Good luck to Patrick "tiny hands" Mahomes in the AFC championship game. I didn't think of Mahomes as having tiny hands until Nick said Brock Purdy has tiny hands like a thousand times, which convinced me that 9.25" hands (size of both Purdy and Mahomes' hands, according to NFL combine) is indeed tiny. Nick brings up YPG for Chiefs defense. Yeah, who was the best on that stat this year? The Browns. Who exposed the Browns' defense in the playoffs this year? The Texans. Whose defense crushed the Texans in the playoffs this year? The Ravens. See where I'm going with this? I think yards allowed is a very weak defensive stat. Points are king, and then you want to weigh by the offenses they played.

I'm a Chiefs fan and the Ravens are definitely the favorites in this matchup. They have the MVP QB and the #1 defense. That's HUGE, and while the Chiefs have the BEST QB and a top 5 defense, the Ravens just look like the better team going into this game. Does that mean you should bet against the Chiefs? Absolutely not. The Chiefs have a way of making it a competition until the final second, regardless of who they're playing, and it's very likely that this game comes down to one or two big plays. I hope my Chiefs get the win, but I have mad respect for the Ravens and if they get the win I think they win it all.

Ravens caused 31 turnovers, Chiefs 18. Baltimore had a +12 differential #1 in the NFL, the Chiefs were -11, 28th. That ain't a wash.

But I do know that you get that same Brady feeling with Mahomes, and like if it's close, and Mahomes team will do anything and everything to make sure the game doesn't get away from them, Mahomes will somehow pull it off once again. That feeling is worth a lot, it's why you might have nobody-knows-who-he-is special team player try to block a little better, or a receiver run just that much faster....you KNOW Mahomes will be there for you. Lamar is awesome, but he's going to have to prove he is that good himself.

I don't understand how it's even been a question whether the Ravens should be the favorite. As a Packers fan, the Ravens have been the best team all season. The Chiefs had an ok season at best. I understand Mahomes is great, but like I've been saying, this was Patrick's worst season stat-wise. Not to mention, they lead the league in drops.

As a chiefs fan, I must admit that Baltimore being favored is fair. I'm surprised the line is not bigger tbh. The big problem with this matchup is that on top of the ravens being the better team, they are also a bad matchup for the chiefs. The chiefs have had a mediocre rush defense all season, despite excelling in most other areas, and that is the raven's strongest weapon. If they commit to run-stopping, Lamar is a legitimately elite passer now and he can pass it to the open receiver. Not to mention, Baltimore's defensive front is the best in the league in pressuring opposing QBS. Sending four for them is enough to generate consistent pressure every play meaning Mahomes won't be given as much time to stand back and let a route open up. I hope the chiefs can pull it out and it is every given sunday, but the odds are stacked against them.

If Mahomes doesn't deserve to be an underdog now, he never deserves to be. On the flip side, if Lamar looks good this weekend and Mahomes still manages to find a win, Mahomes may never be considered to be a playoff underdog again.

Vegas doesn't play into narratives. Nobody will never be the underdog. Vegas goes off current season analytics, at most they may use some of the previous years playoffs if relevant but that's it.

The defensives are fundamentally completely different. KC is running a basic cover-2 late rotation with some man concepts, Baltimore is running a try split safety with rolling fronts. The difference is the stress they put on the other QB. I believe mahomes is going to have a harder time reading out protections and coverages then Lamar will with the blitz packages. Thats really what the game comes down to. Mahomes can slow it down and read out a D but will he do so under pressure or if they’re playing from behind

@@TawandaTD97he’s not comparing who has experience or not. Ravens’ different schemes and personnel is what gives them a more complicated challenge then Chiefs present to Lamar Jackson. Baltimore has ability to create simulated pressures and Chiefs can blitz with less exotic pressures and fronts. That being said I do believe the Ravens win big. I don’t think those tackles for Chiefs will hold up.

I think Baltimore are an entirely different beast. I think they win and the Chiefs go out. That said the Chiefs deserve all the respect in the world.

Brock would be a bottom tier qb in the afc north, his small hands can’t grip a wet ball. He is also 1-3 against the afc north this year. He got lucky he is on the 9ers.
I see it as entertaining like watching a comedy. At 14:20 I was seriously smirking listening to him list off just about every dude in the NFL and how far they've gotten in the playoffs except Purdy. There’s so much more to a game than how well the QB played. If the Chiefs win it doesn’t necessarily mean Mahomes played a better game than Jackson or visa versa. Special teams and turnovers and individual matchups and penalties and coaching and clock management and injuries all play a key role. It’s not just which QB played better or which QB is better.
