Massive step for such a small company to go through the process of producing new components. Hopefully there is a market for you to sell these in the future.
I made outdoor light fixture lenses by 3D printing the mold in ABS of the lens off the 3D scan and subtracted the acrylic sheet material thickness. We got 50 hits before having to repair the mold where the mold was deforming and needed to be refilled. You could vaccume the vynl and abs sheet plastic to get a soft dash on the same mold. Save the fiberglass for production of 100+ parts.
Excellent work as usual! Nice to see someone explaining and showing the thought process and prototypes, I'm guessing that since the new shop you are sleeping whilst standing for about 30 seconds at a time! 😂
@@endakhudson you should be, I bought an American cover for my ‘72 spitfire and it was a swine to fit and only glued in place with silicone so a cover or better still new part is a great achievement. The biggest curse of aftermarket parts is bits that are not quite up to the mark in terms of fit or quality.
Fantastic , You know the demand is there , Someone just needs to take the plunge and step up to the plate , I understand its not your direction but could be a good little side earner especially if you flung a left hook into the equation for all country's . I enjoy your approach and enthusiasm , Keep em coming .
Thanks Mate! It's definitely in my mind. Still a bit to go re designing an AC facia to go with it before we have a complete solution, but you're right, plenty of classics out there desperate for an interior freshenup!
V. impressive work (as usual), I think if you were to make that symmetrical (giving the option to finish off the R/L passenger side however) you would have a world-beater suitable for all markets, there must be a great deal of demand out there...
Thanks Martin, appreciate the comment :) At this stage I’m not that interested in mass producing and trying to sell to the wider market. Instead try refine it and roll something out that we’re all proud of here! If others like it, we’ll look at the feasibility of selling it.
Once again I'm very impressed with the steps you take to make these vehicles better. I'm hoping you're able to get these and the lower dash plastic available for people to purchase for their projects. WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR HAIR??????????????
Thanks mate - much appreciated! Once we have a complete solution with the AC facia we will definitely explore that avenue :) Ahahahah regarding the hair, it was time for a change! gotta keep everyone guessing!
Something we’ve thought about. However this iteration suits the early Classics which we currently have in the workshop! We might go down that track and explore that as latter classics roll in!

Appreciate it mate! thank you!
Once again mate you’ve outdone yourself. You should’ve stoked! Super keen to watch how this pans out.

That's cool. Well done.

Thanks Matt, 😂 We certainly have been a bit sleep deprived but loving the process!
So intensely pleasing to see the moulding forming up. This is fast becoming the gold standard of restoration.
it's certainly been a mission to make that final process go smoothly, but we're stoked with the final product, thanks John!

This is great news. 1995 rrc dash next pls! 😊
Really cool. Love the look of the final vacuum formed version. Great work.
Thank you!
again Nice work; I think people would like to buy it off you!
There's still a bit more to go i.e. AC facia before we have a complete kit, but we'll see how we go :)

Definitely in the pipeline!
That's badass mate
Thanks mate!

Looks like a fantastic product. OEM dash has not stood the test of time 😅
Thanks mate! Unfortunatelty not, particularly to the Australian sun!
You got the lines slick and beautiful big guy!👌💪
What happened to the cool hair?
Thanks Murray! Ahahahha was getting in the way of the work!

this is totally wicked. Can this be adapted or modified to suit a 1991 Classic with the grab handle on the left and "sunken" recess in the middle?

@@endakhudson Thank you for your reply. ok. Is there any chance of asking you questions on other parts of RR classic build hacks?
That’s very impressive. Why not market them?
Thanks Peter! At this stage, we’re more focused on building something we’re proud of and rolling it out on all internal builds first.
