ean=2940162897514 www.amazon.com/Infinite-Domain-Inception-Part-1-ebook/dp/B08BY6GV9T/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=infinite+domain%3A+inception+part+1&qid=1593381439&sr=8-1 If you have never seen my fan fictions before also feel free to check out my Star Wars Fan Fiction works. I have made the popular "What if Anakin Didn't Dew It?" series which has gotten over 10,000 views during the first month of it's release on Web Novel. I have also made the "Phantom Alliance" alternate universe series and other stuff too. If you have any further questions, feel free to ask. Infinite Domain is a more hardcore Sci-Fi than Star Wars however, it is more like a space opera than Halo. It is a bit more political than Halo in themes. This story has a good dose of humor too for all the jokers out there. www.webnovel.com/book/17065302006469005/What-if-Anakin-Didn%27t-Dew-it%3F swfanon.fandom.com/wiki/Phantom_Alliance_Episode_1 I'm also a huge fan of Halo. When I was younger, I worked on some Halo fan fictions. But an issue came up where I lost some of my old works. I plan on continuing that trend one day down the line, but there are so many things to write as an aspiring part time author. Doers please support a fellow doer. Thank you all for your time.
That scene stuck with me a lot as a kid. At the time my childhood pet was a 4 foot long iguana my mom named Nemesis. He protecc He attacc But most importantly he didn’t leave obi wans back :( Rip big chicken iguana we love you
I want to see how characters like Palpatine, Dooku, and Ventress would fare in this scenario. While the light side of the force was ineffective against the Vong, both Jaina Solo and Lomi Plo displayed that the dark side of the force was *extremely* potent against them. Something tells me that if Palpatine ended up in the same situation in which Borsk Fey'lya did at the end... Palpatine probably would have ended up massacring them.
It seemed like the Dark Side and even light side powers that worked by creating a physical effect, like electricity or energy, worked on the Vong, but that even dark siders still couldn't affect their minds or sense them more than as an "absence"
God i'd love the see Borsk and palpatine switching places in this moment. The face of the vong comander seeing how his entire squad is taken out by the old republic chancellor... priceless.
I’d like to see an alternate universe where Palpatine wasn’t a Sith Lord, and was just a smart politician, and the moment he hears about the Vong, he calls Dooku. “Count, Chancellor Palpatine is hailing you.” “Tell him I won’t talk to a tyrant.” “He says he’s going to send Skywalker, the entire Jedi council, and the 501st to Serenno if you don’t pick up.”
Theory: The Vong were prepared to invade shortly after TPM but were given pause when their probes discovered a massive build up of clone and droid armies in a short amount of time. The Vong were debating a surprise attack when the Clone War started and it became apparent that the droids and clones were being made to fight each other, not the Vong, so the would-be invaders waited as the Clone War continued, then escalated into a full blown civil war that spanned the entirety of the known galaxy. The Vong only had to wait until their targets had weakened themselves enough to make their jobs easier, and once the supposedly weaker rebels toppled the dominant empire, the Vong finally began their invasion, expecting a weak and war-weary galaxy to crumble before them.
That's not entirely a theory. It's stated in the books that the Vong had been spying on the galaxy for decades before the invasion, and that The Empire under the leadership of Palpatine would have provided a much more formidable adversary, especially given their planet-killer superweapons that would have obliterated the Vong worldships used to traverse the galactic divide.
That sounds like a politicians theory. As a true warrior would know that a civil war would actually make the galaxy MORE difficult to invade afterwards. As the survivors would come out of such a war much stronger, determined and battle hardened - with their war machines intact. A tactically savvy Commander would have invaded while both sides were at war - split and worrying about themselves - not each other. The enemy already DIVIDED themselves - they would merely need to CONQUER whatever/whomever was left.
@@marcoslaureano5562amn you really don’t understand people then. If the vong had invaded palpatine could have easily played the politics on both sides to justify a truce and alliance to repel the invaders that threaten them all. Likely the majority of the populace would instantly share this sentiment since it’s very historically common scenario. Many times in our own history for example: (Huns, avars, Magyars, mongols, and the crusades)
You mean seeing a fleet of Venators getting slaughtered by Skips as their under powered weapons do little more than annoy the dovin basals on the world ship?
@@ltsBoxes I don't disagree with you. I do know that star wars is his primary focus and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. I'm just saying that eventually he can no longer be considered solely a star wars channel like The Lore Master (Who I believe has a separate channel for Marvel and DC now.) and Star Wars Reading Club.
IMO the Vong would have been slaughtered. Grevious is basically a hard-counter to them and the vast droid armies could overwhelm them while RC Commandos could covertly strike. It ALSO would have united the galaxy against a common enemy and could have effectively curbed the clone wars.
