Would just like to point out that some of these paints are cadmium shades, meaning cadmium is in the paint and as a result BE CAREFUL if you decide to use them - cadmium is found in a lot of oil paint too, and some golden acrylic paint. It’s harmful if ingested or inhaled too much so just do your research first if you don’t know much about it. I realized I should probably just include a warning in case you weren’t aware of the dangers of cadmium. Thank you for watching!

I think I'll have to agree. As much as I like my Winsor and Newton Galeria acrylics, I find painting with them difficult because of the glare I get from the light reflecting off it.. I'll have to give these a try if I can get a hold of them here

Buy a "moving blanket" from your nearest u-haul or similar and hang it on the wall that you are facing to fix your echo cheaply and easily. It's what a lot of home music producers do for recording.
The painting turned out great, and the matte colours fit the style - and I can imagine a matte painting is easier to photograph than a shiny one. I've never had specifically matte acrylics, but I think I had a matte medium at one point.
When I started making videos it was the single most awkward thing I've ever experienced. And it's not like I don't talk to myself out loud in normal everyday life. I do it all the time. Thinking out loud helps you remember stuff better. But doing intros and outros and all that TH-camry stuff never gets less awkward.

So I know this is an art channel. I also know you have tons of followers. I just wanted to give you a tip on non-art things. Echoing: hang sheets, blankets, quilts, lengths of fabric, etc on the walls of you want to stop the echoing while you wait eons for the furniture. For you doggo: it’s oddly easier to teach replacement actions than teaching a dog to stop doing something. So if you want no growling at the window (not something I would do, but in the city it seems fairly ordinary), then teach your baby to do something different when he (he? She?) sees a person at the window. For example, so people have pillows that are specifically for their dogs to pick up when they know someone is at the door. So they pick up pillows, go to the door, then they can’t bark bc pillows are in their mouths. Do whatever you’d like, just thought some input could help. Love your channel so much btw!

Yes! When she paints the yellow bird it has to have a lemon 🍋 shaped head. Green could be a watermelon 🍉 because that would be such a pretty color scheme.
Just in case you continue to have sound problems, you can temporarily hang blankets on the walls to reduce echoes and bouncing sound during your recording sessions, not the best background for videos but much better sound for your videos.
He's cute! Keep gesso on hand so you can cover things you don't like and start over! I have a giant jug I bought from Michaels and I just refill a couple smaller containers to use, depending on what I need them for.

There is the orange bird holding a dole whip mural on a blue background in Magic Kingdom. Maybe you thought of that? Love these paints! May have to get some myself for custom toy painting.
One thing you might want to do while waiting for furniture to fill out your studio is get a bunch of carpet samples to just toss around the room, hang on some of the walls, it'll help reduce the echo. The paints are GORGEOUS colors but I'm totally in the minority here and am not a fan of matte paints. I have a hard time getting any sort of depth out of them.

It's okay if you don't have yellow! You can mix the cadmium orange with the phthalo green bs, or the cobalt teal. They yellow that comes out will be much closer to a yellow ochre or raw sienna with a little hint of gray underneath (because of the blue in the phthalo green bs or the cobalt teal and the orange of the cadmium orange cancelling each other out, and the red in the cadmium orange and the yellow in the phthalo green bs or the cobalt teal cancelling each other out), but it certainly works in a pinch, or if you are doing a limited color palette painting. Cesar Cordova here on TH-cam has some really cool videos on painting with only two colors (like phthalo green bs and dioxazine purple) plus white. My favorite video by him is one where he goes into detail about why color theory is kind of BS and what *actually* happens with colors when it comes to paint (which is different than how color works for light). It is called, "Why do GREEN and PURPLE make BLUE? Surely You Did Not Know This" and it is the single most important thing I have *ever* learned about color. He has a video where he paints Pikachu with just green and orange, which was fun. James Gurney also has a video or two of him doing this same thing with paint. He is a phenomenal painter if you haven't seen his videos yet. (Did you ever read Dinotopia as a kid? That's the guy who was the author AND artist for the books!)

I'm pretty sure matte acrylic and acrylic gouache are basically the same thing. It's just that a matte finish is typically associated with gouache, so you kind of get the vibe of what you're about to buy. Looking at what they're made of though, "matte acrylic" would really be more honest IMO :p

I know what a nightmare shopping online and in store was during the pandemic last summer. Our house caught on fire so we were forced to shop even though our plan was not to.
To make it echo less, you can always hang up some fabric (e.g. curtains) on the walls! It absorbs the sound surprisingly well! 😊 I noticed a lot of video conference rooms doing this when I was a cleaner 😁

You need a "circle ruler" as Moriah Elizabeth calls her circle stencil (okay I call mine that too)

One thing I don't like is the container. You just have to leave it open when using, or else make a mess pouring some out, etc?
Maybe try pillows or padded objects on the walls or just around the room, might help absorb the sound and the echo, idk

I know what a nightmare shopping online and in store was during the pandemic last summer. Our house caught on fire so we were forced to shop even though our plan was not to.
Whilst watching this video there was a lawnmower man outside my house as well 😂😂
When you are so paranoid that the quite music that played you had to pause the video to make sure someone doesn’t kill you
To make it echo less, you can always hang up some fabric (e.g. curtains) on the walls! It absorbs the sound surprisingly well! 😊
I noticed a lot of video conference rooms doing this when I was a cleaner 😁
