I wish there were more monitors like this one... 2560x1600 is an awesome resolution and those extra 160 vertical rows of pixels can make a noticeable difference, but unfortunately all the other desktop monitors I've seen with that res are 30 inches. While I love the 30 inch 16:10 size (I'm typing from an old CCFL-backlit one right now), it's too big to fit into most setups, including my own. A WQXGA 24" panel sounds like a good compromise between physical screen size and high resolution. 24" is about the minimum I would consider practical for WQXGA resolution without scaling though, and even then, some people find 25" QHD (117ppi, less than 24.1" WQXGA) too small.
$380 sounds like a lot for such a monitor, but considering the Dell P2425E (which has a similar featureset but a lower res of 1920x1200) also costs that much, it's not completely outrageous. Still a big ask with high refresh rate QHD gamer monitors costing half as much, but if that means much higher build quality and a more rich featureset (even if the refresh rate isn't super high) then I'd consider that much worth it at least. But then again, the demographic that this monitor is targeting would definitely see more value in this over a 16:9 gaming monitor than the average person would.
I'm just hoping for more competition for WQXGA monitors in general, because even two decades after the first ones released (Apple Cinema HD 30" and Dell 3007WFP) there are still very few of them in existence vs. the sea of QHD and UHD 16:9 monitors, and even ultrawides for that matter.

Great review! How does the text look when connected to a MacBook Pro? I'm hesitant to buy this monitor if the text clarity isn't as good as it is on a 4K display.

The text looks clear and since this is a 24" it looks great at that size in QHD. But yeah a 4K display is much better, so I'd say to go with the 28" version since that one is a 4K display which will give you even clearer text and image.

Does it have the same display width as a 27" 4k monitor?
Also, are the speakers loud and clear enough for audio calls?

Great review. Is text comfortable to view at its default resolution?

You can connect it to the laptop or computer but not directly to the monitor.