SnappyCenter7 was it ever identified if mini guns, missiles, and rail guns could turn Vong to paste ? Cuz that'd be an enjoyable sight to see as they claim even the Jedi laser swords can't harm them 😂😂😂
@@blackshogun272 I'm pretty confident that if a lightsaber, which can cut through blast doors, doesnt kill them then a minigun, which does not cut through blast doors, would not.
the CIS itself would absolutely decimate the Vong. And without Palpatine controlling them, they would be able to mass produce the most dangerous types of battle droids, just like that droid that almost killed Windu and Saesse Tiin, and that was just one single droid. Imagine thousands of those. If it wasn't for the plot, the CIS would be one of the most op factions ever.
Yah... I mean give the separatists a couple weeks to start mass producing their prototype defoliator (the cannon that completely destroyed all organic matter in its blast radius while leaving droids unharmed) and sticking it on tanks and ships... it would be devestating and the Vong would LOATHE that🤣
Also thousands of Commando Droids, Scorpenek annihilator droids, more advanced droid fighters like the Tri Fighter, close quarters combat droids like the grappler droid. Sadly due to palpatine and greedy ass seaparatist leaders like gunray that never happened. Also not only gunray also the Muuns they were cheapskates.
I think there is a tech factor that is missing for this era and that is a lack of shutter fire to overwhelm the bioships healing capabilities. But the defoliation shells would be devastating for the vong I agree.
Around the time of Episode 7-perhaps the Vong would lose? We haven't seen much of Disney-era New Republic (except for some troops and security droids in The Mandalorian), but if the First Order and New Republic (PRE Starkiller massacre, obviously) worked together, perhaps they could have repelled the Vong. An invasion during Episode 8? Yyyyyyyyeeeeah probably not. There was no Republic, barely any Resistance and the First Order was generally the sole force in the Galaxy (and let's face it, they were pretty incompetent overall). Even with Snoke, Ren and their legions of brainwashed troopers, the Vong would win eventually. I don't even need to discuss an Episode 9 invasion. Pretty much no Jedi, basically no Resistance, no First OR Final Orders-the Galaxy is the weakest it's been in almost a century. Not much to discuss-the Vong could have practically waltzed into the Senate without any trouble.
A unshackled Republic would probably be closer to the current war but with a bigger death count for clones unless the Vong wipes out their clone facility (Really dumb of the Republic to not plan for a back up if their *1* planet gets wiped out leaving them without a fighting force)
Going by Canon: Separatists ultimately win the war and Palpatine annexes both the CIS and Republic into the Empire via a peace treaty with Dooku. Jedi go into hiding, and conspire with Bail Organa, Mon Mothma, and maybe Padme if she's alive to assist the Rebellion against the Empire. Galactic Civil War is more intense with thousands of Jedi assisting rebel cells against the armies of the Empire. By Legends: We see a scenario similar to the old Mandalorian Wars play out. Some of the more radical militarized Jedi (Rahm Kota, for instance) decides to join the Republic's war-effort with possibly hundreds following in their stead. Possibly could lead to a Schism in the Order as they see their brethren fight and die on battlefronts across the galaxy. From there, plays out similar to the Canon scenario only here the Empire has an Army of Dark Side Acolytes in the next Civil War since one of Dooku's ideas was to establish the "Fist of the Empire", basically taking human and near-human Force-sensitives and training them in the Dark Side.
Robert Nelson The Separatists still wouldn’t have won. It wasn’t a real war. Palestine never had the intention of anything other than the Republic winning and converting to the Empire. Palpatine would have found another reason to start the purge which likely would have turned into a war itself.
Jimmy Gee I really wanted to make a Palestine joke here but nah. If not for the illegal and unethical behavior of the Jedi at the start of the war then it wouldn’t have started. At least not because of that, the separatist movement was becoming more and more disenfranchised with the Republic that combined with the numerous smaller factions looking to get even with rivals and this war would have occurred either way.
If Palpatine used the situation well enough, then at the end of the war, if successful, then he, and with it, the Sith could be seen as heroes. Imagine what he could do then. He could engineer the fall of the Jedi through making it seem like they made the invasion happen.
In that scenario order 66 wouldn't be neeeded. Yuzang would trie to do Jedi purge and with only a few Jedi left that would probably seek revenge for their brothers and sisters. Palpatine would be more powerful and rebelion might not happen in that universe.
In Legends, Palpatine knew just how powerful the Vong were since Outbound Flight, and he controlled both sides of the Clone Wars. Both sides would direct their efforts towards the Vong, Palpatine would use this new war to further militarize both side and unite them into the Empire over it’s course. The CIS’ Death Star project would be helped by the Republic, likely becoming something closer to Tarkin Station, just to have something to destroy world ships.
