- This is a 2001 honda rebel cmx 250 I picked up a while back. Didn't have anything on video so I just put together a simple slideshow of some of the pictures I had. Hope you enjoy. I know its not the best video or music. Thanks
Tail End Customs

I think this might be one of the greatest youtube videos ive ever seen
A great build at any rate. This is how a "Rebel" should have come from the factory. Congrats!
You've done the impossible! A rebel that's actually badass!
"You'll never see another one like it"... makes me want to build one exactly like it lol.
XneverstopfightingX by all means go for it
Sweet bobber! Started my two-wheel addiction back in the '80s with a Rebel. Kudos brother!
Good looking Rebel. I've never been a fan of chrome powder coat. But as shown here it makes a great base for candy colors. I use silver metallic powder under the translucent colors. Gives a little more "action" under the candy color. Check out "dormant" colors if you want to try something new. The "Dormant Granny Smith Apple Green" is a dead ringer for kawasaki metallic green. Good looking ride .. keep it up!!
i think my favourite part is the way you turned it into a hard tail without modifying the frame, it's a cute solution
nice job! makes me rethink the tank on my XV250. i just dropped mine with 10inch struts, and haven't cut the fender down, but it gave it a nice flow with the stock seat once i shaved it down. definitely gives me some ideas for once winter hits.
You've done a great job. I always like seeing the smaller cc bikes customized. The wife has a 250 Virago that I've been dying to tear into. If I did though, she would tear into me:)
awesome video, sick music. About to buy my first bike this Saturday Honda rebel 250 good shit man.
s c thanks man. Congrats. Have some fun
i admire your dedication to finishing the project. shes a beauty :)
amazing... did you adjust anything on the frame? i want to adjust my tank so it is above my tree not under it... did change the backbone of the bike at all???
ACID KING!!!!! i like your choice of music! thats also a mean looking bike! Im looking for a cmx250 as my first bobber bike. should be fun
Awsome !!! And The song !! Hell Yeah ! Acid King
only Honda that i have ever thought was nice... sick bike
@TailEndCustoms no prob, i had a black '04 rebel and your making me really sad i sold it..i always wondered what it'd sound like with some shorty pipes on it and i love how you did yours
I like what you did. The only thing that I would've done differently is weld the frame together for the hardtail. Nice job. It looks like a lot of fun to ride.
Absolutely brilliant! Love the color and the tunes.
very cool, looks almost like a chopped sportster but without the drawback of being a harley :P
I'm a professional video producer for 25 years now, and there's no substitute for simplicity in a production--'less is more'. Nice choice of music and the slides were great. Great job on the bike as well. Just one critical complaint about the video, if I may be so bold... IT WAS TOO SHORT! You left me hungry for more oh-- I think that's a GOOD thing. Sorry, MY bad---- :))
Damn I love it when hard work pays off. Great bike.
That is a beautiful bike, I'm hoping to have my own real soon and hopefully it looks that good!
The bike's bad ass. Plus you get points for the Acid King! Great job!
Did you chop up the frame at all or just install the bars to make it a hard tail?
man that's one killer scoot.
@Dudeman9339
A bobber is a motorcycle that usually has had the front fender removed, the rear fender "bobbed" or made smaller and all superfluous items removed to make it lighter.
@SovereignFreeman actually think hte musician was " acid king". but FWIW. loved hte work on the bike. even tho hondas arent me, if i had to pick one this would be it. a definite thumbs up ( on the video , and the bike)
Lovely animal! Respect to those, appreciating modesty in engines.
that is absolutely beautiful my friend.
A true bobber. Beautiful attention to detail. I like to buy those old klaxxon horns made in france on early bugs. They make a great tuneable pitch and you can run two of them and wake the dead from their cell phones! Tee hee hee
Did you customize the gas tank or did just Harley sportster tank would do
Sounds a bit like Electric Wizard.
Nice build.
@spacesaver100
Thanks. Yes I've seen back street choppers mag. Cool stuff.
love this!!!!!i have a 250 night hawk thinkn about doing this for sure
What is that exhaust system you have on there? Is that just the manifold or are there actual mufflers on it?
Great job. I want to modify my rebel too. I have two question: 1- which rear fender did you use? (I thing it belongs to another motorcycle, you modified it) 2- did you modify the chassis for installing the gas tank?
best honda rebel ever
Hey man how did you strip the rims I know you cant just scuff and paint chrome but im not sure how I am goin to strip my rims to paint them
that flows so perfectly!!
Wow, that thing was beat to crap when you got it. Looks great now!
great customization ! I was just wondering how much did you spend and how long did it take to build it ?
EXCELLENT WORK!!
Beautiful bike from Spain , which is the cylindrical tank in front of the battery?
Great Bike, I have a pic of this bike on my wallpaper for my computer, Looks great!!
