For years I always thought Apone said "We're rolling operations" which didn't make sense. I realize now he said "We're all in Operations."
no...i wont be giving money to people who watch films out of order. Later.
@@goaway152 Why you even here then? When I first saw Aliens, it was probably just out on video, maybe 1987. I didn't even know Alien existed, so the chest burster surprised me just as much. I didn't get to see the original until probably 1993 or so. Love them both.
I guess for you, Alien is the prequel to Aliens. lol
The heart-wrenching story of two mothers fighting for custody of an orphaned girl.
Well, more like they were try to kill each other's child.
@@DocMicrowave First joke?
@@laserpanda94 I thought it was the second.
The title for James Cameron's original screenplay was Mother. Not Aliens: Mother or Alien 2:Mother. But just...Mother.
This is the sequel to Alien. Ya watched em out of order.
We realized that after we watched it
Still a fun reaction. Alien is a must watch.
@@michaeldixon3440 we’re gonna watch it tho !
Damn. Now you know the cat survives Alien.
ahahahahahah
Aliens is one of the Top 3 sequels of all time. Its also the best sci-fi film ive ever seen. But you need to see the amazing film, Alien before Aliens.
Terminator 2 and Empire Strikes Back are the only other 2 with this in the top 3 sequels
Really does make a lot more sense if you watch the first part, first. Answers an awful lot of questions!
Yeah so Bishop hands the gun back when he crawls through the pipe work because he basically isn’t allowed to use it. He’s a synth and is programmed to basically be incapable of knowingly harming human life, presumably it extends to other sentient life as well.
That's a great scene to me, a lot of people miss the meaning of the scene and pass it over on bad edits.
Video calls existed in 1980. The technology took up an entire room and cost 250k. It developed into much smaller units later in the 1980's but was still very expensive.
At the beginning, during Ripley’s hearing, she says “ we set down there on company orders to get this thing. Which destroyed my crew and your expensive ship.“
You asked “what destroyed her crew?”
Not to be mean, but you guys saw in the first one the Alien/Xenomorph killed them all. That was a weird question. The entire movie was about it hunting the whole crew one by one. You guys did see the first one, right? Lol
One of the best sci fi/ horror movies ever made.
it looks real cus it is real - ur not looking at CGI its all real shit - real practical effects / models ect
Seen this in the theater when I was a teen, have never seen the first and life has went on just fine. I agree, the 80's movies just have more weight to them, and stand the test of time.
It also amazes me how what they envisioned back then has come to fruition today.
And now you can watch Alien and it'll be brand new to you, and great
36:50, yeah, 'Queenie' just saw Ripley and Newt escape in the elevator; when the other door opened, she smiled and tilted her head--she understood how the darned thing worked.
Hmm... you watched the sequel first. Odd. Kinda spoils some plot points in Alien, which will answer many of the questions you had here for Aliens.
EVERYONE hates Burke. everyone! apparently, Paul Reiser (the actor that played him) took his mom to the premiere - she cheered when the alien got him! Ripley is the original movie hero, we need more characters like Ripley!
I don´t. His actions make sense in a universe like that in his position. It´s cold, yes, but... make sense.
I saw this in 86 at the cinema when I was 16 damn I'm old. The one thing that annoys me to this day is that Ripley never took any spare magazines for the Pulse rifle when she went to rescue Newt.
Awesome movie, but since you are bringing up 'things that bug me', I have one. If Ripley had left the Mom alone in her lair, she and Newt would have had a less stressful trip ending, and the Mom and all her offspring would still be dead.
On the other hand, it was super satisfying to watch...
Oooh that's what we always discussed between out friends
@@pssthpokshe literally tried to set a facehugger on them. they had no choice, it was self defence.
@pssthpok Ripley hated the Aliens because of her experience of losing friends in the first one and causing her trauma. She then, really hated the Aliens because they killed over 200 hundred human colonists on LV 426.
This movie would have made a lo5 more sense had you watched the first movie, Alien, first.
What I love about this is that I also saw this movie before I saw Alien. Was really fun seeing other people put things together the same way I did.
We just watched the first one and it didn’t affect anything
Research people research. It's disappointing when that happens
You saw the first Alien, face masks do not protect you from facehuggers-The one that got on Kane smashed right through his space helmet.
There is a book that explains Rippley's lost 57 years. Fun fact - They used some of the music from the Star Trek Wraith of Khan film. Weaver should have got an Oscar for her performance in this.
That’s crazy !
Should have watched Alien first
we didn’t realize until after, we will watch that one though 👍🏼
They didn't even watch the special edition 🙄
@@miller-joeland that makes it worse
Cameron made many fantastic movies.