The very idea of the Republic and the CIS teaming up to fight the Vong is an awesome image in my head Dooku might play fair but Grievous would likely go on a bi-factional killing spree
Imagine the Vong seeing Grevious I can see him going after Amphi staffs as much as he does Lightsabers. A cool thought i had when i heard of the Vong was what if with Palpatine being aware of the Vong threat was using the clone wars as a three point plan, destroy the jedi, gain power over the galaxy but also figure which army would be the best to counter Droids on mass or Clones on mass and use the winner to destroy the threat
#AskEck In Revenge of the Sith when Mace Windu said "the oppression of the Sith will never return" was he referring to a specific era of Sith rule in the galaxy?
BOOMER WAVE The New Sith War Era was basically under the New Sith Empire's thumb honestly. If they had worked together in those last few hundred years, the Galactic Republic woulda got wiped...
That actually reminds me of this one time when my Dad and I had an idea for an episode of Star Wars The Clone Wars. The plot was about both the Republic and Separatists both encountering a squadron of Yuuzhan Vong. In the end one of the Clones would say: “Well at least they’re aren’t any more of those guys.” Unfortunately we found out the series got cancelled, so the project idea was scrapped.
Cyrus Rogers I'd love to see them say: Grievous: "General Kenobi ?" Obi-Wan: "Hello There !" *Hundreds of Vong start rushing them* Both of them: "May the Force Be With Us !" and charge deadass into the warriors and start pulling a 300 on all of them 😎😎😎
Unlikely. Lucas had very clear ideas of post-RotJ stories and they had nothing in common with EU. He had the final say in Clone Wars, so no Yuuzhan Vong as much no Revan's Force Ghost. He basically concidered EU fan-fiction.
Thinnawi03 Apparently, Dave Filoni had planned to involve the Yuuzhan Vong in the later seasons before the show was cancelled in 2014. Had that actually happened, they would have at least made it into the canon universe.
Vong: Lemme invade this galaxy Palpatine:??? Nani? Vong: Crap they got droids, I hate droids! Palpatine: *Starts producing an army of general grievous*
A united galaxy of droids, clones, Jedi, Sith, and other species in between would be fairly difficult for the Vong but after years of war they may be unwilling allies
I liked it. Especially your thoughts on Palpatine. The only thing I would have mentioned more is the Clone Troopers. They wouldn't have the same psychological effect on the Vong as droids, but they're more adaptable and extremely proficient in all areas of warfare (which would help even out the naval playing field).
it's an interesting match, but at that point, the republic had victories, mark 1 imperial star destroyer's, and the Mandator 1 and 2 dreadnaughts, and very powerful starfighter's, and the CIS being as flexible and creative as they are able to create a lot of ship's that fit the missing link the Republic needs the Jedi were more organized and greater in number in this time and would prove to be difficult for them palpatine would know they are a threat as he knows about them so he would have united the galaxy to fight the Vong, however, whatever happens after is a mystery with this said, what happens, despite the technology being lower grade compared to the new republic, would probably be beaten with far less casualties when compared to the new republic
I think having a ruler who is aware of the Vong's existance is a massive advantage that just didn't exist in the New Republic era. Even if Palpatine sacrifices people and planets for his own advantage he would still have a plan. He could use the CIS to manufacture super weapons and then have the republic take control of them.
You should realize this would have other massive impacts on this universe too, first of all, Anakin and Padmes children would be born while Anakin hasn't fallen to the dark side, because order 66 likely would not be done until far later. This basically means anakin likely never falls to the dark side, and while Palpatine could find other options, Anakin on his own may be enough to change the outcome of Palpatines attempt to call out a false coupe, especially because this Anakin would easily be allowed to stay on the Jedi council, as children and love has been permitted before, and likely would be for the greatest war hero of the Jedi order. He would even eventually be labeled a Jedi Master, after an even more extended conflict, but as his children being born completely fine occurred, he likely would be less desperate for the position. This would also mean he may depend less on Palpatine as a coping mechanism, and be more content with the Jedi order, and the famed war hero Anakin Skywalker saying a Jedi coupe was falsified, many would listen. This is if Palpatine isn't killed in the original arrest attempt, which would likely happen eventually. At this point, the Jedi order in general would likely be more powerful, and we may even see an arrest attempt with Yoda there originally. Simply adding a content Anakin in the first place would likely spell death for the dark lord, but imagine the entire Jedi council at once, and I think Palpatine doesn't stand a chance. A conflict with the Vong may actually cause the galaxy to be better off in the long run, though even after Palpatine, there would likely still be much conflict.
We are also forgetting maul was still about, and had history with the vong after he fought and killed one fist to fist depending on the time of the attack maul would have either the night sisters and there magick (granted wouldn't be to effective) or better off the mandalorians
The "x factor" of all of this would likely be whether the extra time allows the Jedi to discover Sidious's identity. If I'm remembering correctly, the Jedi were already starting to get suspicious of "Republic Leadership", and especially if Nom Arnor(?) is found, be able to justify, at least after the fact, an investigation which might ID Palpatine as Sidious.
