It's not what the killer says, that's what their lawyers initiate in order to get a lighter sentence for their clients. The accused is not a killer until proven guilty by the prosecution, and the defence attorney of the accused may not believe in their innocence either. However, it is precisely their professional job scope to help them in order for there to be fair trials held in court.

My family was poor back then and I often being left alone at home while my parents worked. It's common in Asia countries for children to be independent, especially the poors where we can't afford nannies or daycares like those in the west. The man that her mom trusted broke her trust, RAPED and murdered her daughter. Imagine there are people so ignorant that they are blaming the mother for "negligence".
Exactly. Sure she could have done something different but she was never at fault for all of this. She is no perfect mother but she was doing the best she can given the circumstances
Mother is irresponsible...she introduced her colleague to her child and he knew the mom and daughter's whereabouts...you cant trust a man with a like girl..
A kid can be kidnapped even though the parent is next to her. But her mom left her alone to another country. Not just going to work somewhere in the city. I personally think it's way too far, no matter how independent the child is. She's still a kid that need parents protection. Not blaming the mom, but I still think she takes part in this too. And going back and forth to China and having Huang Na to study in singapore surely cost a lot (if u r talking about the economic state).
My family was poor aswell. We couldn't afford babysitters or nannies too. You know what my father did? He either brought me to work with him or send me to my grandmother's home. Or, in this case, their relatives is in China, the mom can send her daughter to woman friend's house. never with a man. NEVER.

That's not how hanging works. I believe Singapore uses the standard drop method, which means the defendant is dropped from a considerable height, which would break his neck upon impact. Death should be near-instant.

It gave me the chills right at the beginning because my birthday is on October 14th. My family and I were having such a great time while this whole thing was happening.
This is why, dont entrust your child to anybody even though you know the person very well. Never ever.. I have 2 girls and a boy. I have been harassed when I was little by someone my family trust, someone they know very well.
Why would any mom leave her 8 year old daughter alone by herself when she goes away ABROAD? She could have made some arrangements for her daughter to be under a proper guardian. Such a tragedy that could have been avoided.
This is a lesson for all the mothers, DON'T trust strangers with your child even if you are living in a crime free country. There are kidnappers, pedophiles and sex traffickers looking to take young girls and boys. Please, never leave your child alone.

Lesson to be learnt here is never ever trust anyone be it stranger or relative or neighbour with your kids. Especially daughters. Criminal minded will go to any extent to gain your sympathy and trust to accomplish their devil's play.
How have I never heard of this? My mom is Singaporean and I have family there and travel there every couple of years. Couldn’t go this year due to covid. May she Rest In Peace ❤️
I was born in 2004 in SG too.....I was really shocked when I first heard about this news about 2 years back. I seriously don't understand why you would wanna do such a cruel thing to a child....May she rest in peace
Simple 1. Her mother is the single parent and the only working adult in the family. 2. Huang Na is a very independent child who can take care of herself 3. To them Singapore seems like a very safe country and they think this kind of stuff will never happen, which sadly wasn't true in very extreme rare case like this. But generally speaking most of the time Singapore is very safe.
As a mother, how the fuck do you leave your 8 year old daughter in a different country alone? I don’t care if it was only a few days. I can’t even fathom being that irresponsible and negligent. She made it possible for her daughter to be murdered. What a disgrace.
Ugh no matter how independent you think a kid is, never ever leave them alone. They are kids, they are still vulnerable, they need an adult, they need their family to protect them. Kids are still kids, no matter how the tables are turned. I hope her soul rest in peace.
You have to understand this, Asians in general want to ensure their kids get the best education so they can get the best jobs possible. Singapore provides top notch schooling and isnt very far.
@@lesterramos6468 it would be much better if she left her daughter in a boarding school because you have someone to look after her child 24 hours. But this mother left the little girl abroad and expected her to live alone at 8 years old??????? That was insane
@@lesterramos6468 Nonsense. Singapore education system is crap. I am a product of it! I have difficulties competing with Westerners, who have better communication and self-promotion skills!
My thing is why would you leave your daughter with a man? a single man at that. why would you leave your 8 year child alone somewhere else. People are in this fantasy world where they think everything is unicorn and rainbow and no bad happen. I am sorry that this happen to her and I hope people would stop living in Disney land and realize that this world is for the wicked, but one good thing is that this little girl made it back home
I can't say anything about the law in other countries, but in Singapore, the law is firm. Once a person commits a case of murder and finally gets caught, our Singapore laws don't even hesitate in implementing the death penalty against that person. It is our impartiality and decisiveness that won the respect of other countries.
I hate it when a killer tells his/her lawyer that he/she is mentally illness after committed crime. its even worst that one committed a crime then self proclaim got possessed by evil spirit.

I believe Singapore uses the standard drop method, which means the defendant is dropped from a considerable height, which would break his neck upon impact.

So her mom left her alone when she went to visit the other child? At 8 years of age?
That girl loved to stay alone as independent.. and go out alone to school with frnds... Foreign child u know

Her mother is very irresponsible to leave such a young child and trusted a guy just because of his kindness and that is totally stupid.
Even my parents wouldn't even want me to stay home alone and that know that leaving their child alone with a stranger would be very stupid but still I feel very sorry about Huang Na death.
This should served as a lesson to all mothers or parents never leave your children to someone you really don't know especially if it's a girl.
It gave me the chills right at the beginning because my birthday is on October 14th. My family and I were having such a great time while this whole thing was happening.

I feel horrible cause her mom believed that that guy was innocent at first....RIP Huang Na...justice has been served 🙁

How have I never heard of this? My mom is Singaporean and I have family there and travel there every couple of years. Couldn’t go this year due to covid.
May she Rest In Peace ❤️
I remembered my chinese teacher talking about this case
watching this now 2020, after watching Nayoung case.
And she can really rest in peace when justice is served... The earth is not a place for monsters...
Well u would be shocked to hear the earth have more than 100 millions cold-hearted monster out of the 7 billions+
I was born in 2004 in SG too.....I was really shocked when I first heard about this news about 2 years back. I seriously don't understand why you would wanna do such a cruel thing to a child....May she rest in peace
You never know that even the friendliest and familiar face , whether it's from a friend or a family member , it can hide a murderous monster.
This is why I trust no one except my mom. Even if it's a relative, I won't trust them easily. Smh
Why mom left her alone she just 8years 😢
Simple
1. Her mother is the single parent and the only working adult in the family.
2. Huang Na is a very independent child who can take care of herself

Poor little girl , she die when she’s very young
Why would you leave your daughter with the stranger Its all her mom’s fault
They don’t play around with the death penalty in Singapore. Decided & carried out quickly...
I can't say anything about the law in other countries, but in Singapore, the law is firm. Once a person commits a case of murder and finally gets caught, our Singapore laws don't even hesitate in implementing the death penalty against that person. It is our impartiality and decisiveness that won the respect of other countries.
