- 1980 suzuki transformed into a hardtail bobber. No front brake, shortened rear fender, spring seat and primed black wheels, tins, and bars. Another bike built out of the straight pipe productions shop!

whats the name of the song not the band i now that already.thanks.superb bike build
This build has iinspired me to chop my GS450L, I am currently welding solid struts in. Half way there. I watch this video daily, thankyou for the upload and great ideas.
Great video! Very inspiring. I just picked up a 1981 GS550 E that I'm gonna turn into a hardtail bobber. But I'm keeping my front brake! Again, great video!
I've got a 550L and I'm thinking of choppin it to look like this. That's a badass pattern on the tank.
Very good your bike, the change was extreme. I love it.
That's just bad ass man. Very nice job!!
I am the owner of this bike now 👍🏻 runs great
nice job man! bad ass bike.
Like how you kept the old tank
nice bike
Nice build..
Good idea, thanks for the quick reply!
Song name?
Looking good.
very sick. I love it
Nice I have a 82 GS850L suzuki and want mine to look something like that
Got a 1984 gs1000e. But damned laws in Germany. I can't ride such a great chopper here.
well done
Freakin awesome Bro.
Good job! looks great. (pfft.. who needs brakes..)
No front brake?
Seriously!?
Wow - that's, erm, brave.
Take off the most effective brake and leave the least.
Not on my bike... but then, this isn't my bike and "each to their own"
Aside from that, nice looking ride. I like the striping on the tank, classy.
very nice
I'm currently doing the same thing on a gs1100, just curious if you could tell me what jets you had to run in the carbs to get it to run right?
Looks good, but I would have kept the front brakes,it will be hard to stop without them.
nice i have a 89 honda cb 750 but i want to make something like that
i'm building my gs1000 similar to this one but i cant figure out how you did your kickstand any advice
@RastaMastaKonTiki I just pulled the headlight off the Windjammer fairing that was on the bike when I got it.
@ruuke74 The bike was dropped using an 8x8 wood block placed underneath the original exhaust frame brackets. The bike was built off the ride height sitting on the block. (see vid). Changing the rear tire is as normal, just have to lift the bike high enough off the ground to get the wheel out from underneath.
@calibayne Riding with only a rear brake is as normal. Just have to pay greater attention to surroundings as your stopping power is greatly reduced.
@yumberri Enlever - Bounce
Did you have to re jet the carbs?
Propper! Great Job! Very Inspiring...So what is the name of the song? That so Hits Home! I could make it My anthem... Thanx for sharing the vid.. Good riding To You
Nice work on the bike. Doing something similar on an 82 650 I just bought< quick question if you dont mind; why did you weld in a plate in front of the battery? Does it serve as a gusset? thanks
1:47 that thing looks mean as fuck
You mind me asking what kind of headlight that is?
cool build! why no front brake tho? that's a ton of motor w/o running a front brake.
did you extend the rear end of the frame?
AWESOME
What size is youre rear tire?
no front brake!??
what is this song. Its great Help Please
Not my style. I like gs stock, beautiful straight out the factory. But nice build, and more important sounds like a good runner. Rock on brutha
Looks great ! Is it fast?
i like your build. what was the wall thickness on the tube you added on the back of the bike and what is the name of the band play the song in the video ?
This might 11 years late but I'd imagine the sections that are removed you can use some calipers to figure that out. Lol. I. Doing the same to my bike. I have same exact bike
I'm also pretty tall and I plan picking up a GS550 soon for a great price and building it myself. I have 2 questions. Am I too tall for a bobber? And how much did the build cost you to do not counting how much you bought the bike for? I'm really considering building a 550 cuz I found such a great deal and this is the look I'm aiming for just I wanna blast the tank n fenders n let it rust and I want diff handle bars. Great bike tho man I love it!
FKING BAD ASS!!!! hows the ride?
is there no rear suspension on the bike? i dont know a damn thing about bobbers
That song..... :(
How tall are u? I'm thinking bout building a Suzuki around that year, but I think i would look dumb riding it. I'm 6'4 lol
i swear this is on cragslist titled rat bobber suzuki am i right?
i thought the gs1000 had the star wheels. thoes look like the gs600 wheels.
this windshild from the original Bike was ugly as fuck! very nice bobber dude!
Also to all the guys asking advice. Look around google. But more Importantly, do it yourself. Thats what real choppers are all about. Not that wcc shit. A friend of mine has a 52 panhead harley with 110 hp and it not a long ass stretched out bike but its a chopper, hence the name, psrts are "chopped off" get to wrenchin boys and girls.
Damn, thats a nice bobber. In it´s original, that bike is one ugly thing. Nice job!!
if you are tall just make the bike longer.. :) i think you wont look "dumb" if the bike is longer
fast bike plus no front brake = not so smart
Bitchen! (Dude has a Bar and a fridge in his garage) I'd never get anything done
I have never understood fascination with bobbers..they are not good looking bikes IMHO.. Sure they are fun to ride though.
matter of personal taste really. I much prefer the simplicity of a bobber or cafe racer then a chromed out chopper or bagger.
71donkrider it's a fad. I like the gs factory look myself.
i have a 77 gs750 im going to be turning into a bobber. in lowering where you sit makes the bike easier to handle because you are in line with the mass rather than on top of it. i had a stock 81 cb650 and a bobber cb650 the bobber felt lighter and easier to move than the stock cb650.
none. its a hardtail