Nom Anor would definitely take advantage of the secret war between the Jedi and the Sith and leak knowledge of Sidious to the Jedi. The main question is whether or not he'd be able to figure out that Palpatine and Sidious are the same person.
Would it matter? By that point, Palpatine already had full control of the Republic. He could just execute Order 66 anyway. This might lead to a temporary paralyzation of the Republic command structure, one that he's sure to exploit. I'm no sure if Anakin would've been turned though, but either way I don't see the senate taking the side of the Jedi who were attempting to throw a coup in the midst of an intergalactic invasion.
And I'm back from listening to a bunch of random marching songs and one from the Far Cry 5 soundtrack... Now, for the Vong, cause the Peggys got me Keeping my rifle by my side~
Whenever someone says “yuuzhan vong” in a Star Wars video I hear “U’s on vong”. Then I imagine a planet named vong where this species named the U’s live lol
The Clone Wars Era is my favorite Star Wars Era. I grew up with it and I wish there was more Clone Wars stuff still coming out. The politics and galactic conflict always interested me.
Something to think about - The Vong ships, while reasonably powerful ship per ship (especially the coralskippers), use only single-point singularities as defense and propulsion. They are very vulnerable to scattered fire (the sputter trigger later for fighters). So swarming them at 30-50:1 with vulture droids, tridroids and hyenas I think would do a *LOT* to equalize the effect of less powerful capital ships. Especially when you factor in oddities like the Defoliator being deployed in large numbers, which should be *devastatingly* effective against Vong biots. And as you mentioned, the CIS especially can *afford* to lose droids at a 50:1 rate, and just grind the Vong down to nothing. They don't have cloning tech to rapidly replace losses!
Puncle Sans I think you mean it would cause trillions of deaths, wipe out entire species(unrelated to the Vong), and then move on to finish the Vong in there own galaxy.
Man I would love to sit in on a round table discussion with the guy(s) from Eckhart's Ladder,, Geetsley, Stupendous Wave and Allen of Generation Tech. That would be so fun, play some Star Wars trivial pursuit or something.
Unless they Sided with the Republic (they would Never side with the Droid heavy CIS) They would Get DECIMATED. (Palp's control of both sides would make that Certain). The Clone Wars was one of, if not the Most massive conflicts, in SW history. Droids on one side, Clones led by Jedi on the Other? DONE.
I think it would be even more difficult if they used b1s as bait, with a battle droid squad along with a clone squad or two, and when the vong attack the b1s the clones blast the fuck out of them
Sorry, but no. The Yuuzhan Vong war was much larger than the Clone War. The Vong had more capital ships, bigger capital ships, much more advanced and powerful ships, and they were far far nastier than any other faction. They would have heavily outmatched the CIS and GAR space navys
Not a fan of palpatine well guess you could say I hate the scum but with palps being in control of both the republic and cis I think the vong would of been in for hell of a surprise. I would really like to see a series with this concept. I think it would be super interesting and with the clone wars era fleshed out as it has been there is a lot to pull from. I really like the old idea of enemies having to unite and work together to save the galaxies from a new threat.
Yeah Death Stars vs the Vong was always a dream scenario for me so the higher ups in the empire could truly be mind-blown by Palpatine and how far ahead he plans things.
From my understanding of the extended universe it seems that Palpatine was creating his super weapons with the intent to kill the Vong. A death star makes a whole lot more sense when you have all those worldships incoming.
If I were to make a story of the Vong invasion, I'd like to see Palpatine deposed. His plan is obviously crippled by the attack of the Vong and would require a serious rework. While he is certainly clever enough to do it, off the cuff, we know he is somewhat lacking in his skills in predicting how people, well developed rational people, will react. He couldn't foresee Vader throwing him off a cliff at the end of RoTJ, and I think the people of the galaxy would band together faced with a more real "them" to throw themselves at. I think we'd see the CIS and the Republic come to an understanding and band together to drive the Vong out before the invasion could progress too far. Now of course Palpatine would not take this laying down, he would stand up to the people of the galaxy with all the might of his special hidden projects, but a lot of his might, the clones and the Senate, would still be loyal to the Republic, to democracy, and would inevitably bring themselves close enough together to repulse his ships and his weapons, because the galaxy has proven time and again when in crisis, they prove to be a worthy adversary to any that mean them harm, whether it be an Empire of Sith, invaders from beyond the galaxy, or any number of other foes, they do what they must to attain victory. I also think it'd be a pretty good story to read of the Jedi's ultimate triumph over extra-galactic invaders, and the Emperor. And maybe they'd find a lot more of their members are more Gray than light after the war, exposed to enough of the horrors of the Vong, of what Palpatine had in store for the galaxy, they maybe could have reformed to be a bit less restrictive and let their members see truth and not just the light.
