If you were on a SUR RON X OR JUICED SCORPION tearing up the road at 35mph sure you might get stopped. Ive had my ADO A20F for 6 months. And I have gone up to 42kph. 26mph. And never been stopped. If I see any police I simply GHOST PEDAL. Remember 25mph is achievable by alot of fit road bike users even faster. And besides where I live in croydon. There are hundreds of delivery riders. Flying around at 20 plus mph on souped up ebikes. Nobodies stopping them. If you are that concerned about it. Just scrape off the details on the motor and spray over it. But again in London where I live you are very unlikely to have a problem. They are more interested in high powered SCOOTERS. And E MOTORBIKES. Once you go over 30mph. That's when you draw their attention.
@@Techtablets Definitely review the Suntour NCX-12 seatpost if you are doing this. So many people could do with buying these. The XOOM semihydraulic brakes are also easy to self-install and make braking smoother, if not stronger.

If you’re after this style fat wheel 20” foldable I highly recommend the new HIMO ZB20 I’m just testing it now for a review and it’s the best. The ADO here isn’t as good the build quality compared to the Fiido M1 or Engwe Engine Pro. But then HIMO ZB20 is even better than those build wise.
For a foldable, what's the weight? It has the handle to help carrying, but if it's 40 kilos, it's not going to be easy... Does it have any mechanism to keep the bike folded besides "gravity" ;) ?
I received (2) Ado A20F ebikes this week. I ordered them with the 500 Watt motor, but noticed that the motor near the back wheels both say 250W followed by a series of numbers. Does this mean I received a lower wattage ebike?? any assistance you can provide on this is greatly appreciated. From USA
It's a shame that they didn't address the key placement. Not only is it super awkward to insert the key (with stiff cables blocking the keyhole) but if you ever have to ride it in the rain, the whole underside (including the key) is caked in mud like on the A20. Removing the battery is also pretty awkward even in the best of conditions.
Removing the battery is easy. I carry a spare in my bike bag. And always swap over as soon as I get to work 11 mile journey. So I can go top speed there and back. And it takes two minutes. As for the keys I have some bin liner covering that area with a few rubber bands. So they never get dirty. Simple solution.

That's right my ADO A20F Carrie's me 27mph unlocked. And it's the coolest looking fat tyre ebike ever made. One of my work colleagues calls it the batman bike. It's so solid it looks military GRADE. Like the hummer of ebikes.

The A20F is a much better bike. It's faster more stable and has better suspension. The things I recommend you change are the BRAKES AND THE SADDLE. Comfort and ultimate safety are EVERYTHING. I put a big universal saddle on mine with a backrest. And it looks super AWESOME. And I can ride for hours and not feel any ass ache. It's as comfortable as any car or moped. You already have SPARE batteries. So you are good to go. If you get a universal saddle with a backrest this then allows you to attach a ruck sack to the saddle. And you can carry a spare battery in there. It's better than using a rear rack. As the weight is more central. And affects the balance and physics of the bike alot less.

You need to pedal steep climbs on any ebike. It's just alot easier than most push bikes. Unless you have an 8KG carbon road bike. But then you trade speed for security. As those kind of bikes can break very easily.
Hold down the plus and MINUS buttons to go into the P CODES. Go to P8. And change it from 25km to 100. Come out and that's it. Providing you ordered the INTERNATIONAL model. You will get anthing from 35 to 45KM top speed. Depending on your WEIGHT. I weigh 171lbs about 78KG. And I get a top speed of 41kph (25mph) on the flat unlocked.

I think if you ride a lot in the rain and mud it might be best to put some electrical tape over it. I'm not sure if it came with a plug and it was lost in transit or they simply don't put one one which is not good.
The motor is rated nominally. According to regions you get 250-500w. Since their majority of buisness is done in EU they're limited to 25kmh/250w. The international version is 500w.

There is only one thing that I don't like. Only one sprocket on the front. Having another sprocket with less teeth would be amazing, as this e-bike has 20 inch wheels, it would be easier to ride it while pedaling uphill. If the battery dies then you will strugle to ride it. For 800€ I'd rather buy a cheap used bicycle and convert it with a 500W kit, it won't look as nice as this one tho.

The problem with all these bikes is that are for short or medium height people. If you are tall it is not comfortable because the seat post does not go higher
Be warned. This bike is illegal in the EU without registration as a moped, moto. Why? Has 350W motor. Secondly has accelerator that works without pedal assist more than 6kph. The Chinese manufacturers never advertise this fact. Police in EU are fining people for non registered bikes that do not conform to pedelec EU law. Recommend do not buy unless intent is for bike to be registered.
@Steve 75 My understanding is same rules apply in UK. UK pedelec law has not changed to my best knowledge post Brexit. Hence best buy a UK pedelec compliant ebike. UK gov website explains all.
@Steve 75 no one will be able to to tell because you have exactly the same bike thats complies with Eu rules. I have a similar fat tire bike, 350w and I go past police every day. Just be a responsible adult and they won't say anything. All these delivery guys would have have at least 500w motors.

I would get the HIMO ZB20 Max it has a much better build quality overall. But yes the fat tires are more comfortable.

You need to open it, tighten it up and then close it again.

This is better overall. If you want a bit more speed the M1 PRO has a top speed of 28mph. This has a top speed of 25mph.

I can't remember but I think about 36 kilos. Very heavy. No mech to hold it closed when folder but yes gravity will do it!

That is quite easy and simple to fix, I got it done for a similar bike and I will do the same for this one. Use a 3M felt around the battery head.

As per the video test. You still need to pedal with steep climbs a little.

Not sure you mean the computer, I think there are guides online on how to adjust it via the trip computer.

Thats all you have to do. Wrap some black insulating tape around it. And simply take out the battery to charge. Problem solved.

Yes. Some dealers use 350 as a power output to comply with European law.
The EU version is locked at 350 and can be unlocked to 500. The international version is already 500w and doesnt need to be unlocked.

I wanted to get the Fiido X but the only thing that held me back was that it doesn't have a throttle, only pedal assist.
Not with ADO they have good quality at good value. I've had the 20 for 5 months no issues.
