Hello everryone. Alex and I are back with another discussion of a famous early Washington Irving tale, 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.' We talk about Ichabod Crane as a cautionary tale for a "new man" moving to an insular American village. What does the killing of Ichabod, the supersitious, voracious, friend-zoned school teacher tell us about American openness to the stranger?

Excellent and interesting analysis, thank you.
After watching the Majority Report today, I decided to give Literary Hangover a try. First Rip Van Winkle, then Sleepy Hollow. Great stuff, guys. Then I listened to both on audio book. Then watched a dramatization of Rip. All while downing half a case of beer. There won't be a hangover though. I'll be ready to give The Spy a shot tomorrow.
Is there a SoundCloud or something for more episodes or is it just this TH-cam page? I’d love to listen to more episodes.
Yep it's available as a podcast, in most places podcasts are listed. no plans for soundcloud specifically unfortunately
Okay, thanks a lot.