It would be Impossible for the clones to rebel against Palpatine without removing their inhibitor chips. The programming they revived on Kamino make them loyal the the Supreme Chancellor above all else. If the Senate or the Jedi were to try and depose him, all Palpatine would have the Clones on his side. In this scenario, I think that a Jedi schism would likely occur, between those supporting Chancellor Palpatine (Anakin) and those in support of a coup (Windu, Yoda, Obi-Wan), with the latter group being forced underground. Some may even join the CIS. Public opinion of the Jedi was very low at this point, and the public would likely to side with Palpatine over the Jedi if a coup were to be attempted. Palpatine and Dooku would likely broker a peace agreement and unify against the Vong. When the threat had been taken care of, Palpatine would arrange for Dooku to die in an unfortunate “accident”, leaving himself as the sole ruler of the new Empire. Vader would be much more powerful without his injuries inflicted by Obi-Wan on Mustafar. The Rebel Alliance would form, led by the exiled Jedi.
@@RikkiTikkiTavi290Lucasfilm has stated that the Clone Wars series is both Canon and Legends, although it doesn't fit very well into the previously established Legends content.
@@Lunarchy421 then a person can take whatever view they want on the topic. The chips may or may not be in play in this scenario because it is legends and we have contradicting things. So no point arguing and both are right
This was a really interesting video, and espeically interesting if both the Republic and Separatists would join forces against the Vong, I would really like to see how the cooperation of the two factions would play out
Its scenarios like this that make me wonder how dangerous Grievous would've been with an actual army. He was held back by the droids sheer inability to work without numbers. Just imagine if he was in charge of creating an army like the clones but trained the way he wanted it.
That as an incredible analysis, especially outlining Palpatine’s plot to purge the Jedi like at the end of the Clone Wars. That like button 10/10 would smash again.
Thrawn would also be around , though in the outer rim at the time (certainly easy enough to have the Chiss under attack in the early part pf tje war to get him to join in though) Honestly always thought if he'd been around for the Vong War, they would have had a much harder time of invading.
#AskEck how would the galaxy be affected if armies in the clone wars were reversed? The Republic has droid army (with the same exact droids b1 and b2s etc.)led by Jedi and the CIS has the jango fett clones? P.s. I love videos covering the vong and the legacy era
You should do a video like this where they invade the old republic during the mandalorian wars, like when canderous ordo found the vong scout asleep in the asteroid
Good analysis. Besides technology being significantly less advanced back then, I also think it ultimately comes down to palpatine's ability to just unite the CIS and the republic as soon as the Vong arrive. If he could do that, they could consolidate their forces and immediately begin working on machines that would more effectively combat the Vong. Something not mentioned here is the the fact that the jedi can basically see the future, the reason they don't do this very well in the prequels is because the entire time they were, palpatine was stiffling them all. Hypothetically if it ever got to a point where palpatine thought that the Vong were actually going to be able to take control over the entire galaxy, I'm sure he would have let go of that hold over the remaining jedi, allowing for a more sure victory. But then again, we have seen proof that palpatine's only real goal was for him to be in control of the galaxy, maybe if revealing himself became the only other option, he'd just choose risking death just so he doesn't get arrested by the jedi and risk losing his seat of power. Hard to say.
I remember in the Legends verse during the Yuuzhan Vong War there was the Orange Panthacs a platoon of B2 super battle droids were essential for beating back Yuuzhan Vong invasion of Mantessa. The Yuuzhan Vong force which included Fire Breathers which were massive biological flame-throwing walker tanks that were capable of withstand anything short of a Turbolaser.
I'm just imagining Grevious fighting several Vong warriors, fighting a couple of then with lightsabers while killing another couple by just crushing their windpipes with the unholy amount of raw power and physical strength in his various arms. I also just think it's funny that if the Empire had still been in charge when the Vong showed up and were at significant strength, they likely would have crushed the Vong in short order after they actually reached the galaxy.
Imagine this: A battlefield filled with driods and clones fighting together and after a intense-none-stopping battle and chaos they managed to kill all the Vong. Shouts of victory came along but then… an awkward silence came, they all stared to one and another… and then mayhem started all over again.
