I like that, even though you don't necessarily like riding on the street, the people you passed on the sidewalk were still accommodating. In the US, people tend to get grouchy when bikes are on sidewalks.
It's technically illegal to ride on the pavement here but it's never enforced and most pedestrians don't really care. Some roads I feel are dangerous so I go on the pavement
Thanks for revisiting this with an after-some-use review, I’m still considering one of these for myself! I’ve noticed a lot of the areas you ride around, everything looks pretty much the same; do you find that peaceful for your rides or do you wish you had some more visually exciting surroundings?

I noticed that in spite of the fact that it is far into fall, the trees along your route are still mostly green, unlike here. The beauty of the vibrant autumn colors always amaze me. Such wonderful creation.
I noticed you talk a lot about "mph" and "stones" in the video. For us outside of UK, that literally means nothing. I realize it's extra work, but on-screen conversions would be very much appreciated!
Not happy with mine, level 3 does nothing and there is no after sales care when you have problems, and believe me, you do straight out the box. Avoid people.
You moan about the stem being loose, but that’s an admission that you didn’t put it together correctly in the first place. Your speed around pedestrians is excessive, you seem to forget they have priority, kids are unpredictable, but that will not be accepted as a defence.
Things I notice was that there was a lot of greenery such as trees, hedges, forests, The other things I noticed was that you guys have huge bike lanes to bike around, and then the final thing I noticed was that in the UK people are way more patient when driving in the US I don’t know maybe just me, have a good day!
I noticed that despite it being well into autumn, the trees in the route you too are still mainly green like it is here. It makes me sad, I miss colourful autumn's, I hope we get it in November.

I had a similar ebike and had the same issue with the pedals spinning out at higher speeds. I recommend changing the crank/chainring for a larger version. They usually come with a 50/52 teeth ring, so a 56/58T would let you pedal at higher speeds. Obviously you'd lose some low range, but I figured the motor can take care of big hills if needed.
I bought at Amazon the Milageto Single 45T/47T/53T/56T/58T 170mm Kurbel Arm Mountainbike Kettenradgarnitur 130BCD Einfach zu Ändern Kurbel Set with 58 teeth. Worjes perfect
The motor controller on my ADO 20 failed after 225kms....The wiring colours on some of the plugs are complete nonsense...The bikes great, Electronics and wiring not so much....🤔😳🇬🇧
There is a video on the ADO Channel with how to tighten the headset on the A20/A20F. I do like my one but having now taken it through its paces in a proper offroad situation yesterday I think its safe to say its fine about town and for forest trails/dirt roads but any proper off road stuff is going to far. I would also recommend getting a set of wider handlebars as well as I found the standard ones a little on the narrow side and lacking in slow speed control. I also noticed that changing the display to miles actually messes with the measurements and it under reads how far you have travelled, It almost looks as if they just do 1 mile = 2km after a few decent rides on mine.
Oh cool i missed that. They put a lot of videos out at one time maybe it was one of them.... yeah I'd imagine a folding bike wouldn't be great at mad off road stuff. More that the tires help it go over different surfaces.
You have a good point about the miles vs kilometres. My God gave a reading of 9.6 miles for a journey I knew was about that distance. But the display on my A20 gave a reading of 8.7 miles. When I put it back to KM. It gave a reading of 9.6 miles when converted from KM.
I noticed the area you were riding around was very beautiful and green. I would expect to see orange/red leafs because it is early fall but it is still very pretty
You again and your moaning. You just carry a spare battery if you want longer range. 20.8AH beats 17. And any fat tyre bike with 17 AH will cost more than £1100. Be sure of that.

Just get a big universal saddle with a backrest. You wont worry about rear suspension after that. It's like floating down the road on your favourite sofa. Ass ache is a thing of the past.
I received (2) Ado A20F ebikes this week. I ordered them with the 500 Watt motor, but noticed that the motor near the back wheels both say 250W followed by a series of numbers. Does this mean I received a lower wattage ebike?? any assistance you can provide on this is greatly appreciated, I am in the USA.
I'm torn between buying the A20+ & the A20F+ Fat looks the biz but will attract unwanted attention. If I ever forget I'm not in America and ride derestricted past Brit Bobbies then I'm in hot water. The A20 doesn't look bad boy enough to attract that kind of attention should I forget which country I'm in as it doesn't have motorcycle-like tyres and appears to be a regular looking commuter bike. I also have to lug it up 4 flights of stairs as there is no lift where I live. Both are heavier than other ebikes but F is rather too weighty. I'm looking for a fun bike that I can use to commute as well as just go out and enjoy it. I live in a very hilly town surrounded by countryside. Yes, I know you're gonna say go Fat but... Does this bike attract the boys in blue? If I do go F then I'm having the mudguards as a necessity as I'll be riding canal paths to work... It also makes it look more bad ass from the back when I do ride the roads... Which is what I'm concerned about. Even if I'm simply pedalling this bad boy F can get me pulled over whereas the A20 simply blends in. Yes, I know I've answered my own question. I should buy the A20+ but... I really wanna ride that bad boy fatty. I have thought about just buying both but I don't want two bikes. I wish you could hire these for test drives... Decisions would be so much simpler!

