YES! I'm so glad you tried it at 12 volts. It's too shrill at 9 volts. 12v lowers the harshness. I almost didn't like the pedal at first but its because I was running it at 9v.
A good portion of the feedback about sweeps for example has been heard previously and updated. I am sending Dome one of the current revisions so he can compare.
In an era where versatility is more important than basic desires, this pedal is a ripper. Dig the one I have. Shea does solid work.

Don't you always run it 12v?
I think V1 is 12V only, V2 (which I have) can run at 9, 12 and 18V
Sounded good at modest settings, just hard to beat a very good sounding original HM2 for chainsaw.
To me BOSS is better.