The Vong series and Jacen's arc in particular is one of my favourite storylines especially how it feeds into another favourite Abeloth's story. I think the Vong would win with there Grav and Bio Tech even with Sekot backing the GA.. 😎
Like any threat, an invasion by the Yuuzhang Vong would’ve seen a United galaxy pretty fast. Palpatine does indeed control both sides, but I think the Seperatist Parliament and military leaders would’ve fought to unite and fight off the invaders. It’s an all hands on deck scenario - Palpatine would’ve started speeding up troop manufacturing on both sides, immense efforts would be put into building capital ships, and even a third army might’ve been raised of both humans and aliens rather than clones and droids. In times of desperation, a lot of work can be done. It doesn’t really go any further than that, fear would force everybody to devote 100% to the war effort. Though at a disadvantage due to the time period a lot of skilled warriors such as Grevious, Windu, Dooku, and the entire Jedi Order was around. Not to mention the forces of other worlds like the Death Watch.
I imagine this going similarly to the Scrin Invasion in Command and Conquer 3. The invaders strike in the middle of a massive war, which actually turns out to not be to their advantage. A faction fully mobilized for total war is a much greater threat than one that was experiencing peacetime (unless the war has completely drained their resources/population), as they can deploy their full strength immediately. Especially if the invaders have far fewer resources than the locals. Once the element of surprise wears off, the invaders are playing catch-up as they try to acquire local resources to survive the oncoming war of attrition, and their technological advantage can only mitigate the enemy's numerical/resource advantage for so long. The grand truce of the local factions might not even be necessary.
Later down the line it would be amazing to see Disney to make a movie like this... almost like an alternate timeline movie. It was be awesome to see Anakin, Obi Wan, Yoda, Mace Windu, Dooku, Grevious, Ashoka, Ventress, or maybe even Maul all fight on the same side... along with both of their armies.
Have you done a video on when the PERFECT time would have been for the Vong to invade? Such as right after the death of Palpatine, or maybe Thrawn? Please consider it if you haven't already made one. Thanks Eck, love your content, keep it up!
I can honestly say that the length of the conflict would make it harder and harder for Palpatine to maintain his position of power and hence his cover. I truly think that the jedi were onto regaining their sight, as even Obi Wan had told Anakin in the jedi temple that Palpatine had been in office way past his time and that he needed to search his feelings because something wasnt right. The council would not have overlooked Palpatine just because of the Vong. Perhaps Palpatine would've been exposed or more likely to have been removed from office before being able to execute order 66. That's just my take though.
If Republic and CIS worked together I believe they would be very effective against the Vong. Hoardes of droids as the main bulk and the more specialized Clones in the back. I think tech of the ships and vehicles of the era would be not great but okay. More force users and "heroes from both sides" would help greatly- Grievous alone would slaughter lots of them.
@@RikkiTikkiTavi290 except that the CIS had a prototype weapon that could kill all organic material and leave technology undamaged. The CIS can essentially 1 shot the entire vong fleet if they scaled it up
Spectacular Video! As always, keep up the great work. I love this period of the New Republic. Mostly because it was the first book series I got into for the Star Wars expanded Universe. I would have loved to see more interaction between the Vong and the Ssi-ruuk. Seeing as how they used Entechment to imprison the life force of a living creature within a mechanical drone. I can just imagine the xenophobic extragalactic invasers equating this to the ultimate heresy and obliterating the whole Ssi-ruuk Cluster. Seeking to drive each and every Ssi-ruu to extinction. I also love picturing the Ssi-ruuk fighting Yuuzhan Vong with their own enslaved warriors. Forced to kill their own in a tragic war of Biotics verses Robotics. It's a bummer this was only hinted at in some of the New Jedi Order novels and not further expanded on.
Dude I know this is irrelevant but I LOVE your choice in music for these videos. Using essentially the entire Electronic Gems repituar of amazing songs. (also this video is really good, didn't want to comment without at least saying something about the content on hand and not the background.)
What if Anakin never turned to the Darkside, Padme never died, but Luke and Leia were taken by Sidious? What if Bail Organa took in both Luke and Leia? What if Earth was in Star Wars? (Boofire191 version)
If Bail took Luke and Leia, Kenobi would actually be on Alderaan (probably a secret advisor for Bail under an alias) and would secretly train Luke and Leia at a young age. Luke and Leia would probably be both on the cruiser when they get the secret plans. Vader would capture them and the Rebellion would be destroyed due to the fact that Luke wouldn’t be able to save Leia and they wouldn’t be meet Han and Chewie. (Along with C3P0 and R2 roaming Tatooine with the plans until the Stormtroopers find them). OR! Luke would probably be on Yavin4 with the Rebels during Rouge One and probably join in at the battle of Scariff as a pilot and then is tasked to retrieve the plan on Tatooine and save Leia (with a small group of Rebels) on the Death Star. As for Kenobi, he would’ve either died on Alderaan when the Death Star destroys it or is on Yavin4 with the Rebels and lives on as a Jedi Master to Luke and Leia. So those are my theories of Luke and Leia if they were both adopted by Bail.