20 inch wheels are a good size for a foldable bike and are big enough to go over bumps with ease especially as they're fat tires. They're also the same size as the retro ebikes like the super73's. But yeah they're smaller than the standard mtb size of about 26 inches.

It's generally ok to cycle on the footpath as long as I remember everyone else has right of way. Also sometimes the road is scary. And possibly. But unlike escooters, ebikes are disguised as legal 250 watt ebikes.... this one does come restricted to 250w and no throttle though so it's legal if you don't mess.
Took it on a ride in easter with someone else on an engwe ep2 pro. Held up decently but was made to look bad by the more powerful bike with lighter rider. Thinking about upgrading it since it looks so good.

Man, I'd like to build me a hybrid mountain bike/commuter mid-hub e-bike. Kinda like a dual-sport motorcycle. Also, you seem fine with the open face helmet, but do you think a visored helmet would benefit e-bike riders? Or are the speeds low enough that the drag reduction isn't worth it? Also it might look silly on a bicycle lol.
how is the law there? here in belgium and the Netherlands the fastest bikes you can buy go 40 km/h. you are also obligated to have a license plate together with a car driving license.
@@VRCauldron In theory. In reality nobody is following these laws. Where I love in Croydon London. You have hundreds of delivery riders going over 20mph. One I spoke too had a 1000w motor on his bike. And could go over 30mph. The only people I've ever seen stopped are people on high powered scooters. That are cutting up traffic at 35mph plus.
@@fender1000100 yeah, it definitely helps that ebikes are legal in some form. That way if police see an ebike it's not an automatic target unlike scooters.
One thing I noticed in this video is there seems to be alot of nice cycle paths where you live compared to where I live, we have one main cycle path and then everything else is road which with some of the drivers isn't always the best thing when in a bike..

Depends on the length. Long grass maybe 25-30 kph? I go over the grass for quite a distance in my amazon locker ride (second vid I think) on my other channel.
You got going really fast on the way home. Warning the Kiwi facial interface is incompatible with the glasses spacer. Unfortunately I learned that after I bought it and the cost to return it is so high it’s not worth even trying. So that is a major downside to Ordering from Kiwi.
@@VRCauldron The shipping for me is about the same cost as the item. When stuff like that happens people are less likely to buy. No one really considered buying shoes online until Zappos offered free returns. I get Kiwi is a small company, but this hurts them. The controller grips and head-strap you have shown look great, but now it a bigger gamble to purchase them. I’d rather order competing products via Amazon where I know I can return them. At the time I ordered my facial interface from Kiwi I couldn’t get via Amazon. They just had the old Quest 1 version.

It don't have good range it's not for long distances it's need a 17amp battery instead of the 10.4amp weak.

Having used my ebike for a bit and others, front and rear suspension is important. It would be nice if folding ebikes had both.
Agreed. You can get suspension seat posts though. Not sure how good they are.

There's a good chance they are 250w because mine says 500. But if you weigh under 100kg and it can get you to around 24 mph then it's most likely 500w

Seems the same. The battery can be popped out (see the initial review). So can be swapped.

Man, I'd like to build me a hybrid mountain bike/commuter mid-hub e-bike. Kinda like a dual-sport motorcycle.
Also, you seem fine with the open face helmet, but do you think a visored helmet would benefit e-bike riders? Or are the speeds low enough that the drag reduction isn't worth it? Also it might look silly on a bicycle lol.
I think if you don't mind wearing it it's always worth going full face. I just fancied open face today.

how is the law there? here in belgium and the Netherlands the fastest bikes you can buy go 40 km/h. you are also obligated to have a license plate together with a car driving license.
Ebikes up to 25kph and 250 watts are ok. Anything more powerful is classed as a moped and needs registering

In theory. In reality nobody is following these laws. Where I love in Croydon London. You have hundreds of delivery riders going over 20mph. One I spoke too had a 1000w motor on his bike. And could go over 30mph.
The only people I've ever seen stopped are people on high powered scooters. That are cutting up traffic at 35mph plus.
@@fender1000100 yeah, it definitely helps that ebikes are legal in some form. That way if police see an ebike it's not an automatic target unlike scooters.
One thing I noticed in this video is there seems to be alot of nice cycle paths where you live compared to where I live, we have one main cycle path and then everything else is road which with some of the drivers isn't always the best thing when in a bike..
Yeah there's one big one for the stretch I rode but quite often there's nothing.

How fast does the bike travel on grass
Depends on the length. Long grass maybe 25-30 kph? I go over the grass for quite a distance in my amazon locker ride (second vid I think) on my other channel.

Warning the Kiwi facial interface is incompatible with the glasses spacer. Unfortunately I learned that after I bought it and the cost to return it is so high it’s not worth even trying. So that is a major downside to Ordering from Kiwi.
Is that because you have to pay for postage? I've had their interface for a while but haven't got round to testing it.
@@VRCauldron The shipping for me is about the same cost as the item. When stuff like that happens people are less likely to buy. No one really considered buying shoes online until Zappos offered free returns. I get Kiwi is a small company, but this hurts them. The controller grips and head-strap you have shown look great, but now it a bigger gamble to purchase them. I’d rather order competing products via Amazon where I know I can return them. At the time I ordered my facial interface from Kiwi I couldn’t get via Amazon. They just had the old Quest 1 version.