Fun fact: Almost all of his movies begin with the letter "A" or "T".
Ha! T and A. And I'm glad not the only person to bring attention to that fact.
Hmmm: terminator; aliens; abyss, terminator2; true lies; titanic; avatar I and 2...I'll be darned!
this movie came out when I was born I'm 37 I still love it from beginning to end it's so amazing
It was amazing!!
You guys didnt watch Alien before this, shit its a sequel movie lol. Terrifying.
One of the best sequels
You guys decided to watch this before the first one....goddamn that sucks
yah video calling was a thing back then , here's a little bit of history lesson Videophones were the earliest form of videotelephony, dating back to initial tests in 1927 by AT&T. During the late 1930s, the post offices of several European governments established public videophone services for person-to-person communications using dual cable circuit telephone transmission technology.. so yeah it was a thing already.. just not through smart phones
Dang. People are roasting you guys 😂 It’s fine. You’re fine. Everything is fine ❤
Those long guns are called smart guns. They track and target for you, all you have to do is pull the trigger.
Lol dont know why people are losing their minds just because you didn't watch the first movie. So what?? You guys enjoyed this one and gave a great reaction, that's all that matters. People get their panties in a bunch over the smallest things on the net so dont take that to heart. With that being said, this was one of my favorite movies as a child of the 80's (born in 77 lol. This, The Terminator and Blade Runner are the GOATS of sci Fi). There were so many great movies from the 70s, 80s and 90s that still hold up till this day. Cant wait until you see "Alien"! In the meantime check out these other classics:
-Robocop
-Conan the Barbarian
-Total Recall
-Return of the living dead
-Poltergeist
-Demons
-The running man
-Blade Runner
-Predator
New sub, thank you for the great reaction! (Oh, and don't watch the 3rd alien movie, its trash.)
Thank so much !!
Okay fun facts time...Actor James Remar was originally cast to be Hicks, but he had a drug problem and was fired and Michael Biehn was brought him to play Hicks. The British crew hated James Cameron and they were about to all quit because they didn't think Cameron knew what he was doing.Actress Jeanette Goldstein(Vasquez) is Jewish and has freckles and had to have heavy make up to cover them. The actors were trained by the SAS.
Also, when Goldstein went for her audition she thought the movie was going to be about migrant workers... hence Hudson's joke about "illegal aliens".
@terencemcquillan5750 Yep,and the Aliens DVD commentary with her,Paxton and Biehn is funny.Now...Goldstein,Paxton and Biehn did other films together over the years after Aliens.
I think the trips into Deep Space take a very long time, notwithstanding the advanced spacecraft moving at higher speeds-So the hypersleep is to save energy and to prevent the crew and passengers from aging too much amidst the long voyage.
Jenette Goldstein(Vasquez) is also in "Terminator 2" and "Near Dark."
She had a bit part in Titanic also. Another Cameron film.
It's actually really cool you guys didn't see ALIEN first. It gives a different perspective.
I don’t mind it because we can still enjoy the story of the first one
Yep good reaction . Sigourney Weaver got an oscar nomination for her portrayal of Ellen Ripley. ALIEN is the first movie that sets this one up. Watch it! You'll love it.
Thanks !! And we will!!
What is amazing, is what they pulled off with what they had in 1986. And the movie is still excellent in 2024. That is amazing.
I always wondered why they used old computers. Not very powerful. But, if you think of it, those computers in the movie would be workstations only made for one purpose. Thus, although it looks simple the interface, it makes sense for what it is supposed to do. In turn... even with our new tech... it still remains viable for the situation.
They had to sleep on the way to and back from LV-426 because it is 11months away from earth.
Oooo dang that’s a long time !
@@MOONPOPPERSAccording to expanded universe material, LV-426 is only about 51 days away (ships got faster in the 55+ year time skip between Alien and Aliens, but a side-effect of Human FTL systems is that subjective time is faster. A trip that takes 2 months for outside observers might last 2 YEARS for the crew... hence hypersleep.
Did you guys see Alien ?
Obviously not. That makes no sense.
Not yet
Masterpiece ever. The best sequel ever. Great
Such a good film!
You needn't to watch the first Allen before you watch this one. You would have understood this one better.
Wait til ya get to ALIEN³ 1992 it’s a shock for fans how dark it gets and the fate that Ripley must confront.