@@eruannaundomiel8419 Luke and Leia would've been Jedi Knights by episode 4 if Obi-Wan trained them. They'd be far more competent. I'd see it where Obi-Wan, Luke, and Leia all go to acquire the Death Star plans. In the end, Obi-Wan sacrifices himself to allow Luke and Leia to escape with the DS plans. They'd crash land on Tatooine. They'd hire Han to transport them to Alderan to give the Rebellion the DS plans. The Death Star is in orbit around Alderaan. Honestly, if Luke and Leia become Jedi Knights by episode 4. I'd think Obi-Wan would tell them the truth. They'd know Vader is their father. I think Luke and Leia would decide to sabotage the DS from the inside. Han would try to dissuade them. In reality, Leia would want revenge on Vader for killing Obi-Wan. Luke and Leia would confront Vader. Luke would realize there's still light within Vader. He'd call out to Vader. In the end, I'd say Luke and Leia would redeem Vader, especially without Palpatine being there. They'd either steal or destroy the Death Star.
i think that as soon as realized how nuts the Vong went when they saw droids, Palpatine would occasionally allow them to discover the location of one of the CIS's main factories. the Vong rush in, blood drunk and uncoordinated, and Palpatine would send in the Jedi with just enough clones to make sure they won, but with heavy Jedi casualties. rinse and repeat every few months until both the Vong and the CIS are crippled, destroy the leadership of both, execute Order 66, and voila! on interstellar Empire, hold the onions

Can you do the Forerunners vs The Warhammer 40k galaxy and all it's factions?
I believe that palpatiene would have to deal with way less rebellions in the aftermath of the wars (vong ans Clone wars ) as he would not be seen as an evil ruler but more a compitent one who did everything he could to save the galaxy (that resoulted in the death of the jedi ). also wouldnt the ARC 130 dominate the skies since it was probably better than the x-wings in a multirole Space fighter that could carry diferent bombs and probably Buzz droids

It would be cool to see how the Vong would flip out at the sight of Grievous.
Now I want Grievous slaughtering Vongs
Grevious would totally be a match for vong warriors too. He can track them and their weapons, eliminating any speed advantage, and wouldn't be overwhelmed by their attacks since he can fend them off with one limb and attack with the others. I hope your ready general.
I could imagine them betting which forces would fair better in battle. xD
I'd also like to see Anakin, Dooku, clones, droids, admiral Trench, and Yuralen team up against the Vong.

Vong could be immobilized or straight up killed by Electric Judgment, and were put through excruciating pain that they couldn't train for or develop a tolerance against, killed, or flat out obliterated by Sith Lightning.

If you have never seen my fan fictions before also feel free to check out my Star Wars Fan Fiction works.

Theory:
The Vong were prepared to invade shortly after TPM but were given pause when their probes discovered a massive build up of clone and droid armies in a short amount of time.
It's stated in the books that the Vong had been spying on the galaxy for decades before the invasion, and that The Empire under the leadership of Palpatine would have provided a much more formidable adversary, especially given their planet-killer superweapons that would have obliterated the Vong worldships used to traverse the galactic divide.
sir thats not a thoery please edit your comment and reply to your comment
That sounds like a politicians theory. As a true warrior would know that a civil war would actually make the galaxy MORE difficult to invade afterwards. As the survivors would come out of such a war much stronger, determined and battle hardened - with their war machines intact. A tactically savvy Commander would have invaded while both sides were at war - split and worrying about themselves - not each other. The enemy already DIVIDED themselves - they would merely need to CONQUER whatever/whomever was left.
@@marcoslaureano5562 Let's see you figure out why they didn't invade during the CW. 😛

The Governor you realize that the CIS had nukes right? Those things would destroy the Vong
the CIS itself would absolutely decimate the Vong.
If it was'nt for the plot the cis would never exist. They were palpatines creation all along kind of an invalid argument here.
Yeah, imagine them using those b3 battle droids agains the vongs
In KOTOR, Canderous Ordo mentions a star fighter that appeared to be an asteroid which I interpreted to be a coral skipper
Too bad we never got much more about that in the game
Also
There was an unmade episode of Clone Wars that featured them
Which is canon to Legends
James Burgess Revan was also supposed to show up at one point too.
I reached that part in the game like three days ago, and I was so excited.
Now imagine if they invaded during the Disney time line.
The galaxy is fucked
Would've made the trilogy better
Wouldn't even be a fight, just an invasion
Naw Rey would solo all of them if Disney was writing the story
Cue Palpy going "No, NO" as the Clankers unite with the Republic's Finest
An unshackled CIS would crush them.
A unshackled Republic would probably be closer to the current war but with a bigger death count for clones unless the Vong wipes out their clone facility (Really dumb of the Republic to not plan for a back up if their *1* planet gets wiped out leaving them without a fighting force)
#AskEck What if the Jedi didn’t get involved in the Clone Wars?
