  • This video discusses a number of different foam insert topics. Rebound inside the tire from too much foam stuffed inside of it which cause the tire to crown, trimming outers narrower, the practice of running a rubber tire with a smaller bead size on a larger rim, and more, by Crawler Innovations.

Thanks for the education! I'm kinda new to 1/10 scale, so it is much appreciated.

Thank you for the kind words, I cannot say that enough to all the kind comments. This world can be extremely tough at times and an individual too hard on oneself. I've shied away from creating these videos, but with continual phone calls and emails regarding similar questions, changes needed to be made. Thank you for the encouragement!

Dubble Bubble chewing gum tub from Sam's Club for the win! The original glass diffuser broke when the lamp had tipped over, not a problem. Thank you for the kind words.

Great video. So do you just literally stretch the tire onto a bigger wheel? I ask because I saw one video where I guy cut the tire first.

I know a lot of people like stretching tires but I just don't like the way it looks 😂. The 1.55 tires stretched onto a 1.9 beadlocks looks ok in some variants but the 1.9 stretched on to 2.2s look comical to me. I guess I'm just old school 😂

I don't see the benefit of putting 1.9's on 2.2's. It seems ridicules.

I've done it on proline tires that don't like to fit 1.9 rims

If you prefer a scale model look, instead of an all out performance aspect, there is no right or wrong here, it's personal preference. I lean towards function over form, so once I experienced the benefits of stretched tires on the rocks, I accepted the look. It is what it is.

Great example, Proline has that terrible tire bead design that comes to an angle and the beads never want to stay seated regardless of bead lock brand. I don't often use Proline tires for the reason, but when I do, CA glue on the bead lock FTW, or stretching the tire to a larger rim. Thank you for your comment.@@theoalbert897

So all this rides on non vented tires. Copy.

WRONG. Tires must be vented for air to pass through the tire carcass. No air movement = no tire conformity.
