- Hey Guys! Today I’m going to be jumping on a recent trend (kind of, I’m a little late, but….better late than never?). You guys know how I’m obsessed with painting….basically anything. Well, the Hydro Flask re-usable water bottles have been super popular recently and I’ve seen so many people customizing them. I guess since they are pretty plain, they are just a perfect canvas for decorating and putting your own style on them. I put A LOT of time into 2 different hydro flask water bottles. I’ve noticed quite a few creators doing many of these in one video, but I decided to focus on just 2, and try to do a well-done, detailed design. I decided to paint one of them with acrylic paint and one of them with Posca Paint Pens, in 2 very different themes and styles. One is more “painterly” (we love that word LOL) and the other is a lot more bold and cartoony. I ended up loving how both of these came out, hopefully you guys like them too! Looking back on this. This was the first video I ever watched of Moriah and I remember watching on January 1st, 2020. Before COVID happened. And it was my best friend who showed it to me. Been watching ever since! Love you Moriah!

I got up out of bed and noticed that my hydro flask was looking kinda worn and ugly, and it needed something.
So I looked up this subject painting a hydro flask, and there you were at the top of the page.
I haven't laughed so hard first thing in the morning in a very long time. So as I sipped my coffee in my ugly hydro flask mug, I got inspired by you to give it a try and got entertained by your wonderful self depreciating humor.

Awesome design!!! I would’ve used resin though to coat it. I’ve only had a few projects with varnish but resin would give you a bit more strength and protection from scratches or peeling.

Hi Moriah! Hydro Flasks are good because they keep things the EXACT temperature they were when you put them in the bottle. For example, if you put hot chocolate in one, it would keep it warm for longer than the average water bottle, and the same for ice-cold drinks.