Then the Separatists would have won, mostly because Palpatine would have used them to hunt down the Jedi.
That would mean the first Battle of geonosis wouldn't have happened
The very idea of the Republic and the CIS teaming up to fight the Vong is an awesome image in my head
Dooku might play fair but Grievous would likely go on a bi-factional killing spree
Reminds me of the Galactic Alliance in SWTOR during KOTFE/KOTET.
'your vong staffs will make a fine addition to my collection!'
#AskEck In Revenge of the Sith when Mace Windu said "the oppression of the Sith will never return" was he referring to a specific era of Sith rule in the galaxy?
probably the old republic era under vitiate
Yes. A few of them actually. The Great Galactic War resulted in about half the known galaxy under the direct rule of the Sith Empire
The Great Galactic War, Jedi Civil War, Cold War. The list just goes on and on, so it's hard to really specify what era he was referring to.
BOOMER WAVE The New Sith War Era was basically under the New Sith Empire's thumb honestly. If they had worked together in those last few hundred years, the Galactic Republic woulda got wiped...
Mace was talking about the sith empire as a whole, the sith under each of it's major rulers were often cruel and oppressive.
Watch Rex and the boys in blue crush a whole Vong attack lmao
Ze Medic could happen but I think in this situation Rex and fives would sacrifice themselves against the vong
Grievous and Obi Wan would have been fighting side by side.
Cyrus Rogers I'd love to see them say:
Grievous: "General Kenobi ?"
Obi-Wan: "Hello There !"
*Hundreds of Vong start rushing them*
Both of them: "May the Force Be With Us !" and charge deadass into the warriors and start pulling a 300 on all of them 😎😎😎
On an unrelated note, we were *this* to having the Yuuzhan Vong in the Clone Wars TV show. *THIS* close! :(
How so
Captain Cutter better off without them
Captain Cutter how close?
Vong: Lemme invade this galaxy
Palpatine:??? Nani?
Vong: Crap they got droids, I hate droids!
Palpatine: *Starts producing an army of general grievous*
A united galaxy of droids, clones, Jedi, Sith, and other species in between would be fairly difficult for the Vong but after years of war they may be unwilling allies
Palpatine: Execute Order-
*The Vong appear*
Palpatine: New plan. Execute them.
i would like this comment but...
Minus 4 Jedi Master's it'd be tougher
Battle droid: roger roger
Clone trooper: you understand me tin can
I liked it. Especially your thoughts on Palpatine. The only thing I would have mentioned more is the Clone Troopers. They wouldn't have the same psychological effect on the Vong as droids, but they're more adaptable and extremely proficient in all areas of warfare (which would help even out the naval playing field).
it's an interesting match, but at that point, the republic had victories, mark 1 imperial star destroyer's, and the Mandator 1 and 2 dreadnaughts, and very powerful starfighter's, and the CIS being as flexible and creative as they are able to create a lot of ship's that fit the missing link the Republic needs
the Jedi were more organized and greater in number in this time and would prove to be difficult for them
palpatine would know they are a threat as he knows about them so he would have united the galaxy to fight the Vong, however, whatever happens after is a mystery
with this said, what happens, despite the technology being lower grade compared to the new republic, would probably be beaten with far less casualties when compared to the new republic
i didnt even know i wanted this question answered so badly, well done man! :D
Obi wan and general Grievous fighting together against yuuzhan vong warriors, two enemies united by a common threat

Ive honestly been waiting until someone did a video on this, I loved it

From my understanding of the extended universe it seems that Palpatine was creating his super weapons with the intent to kill the Vong. A death star makes a whole lot more sense when you have all those worldships incoming.
The VONG! That's Yuuzhan Vong-phobic Eckharts.

ReggieBeegus There was also how he felt emotions wise in how disgusted he was with how he looked.
But yes
That as an incredible analysis, especially outlining Palpatine’s plot to purge the Jedi like at the end of the Clone Wars. That like button 10/10 would smash again.
This is probably the coolest fanfic idea you can have.
I think there is a chance that Sidious could use the vong as an excuse to unite the galaxy under his empire.
OOF. How have I not seen this video of yours until now??? 😭 Just started it. Excited to see it through! 😄

It would’ve been amazing if the sequel trilogy had been about the Vong trying to conquer the galaxy
Imagine this:
A battlefield filled with driods and clones fighting together and after a intense-none-stopping battle and chaos they managed to kill all the Vong.
The Vong would spank a Clone Wars era Star Wars galaxy because of vastly superior capital ships and a totally different level of brutality.

Luke and Leia would've been Jedi Knights by episode 4 if Obi-Wan trained them.

Palpatine is a force in himself war strategy wise, and thats pretty much where the Vong would be overwhelmed.