You cut the exhaust right? Does it over heat???
@Lakerjay1984
Thanks. The rear fender is from a kikker hardknock bobber. The tires were stock as far as I know. They were in good shape so I didnt change them. Dont remember the brand.
hee those are the same strips i've got on my gs1000.
great looking bike man,nice job.
That's a sick bike, man! I'm a crotch rocket guy, and even I like it. Well done!
What fender for the back,also no chopping of the frame? Stock frame?
Very very nice....I am fixin to get a rebel....good ideas
Omg thats sick! Thinking of taking this on myself...but this would be my first one not all that great at fabrication but i get get around and have access to welders and that stuff would it be manageable for a first timer?
Can you please list the parts you bought/used to transform your rebel? Im interested in doing the same thing, please list the type of gas tank also, its rad
@ibiteharddd
No adjusting to the frame. We modified the gas tank to fit the rebel backbone. We did nothing to the frame. Thanks
was it hard mounting the tank? and was it difficult doing he rear fender?
Mounting the tank was not hard but remaking the tunnel and bottom to fit was. It's a sporty peanut tank with full custom bottom to fit. Fender was easy as I just fabbed a bracket to mount.
@SovereignFreeman no worries. its all good. good music, pics of a good bike. the only thing better is riding Eh?
Im planning on bobbing my rebel 125 soon and I was just guna do a quick job but you have inspired me to be a bit more pro about it and do more respraying than I was planning on. awesome vid man and I seriously dig the music! who is it? they sound loads like a local band to me called 'Pilgrim Fathers' just went to see them last night :-P
Very nice, well done.
best looking rebel I've seen yet.. good stuff. got a list of the modifications?
what do your recommend for the rear fender and for the tank... working on my cmx
Did you powder coat or paint?
@tylerpmac
Just made some struts to replace the shocks. Doubled up on some flat stock from home depot. No welding but some grinding and drilling. Pretty easy.
@mranlontao
That is a harley sportster tank. Had to reweld the bottom to fit the backbone.
how much money do you invert in your honda rebel to make it a bobber ?
oh ok where did you get the clip ons?
I'm the 100,000th viewer. You're welcome.
I have always liked custom bikes and leaned toward the chopper style till now. I don't own a bike at this time, unless you count a cheap Chinese scooter I got to save on gas (AKA that piece of sh-- in my garage), but I'm thinking when i do get a real bike I've got to make it a bobber.
I gotta know what kind of fender is on the back
where did you ge the fender
btw nice bike !!
what kind of tank did you have on there?
tight work man
Nice bike, bro.
Cool music, cool bobber Bro.
who is the band?
The music wasn't so bad, the end result is VERY cool, and you did it with your own three hands. I love doing all my own stuff; makes the end product very individual. Well done bud!! :-} BTW, have you ever checked out Back Street Choppers? Great mag for the do-it-yourself rider.
Cheers!!
I recently bought the same fender for my rebel 250 but i am having trouble mounting it. what did you do to mount yours?
Sorry it's been years. I believe I just made a bracket that bolts to the fender and bolts to the cross bar I used to mount the seat springs.
What fender did you buy? I like the look of it.
is that a 2.5 lowbro frisco tank?
sleeck bike great job where did you get the spring seat??
What's the diameter for the clip on handle bars?
Sharp Brother. Where did u get the clamp on Cafe Bars????
Ebay
Tail End Customs u must of got the last pair then !!!
Nah just type in clip on bars with your fork size mm. I don't remember what size those forks were.
how much would something like this cost
hey what kind of head light did u use
Cut stock bottom out and replaced with custom tunnel to fit the squared frame
I don't fucking care what all the other comments are... I really like this video and all that you make this poor rebel get through.....good job.. 'll do the same to my rebel in november... I'll put the video of the carnage here in december...
@TailEndCustoms what kind of head lights did u used
How many inches was is lowered?
@galangMIA
Sup man. They are clip ons I got from ebay. Yes peanut sportster had to reweld the tunnel to fit. Thanks
Acid King rocks. Kind of like Vanillage Fudge meets Aerosmith.
Acid king rocks!
what kind of tank is that?
love this bike man!
Do you remember what tank and rear fender you used?
Jose Estrada tank was a sportster peanut tank with modified tunnel. Fender was from a kikker hardknock bobber.
Dope! By luck I have a peanut tank at home hahaha. My friend bought it at a rally but goofy didn’t even have a bike :D. I’ll check the fender out!! Thanks man appreciate it
Jose Estrada no problem.
How much and where? That's badass!
how did you do the tank
👍
sweet bike
Did you have to chop the frame and re wield??
Swisher Sweet no I just made hardstruts to replace the shocks
thanks man, sweet bike!
Swisher Sweet thanks 👍🏼