Great reaction! You caught my attention in the very beginning when you realize practical effects are superior to CGI. I'm glad you understand that and appreciate that because I thought the same thing over the last few decades. when you see movies like Star wars The original from 1977 and you see the very beginning where The Star destroyer spaceship hovering your over your head , it looks incredible when they use models and the details of the ship. All these movies today over the last 10 to 20 years look fake....they look like video games and give me a headache because they use explosions to try to make up for the bad plot and bad effects. I don't mind CGI if it's used sparingly and only when it's necessary but most movies don't look as real as really good quality movies from the 1970s '80s and even '90s with Terminator 2.
Thanks ! Well nowadays studio they rush everything and cgi is way faster than using practical in a film. All they are worried about is making money and pumping out so much shit. Look at marvel for example. They took their time in the beginning. And now they are pumping out so much stuff and the animator can’t keep up
@@MOONPOPPERS 💯
Sigourney Weaver um marco na história de Hollywood...... maravilhosa....nos 4 aliens
You should watch the special edition - 17 minutes more, and answers at least some of your questions.
Lt Gorman was picked because of his inexperience. Burke wanted to bring a live specimen. I feel bad for the Leiutenant, everybody blames him but he was setup to fail.
That make sense
That is a good take on Gorman's character.
What is the name of the track at the beginning of the video?
ITS CALLED RETURN TO THE FUTURE I GOT IT ON EPIDEMICSOUND!
@@MOONPOPPERS thanks
You didn't watch Alien first? How do you not know to watch Alien first?
We messed up
Aliens is my favorite sci-fi movie of all-time. It was easy to clock y'all hadn't seen the original. lol. I am pretty sure as a kid, I saw this one first as well, so it's all good. I will say though...check out Alien, then watch the extended cut of Aliens, which just rounds out the story of Aliens even more.
We totally didn’t know about the 79 version lol but we will check it out!!
3:47. Wait wait wait!! Just hold it...... Let me get this straight......YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE FIRST ONE YET????!!! WTF. On principle alone, I refuse to continue watching this video. 😖
You guys watched the sequel before the first movie??? No wonder you were so confused.
Amazing, isn't it? Now stop there, no need to watch the rest of the Alien series, Ripley's saga stops here.
Agreed. But they should at least see the first one.
This and Terminator 2 are the best action movies you'll ever see. Give T2 a watch if you haven't yet
yes, please watch T2. *but watch The Terminator first!*
Ok we will check it out !!!
There were a lot of great 80's action movies.
Yeah, Aliens was tops with me as well. But closely followed by T2, and the likes of T1, Die Hard, Predator, and others.
I will say A2 and T2 were probably the best sequels ever made.
I immediately subscribed when you said you prefer the practical effects over cgi. Me too, it just looks more realistic. I guess by now you know you should have watched Alien first then Aliens. But it was still entertaining to you, that’s awesome. Now for a dose of Arnold, check out the first two Terminators then Predator.
Welcome! And yes I know we messed up but we still going to watch the first one and enjoy and ok we will add them to the watch list!
You should have watched the first one
dit you not seen alien? this is the second one in the alien set?
I call this Ripley gets a husband and child while fighting aliens movie. :)
😂
You didn't see Alien 1979 first?
6:48 the editing process is supposed to cut those jokes out. 🤨🙂
Nope !
Yes, people in the past didn’t talk like four year olds with a limited vocabulary and stilted fried vocal patterns.
Movies back in the day where intellectuals Marvel was the death 💀 of cinema art 🖼️ sadly
@@adriel88_ Marvel, DC, and rom coms-The death of actual comedy.
Bush is good
0:44 Because the aliens are naked.
Ihr müsst erst den 1 Teil sehen
why the are you watching this before ALIEN? did you not look up the movies? that's a big thumbs down from me 👎👎👎.
Guys can you react to tv shows we would love that
What shows do you recommend?
@@MOONPOPPERS the last of us great show
😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Watch Alien (1979) first.
we will be watching soon!
You didn't watch "Alien" first???
Nope
Yeah, you should have watched "Alien" first. You have no context.
Didn’t ruin the movie still enjoyed it
What is wrong with people in the comments? Ripping on people who did not watch it in order? Grow up.
I loved that you did not watch the first one. It now shows how much gaps the first one filled. It is also a unique review.
Thanks for this and I will give you a thumbs up and follow just because other people did not learn manners. Inexcusable.
Thank you ❤️
Shameful reaction channel that can't even watch movies in order!!
OMG you 2 are the First Reaction makers who watch the SEQUEL BEFORE THE ORIGINAL!!! I'll stop here otherwise I'll say some nasty things. DISLIKE
You didnt watch Alien first. Pass
People can say anything they want about Gorman, but he died a marine doing his duty. He didn’t have to go back for Vasquez. 🫡

Unique reaction if people eho didn't watch the first one 😅
Ooops 😅
